包含极值点和分枝点的解曲线跟踪算法的摄动解法

本文提出了采用摄动格式求解非线性方程组的解曲线跟踪算法的计算格式.文中着重讨论了解曲线上非正则点的搜索,以及从这些非正则点——转向点或分枝点——继续跟踪超临界平衡路径的计算方法.文中把这一算法应用于弹性薄壳的屈曲分析。通过柱壳和环壳的算例得到它们的整个屈曲过程的平衡路径和变形形态.     

Complete convergence for arrays

Let {(X _nk , 1≤k≤n),n≥1}, be an array of rowwise independent random variables. We extend and generalize some recent results due to Hu, Móricz and Taylor concerning complete convergence, in the sense of Hsu and Robbins, of the sequence of rowwise arithmetic means.     

DISTRIBUTIONS OF LIMIT CYCLES FOR POLYNOMIAL VECTOR FIELDS (P_2, Q_3)

The distributions of limit cycles of cubic vector fields (P2, Q3) are considered in this paper, where P2 and Q3 are polynomials of x and y of order two and three, respectively. It is possibly seven different distributions of limit cycles given in [1]. We now prove that in which three kinds of distributions are impossible and other four kinds all can be realized by concrete vector fields of (P2,Q3). Some related results are also given.     

A NECESSARY AND SUFFICIENT CONDITION FOR THE COEXISTENCE OF A CLASS OF CUBIC CURVE SEPARATRIX CYCLES AND LIMIT CYCLES TO THE CUBIC SYSTEM

In this paper, we give the necessary and sufficient condition for the coexistence of a class of cubic curve separatrix cycles and limit cycles to the cubic system, and study their topological structures.     

极限环的表达式和计算

本文提出一种解析法和数值法相结合的方法，用来计算多项式微分系统的极限环，极限环表示为x=∑k≥0(ak cos kφ bk sin kφ),y=∑k≥0(ck cos kφ dk sin kφ)，先用解析法求出小参数时极限环的初始表达式，然后用增量法和迭代法求出任意参数时极限环满足给定精度的表达式，半稳定极限环和分叉值也可以计算。     

一类三次系统极限环的惟一性

讨论三次系统x=x(A0+A1x+A2y+A3xy-A4y2)y=y(x-1)的极限环问题.得到了该系统不存在极限环和存在惟一极限环的条件.     

Equilibrium time correlation functions in the low-density limit

We consider a system of hard spheres in thermal equilibrium. Using Lanford's result about the convergence of the solutions of the BBGKY hierarchy to the solutions of the Boltzmann hierarchy, we show that in the low-density limit (Boltzmann-Grad limit): (i) the total time correlation function is governed by the linearized Boltzmann equation (proved to be valid for short times), (ii) the self time correlation function, equivalently the distribution of a tagged particle in an equilibrium fluid, is governed by the Rayleigh-Boltzmann equation (proved to be valid for all times). In the latter case the fluid (not including the tagged particle) is to zeroth order in thermal equilibrium and to first order its distribution is governed by a combination of the Rayleigh-Boltzmann equation and the linearized Boltzmann equation (proved to be valid for short times).Supported in part by NSF Grant PHY 78-22302.     

Mann-Whitney test for associated sequences

Let {X ₁, ...,X _m } and {Y ₁, ...,Y _n } be two samples independent of each other, but the random variables within each sample are stationary associated with one dimensional marginal distribution functionsF andG, respectively. We study the properties of the classical Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney statistic for testing for stochastic dominance in the above set up.     

Invariance Principle Under Self-Normalization for Nonidentically Distributed Random Variables

Let V _n ^–1 _n be the adaptive process of self-normalized partial sums S _k of independent random variables X _i , defined by linear interpolation between the points (V _k ²/V _n ²,S _k /V _n ), kn, where V _k ²= _ik X _i ². We prove that if the X _k 's are symmetric, V _n ^–1 _n converges weakly to the Brownian motion W in each Hölder space supporting W if and only if V _n ^–1 max _kn |X _k |=o _P (1). We give some partial extension to the non symmetric case.
