This work reports the synthesis of rigid polyurethane (PU) foams modified by disilanolisobutyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (DSIPOSS). This open‐cage nanostructure silsesquioxane has 2 hydroxyl groups and therefore can be chemically built directly in the PU backbone to form hybrid polyurethane‐POSS foam. Synthesis procedure using polymeric 4,4′‐diphenylmethane diisocyanate, polyetherol, and DSIPOSS has been elaborated, and the influence of POSS on the cell structure, closed cell content, apparent density, thermal conductivity, and compression strength of the rigid polyurethane composites has been evaluated. The hybrid composite foams containing 1.5 and 2.0 wt% DSIPOSS showed a reduced number of cells and an increased average area of foam cells in comparison with the unmodified PU, while the addition of 0.5wt% of DSIPOSS causes an increase in the number of cells of the foam as compared with the reference and thus a reduction in the average area of cells. X‐ray microtomography provided data on the porous structure of polyurethane hybrid materials, including reduction of the pore surface area. Scanning electron microscopy and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy analysis revealed a good homogenization of DSIPOSS in polyurethane matrix. Thermogravimetric analysis results have shown that incorporation of POSS nanoparticles into PU foam does not significantly change the degradation process. The compressive strength of PUF‐POSS hybrids in the direction parallel and perpendicular to the direction of foam rise is greater than the strength of the reference foam already for the lowest DSIPOSS content.  相似文献

Investigation into the physics of foaming has traditionally been focused on aqueous systems. Non-aqueous foams, by contrast, are not well understood, but have been the subject of a recent surge in interest motivated by the need to manage foaming across industrial applications. In this review, we provide a comprehensive discussion of the current state-of-the-art methods for characterizing non-aqueous foams, with a critical evaluation of the advantages and limitations of each. Subsequently, we present a concise overview of the current understanding of the mechanisms and methods used for stabilizing and destabilizing non-aqueous foams. We conclude the review by discussing open questions to guide future investigations.  相似文献

以废弃聚氨酯泡沫(PUF)为原料,在其表面依次修饰聚丙烯酸(PAA)、Fe~(3+),然后在230℃条件下,通过高温碳化处理,制备了具有多孔结构的磁性碳化泡沫材料.用光学显微镜、红外吸收光谱(FTIR)、X-射线衍射(XRD)、接触角对磁性碳化泡沫进行表征.详细考察了AA含量、Fe~(3+)浓度对材料吸附容量、吸附速率的影响.材料具有明显的亲油、疏水特性,对各种有机溶剂和油类分子吸附容量都在10 g/g以上,而且在5 min内就可吸附饱和,同时材料密度小,可漂浮于水面对有机溶剂进行快速吸附,并通过外界磁场实现快速分离.因此,该材料在原油泄漏处理、油水分离、油田采出液处理、工业污水净化等领域具有重要的应用价值.  相似文献

The radiative properties of extruded polystyrene foams (XPS) were predicted using morphological data and optical properties of bulk medium. A particular attention was paid on the modelling of the radiative properties of struts, which are located at the junctions between cell walls. The radiative properties of XPS foams were determined by adding the contributions of each particle (walls and struts) using the independent scattering hypothesis. Hemispherical reflectance and transmittance measurements were made in addition to total thermal conductivity measurements. Comparisons were made between theoretical and experimental results and some improvements were suggested to better improve modelling of foam radiative properties.  相似文献

Nonlinear behavior of composite sandwich beams in three-point bending   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The load-deflection behavior of a composite sandwich beam in three-point bending was investigated. The beam was made of unidirectional carbon/epoxy facings and a polyvinyl chloride closed-cell foam core. The load-deflection curves were plotted up to the point of failure initiation. They consist of an initial linear part followed by a nonlinear portion. A nonlinear mechanics of materials analysis that accounts for the combined effect of the nonlinear behavior of the facings and core materials (material nonlinearity) and the large deflections of the beam (geometric nonlinearity) was developed. The theoretical predictions were in good agreement with the experimental results. It was found that the effect of material nonlinearity on the deflection of the beam is more pronounced for shear-dominated core failures in the case of short span lengths. It is due to the nonlinear shear stress-strain behavior of the core. For long span lengths, the observed nonlinearity is small and is attributed to the combined effect of the facings nonlinear stress-strain behavior and the large deflections of the beam.  相似文献

An analytical one-dimensional model of the microphase separation in symmetric diblock copolymers is developed. Three stages of the process of the microphase segregation of a quenched diblock copolymer system into a lamella structure are predicted. The first stage involves a fast increase of the amplitude of the quasi-periodical lamella structure (with the average wave vector q0) up to a nearly equilibrium value; the second stage is a slow phase diffusion process which is characterized by increasing coherency of the lamella structure; the third stage is the slow process of the lamella swelling, which is driven by the thermally activated process of the spontaneous deletion of excessive lamellas, the lamella size increasing from the initial value 2π/q 0 to the equilibrium 2π/q eq > 2π/q 0 during the process. The last two stages are described with the specially introduced coarse-grained “amplitude-phase” approximation. It is shown that the relaxation of the gradient of the phase of the lamellar structure is the slowest relaxation process and, thus, can be used as an effective order parameter of the lamellar structure at the later stages of the microphase segregation.
