Hamilton formalism and Noether symmetry for mechanico—electrical systems with fractional derivatives

This paper presents extensions to the traditional calculus of variations for mechanico-electrical systems containing fractional derivatives.The Euler-Lagrange equations and the Hamilton formalism of the mechanico-electrical systems with fractional derivatives are established.The definition and the criteria for the fractional generalized Noether quasisymmetry are presented.Furthermore,the fractional Noether theorem and conseved quantities of the systems are obtained by virtue of the invariance of the Hamiltonian action under the infinitesimal transformations.An example is presented to illustrate the application of the results.     

The thermal effect in diode-end-pumped continuous-wave 914-nm Nd:YVO4 laser

The thermal effect and the heat generation in diode-end-pumped continuous-wave 914-nm Nd:YVO₄ lasers are investigated in detail. A theoretical model of a diode end-pumped solid-state laser is constructed to analyse the influence of fractional thermal loading on the thermal effect in the Nd:YVO₄ laser based on finite element analysis. The thermal focal lengths and the end-surface deformations of laser rods in Nd:YVO₄ quasi-three-level and four-level lasers are measured and compared with the results obtained by ordinary interferometry for the demonstration of higher thermal loading in 914-nm laser. Finally the fractional thermal loading in the Nd:YVO₄ quasi-three-level laser is calculated by matching the experimental and the simulated end deformations.     

Parametric Duality Models for Semiinfinite Multiobjective Fractional Programming Problems Containing Generalized （α,η,ρ）-V-Invex Functions

In this paper, we present several parametric duality results under various generalized ( α,η,ρ )-V- invexity assumptions for a semiinfinite multiobjective fractional programming problem.     

Modified characteristic finite difference fractional step method for moving boundary value problem of percolation coupled system

For the coupled system with moving boundary values of multilayer dynamicsof fluids in porous media,a characteristic finite difference fractional step scheme appli-cable to the parallel arithmetic is put forward.Some techniques,such as the change ofregions,the calculus of variations,the piecewise threefold quadratic interpolation,themultiplicative commutation rule of difference operators,the decomposition of high orderdifference operators,and the prior estimates,are adopted.The optimal order estimatesin the l2norm are derived to determine the error in the approximate solution.This nu-merical method has been successfully used to simulate the flow of migration-accumulationof the multilayer percolation coupled system.Some numerical results are well illustratedin this paper.     

Exact controllability and continuous dependence of fractional neutral integro-differential equations with state-dependent delay

In the present paper, with the help of the resolvent operator and some analytic methods, the exact controllability and continuous dependence are investigated for a fractional neutral integro-differential equations with state-dependent delay. As an application, we also give one example to demonstrate our results.     

Quantal symmetries in the non-linear σ model with Maxwell and non-Abelian Chern-Simons terms

The quantal symmetry property of the CP1 nonlinear σ model with Maxwell non-Abelian ChernSimons terms in(2+1) dimension is studied.In the Coulomb gauge,the system is quantized by using the Faddeev-Senjanovic(FS) path-integral formalism.Based on the quantaum Noether theorem,the quantal conserved angular momentum is derived and the fractional spin at the quantum level in this system is presented.

Wavelet-fractional Fourier transforms

This paper extends the definition of fractional Fourier transform （FRFT） proposed by Namias V by using other orthonormal bases for L^2（R） instead of Hermite-Gaussian functions. The new orthonormal basis is gained indirectly from multiresolution analysis and orthonormal wavelets. The so defined FRFT is called wavelets-fractional Fourier transform.     

Global Optimization Algorithm for the Nonlinear Sum of Ratios Problem

This article presents a branch-and-bound algorithm for globally solving the nonlinear sum of ratios problem (P). The algorithm economizes the required computations by conducting the branch-and-bound search in ^p, rather than in ⁿ, where p is the number of ratios in the objective function of problem (P) and n is the number of decision variables in problem (P). To implement the algorithm, the main computations involve solving a sequence of convex programming problems for which standard algorithms are available.
