An improved version of the four-hole directional pressure probe, or Cobra probe, is described, in which the frequency response has been extended to 1.5 kHz. The probe measures all three orthogonal mean and turbulent velocity components at a point in the flow field. The probe also resolves the local mean and turbulent components of static pressure, allowing moments between the fluctuating velocity components and pressure to be determined. The techniques developed to allow the improved frequency response and the use of the probe in turbulent, developed pipe flow (a calibration flow) are described. 本文从 4条基本假设出发 ,建立了非饱和土的广义朗肯土压力公式 ,采用理想试验对该公式进行了验证 ,在北京地铁13号线的东直门车站基坑工程中理论分析结果和实测值非常接近 ,证明了该理论的有效性。土的广义朗肯土压力公式建立了土的试验指标与原位指标的关系 ,从理论上给出了用土的试验指标得到原位主动 (被动 )土压力的方法。对于非饱和土 ,采用简单易得的直剪试验指标应用广义朗肯土压力公式就可以得到相当精确的结果 ,弥补了扩展朗肯土压力理论的不足。而且广义朗肯土压力公式能够合理利用已有的工程经验和工程数据 ,为非饱和土力学的工程实用化提供了一条新的思路。 相似文献

The process of vortex formation in a cavity with inclined walls, which has a moderate aspect ratio, is experimentally studied,
and the distribution of pressure coefficients is measured. The angle of inclination of the side walls ϕ is varied from 30
to 90°. It is found that the flow in the cavity becomes unstable in the range of inclination angles ϕ = 60–70°. Flow reconstruction
occurs, which substantially alters the surface-temperature and static-pressure distributions. Large changes in these characteristics
and their nonuniform distributions for these angles are observed across the cavity on its frontal wall and on the bottom.
For small angles (ϕ = 30 and 45°), the pressure on the rear wall drastically increases, which leads to a small increase in
pressure averaged over the entire cavity surface.

Hydroplaning characteristics of patterned tire on wet road are investigated by making use of finite volume and finite element methods. A detailed 3-D patterned tire model is constructed by our in-house modeling program and the rainwater flow is considered as incompressible and inviscid. Meanwhile, the fluid–structure interaction between the highly complicated tire tread and the rainwater flow is effectively treated by the general coupling method. Through the numerical experiments, the rainwater flow drained through tire grooves, hydrodynamic pressure and contact force are investigated and compared with those of the three-grooved tire model. 相似文献

Based on von Mises’ yield criterion, deformation theory of plasticity and Swift’s hardening law, elasto-plastic deformation of variable thickness annular disks subjected to external pressure is studied. A nonlinear shooting method using Newton’s iterations with numerically approximated tangent is designed for the solution of the problem. Considering a thickness profile in the form of a general parabolic function, the condition of occurrence of plastic deformation at the inner and outer edges of the annular disk is investigated. A critical disk profile is determined and the corresponding elastic–plastic stresses as well as the residual stress distribution upon removal of the applied pressure are computed and discussed. 相似文献

There are different excitation mechanisms that cause fatal damages due to undesirable vibrations in heat exchanger tube bundles
subjected to cross-flow. One of them is the fluid-damping-controlled instability (galloping) that is characterised by a sudden
appearance of large amplitudes of the tubes exclusively in cross-flow direction. This paper reports on investigations using
an experimental set-up in a wind tunnel where the galloping mechanism in a tube bundle can be observed as an isolated phenomenon.
The apparatus allows to realise several tube bundle configurations and geometry's of real heat exchangers. The position of
a flexible test tube with a linear iso-viscoelastic mounting inside the tube array is variable. The test tube is equipped
with dynamical pressure sensors which are placed directly under pressure holes inside the tube. For the investigation of the
acting fluid forces the non-stationary pressure distribution is measured simultaneously at 30 points on the circumference
in mid plane and at 15 points in line along the tube together with the tube motion. The acting fluid forces are determined
by integration of the whole pressure field process. The study gives insights into the effect of the fluid-damping-controlled
instability that is still not fully understood. Moreover, a flow visualization gives an impression of the mechanism at relevant
Reynolds-numbers. The results show that in case of instability due to galloping the correlation length of the forces acting
along the tube axis increases suddenly to large values. The fluid forces are correlated well for the whole tube when galloping
is dominant. The exciting fluid forces show harmonic character and lead to a classical resonance behaviour. Instead of a simple
free vibration test in vacuum or still air, which is done mostly for fluid excited structures, the damping coefficient of
the oscillating system is determined under operating conditions on the basis of the measured fluid forces. A comparison of
the results with those of a free vibration test in still air is shown.
