An Improvement of IAP OGCM for the Pacific Ocean Circulation and Its Simulated Results

Based on the oceanic CCM with standard stratification subtraction but without the rigid-lid approximation designed in Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP OGCM) and its numerical modelings for the large-scale ocean circulation, a numerical model for the Pacific Ocean is developed with higher resolution (2.5°×2° in the longitude and latitude, 8 layers in the vertical),the realistic coastline geometry,the smoothed bottom topography and the Richardson number dependent vertical mixing parameterization.The splitting time integration scheme of the barotropic and baroclinic modes is adopted in the model. The numerical simulation under the annual mean atmospheric forcing shows that the model performance is improved substantially compared with the previous low resolution version.This free surface model,in particular, successfully simulates the well-known ridge-trough structure in the sea level, i.e. the equatorial trough, the equatorial ridge near 3°N, the north countercurrent trough between 8°N and 10°N,     

High purity gadolinium by the electrolysis of GdF3

The anodic overvoltage on carbon and platinum electrodes in the electrochemical production of high purity gadolinium from molten 75 LiF-25 mol% GdF₃ solutions is discussed. At the cell temperature of 840°C calciumimpregnated anodes led to the reduction of inert electrode films and to a current yield of nearly 100%.The deposited gadolinium contained 75, 22, 54 and less than 100 ppm of the interstitial elements H, N, O and C respectively; the concentrations of the highest other analysed impurities were: Si (89), Fe (15), Y (5), Zr (3), Nd (3), Tb (71), Ta (49), W (23) and Re (<3 ppm).Partly performed at the Ames Laboratory—U.S. Department of Energy.     

高效液相色谱-串联质谱法同时测定表层水体中5类40种抗生素

建立了固相萃取-高效液相色谱-串联质谱（SPE-HPLC-MS/MS）同时检测表层水中5类40种抗生素的分析方法。水样经过滤、固相萃取柱富集净化后，以乙腈-0.2%（v/v）甲酸水溶液为流动相进行梯度洗脱，采用电喷雾电离源，在多反应监测、正离子模式进行定性定量分析。结果显示，40种抗生素在1~200 μg/L水平下线性关系良好，平均加标回收率为41.3%~112.6%。采用该方法对长江南京段表层水体进行检测，共检出13种抗生素，含量为13.4~780.5 ng/L，其中喹诺酮类抗生素恩诺沙星检出率达100%，大环内酯类抗生素克林霉素最高检出水平达739.4 ng/L。该法高效、灵敏、可靠，可用于实际水样中多种抗生素的分析。     

新型纤维素衍生物手性固定相的制备及其对几种对映异构体的高效液相色谱分离

合成了一种经环十二烷修饰的纤维素酯，将其涂敷于小粒径的氨丙基化硅胶（APS）上，制备出高效液相色谱手性固定相，以正己烷、异丙醇为流动相拆分了2-对氯苯基丙腈、1-对氟苯基乙醇、1-对叔丁基苯氧基-2-丙醇、2-对氯苯基辛腈及三唑醇等5种外消旋对映体，并考察了流动相中异丙醇含量对分离效果的影响。     

Conductance of aqueous NaCl solutions at pressures up to 2000 atm

Electrical conductance measurements are reported for aqueous NaCl solutions at 25°C as a function of concentration up to 0.02M and pressures up to 2000 atm. The data were analyzed with the Fuoss-Hsia-Fernandez-Prini (FHFP) equation. The standard error of fit, , varies from 0.04 at 1 atm to 0.10 at 2000 atm. The increase of with pressure arises from increasing non-randomness in the distribution of errors about the FHFP equation suggesting that modifications in the theory are necessary. The pressure dependence of _O for NaCl and KCl is nearly identical.Contribution of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, New Series     

Binding studies of sodium dodecyl benzene sulphonate with poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone)

The binding of sodium dodecyl benzene sulphonate (SDBS) with poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) (PVP) has been investigated at 303.15 and 313.15 K using equilibrium dialysis, surface tension, viscosity, ultrasound velocity and ultrasound absorption techniques. From each of these studies four distinct regions of SDBS-PVP interactions were observed. Interaction of SDBS with PVP was found to involve the binding of surfactant dimers with the polymer molecule followed by usual micellization. The binding data has been analyzed in terms of various models of polymer-surfactant interaction.     

单分散交联聚甲基丙烯酸环氧丙酯树脂的制备及亲合纯化伴刀豆球蛋白-A

采用一步种子溶胀聚合法制备了颗粒呈单分散的交联聚甲基丙烯酸环氧丙南树脂，对其环氧基的组成比进行了表征，并以氨基葡萄糖为配基，首次制备了纯化粗品伴刀豆球蛋白-A(Ⅲ）(Con-A，Ⅲ)的聚合物基质的高效亲合色谱柱。配基在树脂上的键合量为8．2mg／g，对纯化后的Con-A（Ⅲ）的吸附量为13．4mg／g。使用该亲合色谱介质成功地从粗品Con-A中快速纯化了Con-A，电泳分析显示为一个主要的谱带，纯度从15％提高到95％。     

High-Pressure Synthesis and Crystal Structure of B2S3

Two new high-pressure phases of binary boron-sulfur compounds, B₂S₃-II and B₂S₃-III, were synthesized at 3-6.2 GPa. A single crystal of B₂S₃-III was grown and the structure was determined (tetragonal, space group I4₁/a, a=16.086(2) Å, c=30.488(4) Å; V=7888(1) ų, Z=100, R=3.0% and R_w=2.8% for 3047 observed data [I>3.00σ(I)]. The structure of B₂S₃-III consists of two kinds of macrotetrahedra built up from 20 and 34 BS₄-tetrahedra. These macrotetrahedra connect each other to form an interpenetrating zincblende-type structure by sharing BS₄-tetrahedra at the corners of those. B₂S₃-III is anticipated having a rather disordered structure. From the UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrum, the optical band gap of B₂S₃-III was estimated to be 3.7 eV.
