Form‐stable resorbable networks are prepared by gamma irradiating trimethylene carbonate (TMC)‐ and ε‐caprolactone (CL)‐based (co)polymer films. To evaluate their suitability for biomedical applications, their physical properties and erosion behavior are investigated. Homopolymer and copolymer networks that are amorphous at room temperature are flexible and rubbery with elastic moduli ranging from 1.8 ± 0.3 to 5.2 ± 0.4 MPa and permanent set values as low as 0.9% strain. The elastic moduli of the semicrystalline networks are higher and range from 61 ± 3 to 484 ± 34 MPa. The erosion behavior of (co)polymer networks is investigated in vitro using macrophage cultures, and in vivo by subcutaneous implantation in rats. In macrophage cultures, as well as upon implantation, a surface erosion process is observed for the amorphous (co)polymer networks, while an abrupt decrease in the rate and a change in the nature of the erosion process are observed with increasing crystallinity. These resorbable and form‐stable networks with tuneable properties may find application in a broad range of biomedical applications.

本文中通过对PTFE纤维/芳纶纤维混合编织衬垫分别进行稀土处理和丙酮处理,研究了在倾斜摆动条件下衬垫改性对自润滑关节轴承摩擦学性能的影响,并用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)以及三维形貌仪分析了衬垫磨损表面微观形貌.研究结果表明:与未经改性处理衬垫的轴承相比,经稀土处理和丙酮处理后自润滑关节轴承减磨耐磨性能均得到提高,其中在高摆频工况下,衬垫经稀土处理后自润滑关节轴承减摩耐磨性能得到更大程度的提高;稀土处理轴承衬垫仅出现轻微黏着磨损,这是由于稀土处理过程增强了衬垫层的自润滑功能.  相似文献

Dark spot growth rate tracing experiments performed on an organic light‐emitting device show that moisture entering into the device is relatively properly fitted by Fick's diffusion equation in the substrate/indium tin oxide (ITO)/hole transport layer (HTL)/silver (Ag) structure. It is believed that the moisture is dissolved into the polymer layer, which results in a decrease in the diffusion coefficient in the device with the substrate/ITO/HTL/electroluminescent (EL) polymer/Ag structure. The diffusion and chemical reaction occurring in the cathode layer further decreases the diffusion coefficient in the device with the substrate/ITO/HTL/EL polymer/calcium/Ag structure. Useful parameters, such as diffusion and solubility constants, describing possible mechanisms happening during dark spot growth on organic light‐emitting diode devices are extracted. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Thin films deposited on the phosphonate 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) self-assembled monolayer (SAM) were prepared on the hydroxylated silicon substrate by self-assembling process from specially formulated solution. Chemical compositions of the films were detected by X-ray photoelectron spectrometry (XPS). The thickness of the films was determined with an ellipsometer, and the morphologies and nanotribological properties of the samples were analyzed by means of atomic force microscopy (AFM). As a result, the target film was obtained and the thin films were deposited on the silicon substrate. It was also found that the thin films showed the lowest friction and adhesion followed by APTES-SAM and phosphorylated APTES-SAM, while silicon substrate showed high friction and adhesion. Microscale scratch/wear studies clearly showed that thin films were much more scratch/wear resistant than the other samples. The superior friction reduction and scratch/wear resistance of thin films were attributed to low work of adhesion of non-polar terminal groups and the strong bonding strength between the films and the substrate.  相似文献

Through the functionalization of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) by 0,0′‐diallylbisphenol A (DBA), the interface situation between MWCNTs and bismaleimide (BMI) was improved, as detected by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The improved interface situation was considered to be the main reason for the huge increased microhardness value and greatly improved the microtribological property of MWCNTs/BMI composites. Besides, the wear mechanism for the composite was also believed to be related to the interfacial situation. The rough wavelike worn surface of pure BMI resin is attributed to its poor load capacity. The smoother waterfall‐shape worn surface of MWCNTs/BMI is related to the interface formed by the addition of MWCNTs while the ultrasmooth worn surface of DBA modified MWCNTs/BMI is due to the greatly improved interfacial interaction of the composite. To improve the wear resistance of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a crosslinked aromatic thermosetting polyester (ATSP) has been blended directly with PTFE. Cured ATSP powder which was directly synthesized as a cured powder form was used for this application. Because of the similar processing temperature range of cured ATSP and PTFE, composites within the entire composition range were successfully prepared by blending these two powders using a hot press. Tribological pin‐on‐disk tests (composite pins sliding against gray cast iron disks) showed improvement on friction coefficient of all composites and much less wear than pure PTFE. The composites survived at contact pressures of 7 MPa, which is higher than either pure PTFE or pure ATSP could sustain. With an increase in the amount of ATSP in the composites, storage modulus, and glass transition temperature were higher, and the wear resistance was enhanced. SEM images helped provide explanations for the unusually low mean wear rates that were observed for these composite samples. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

利用高分辨透射电子显微镜和原子力显微镜观察了含纳米颗粒溶液冲蚀硅片表面损伤行为,考察了纳米颗粒碰撞单晶硅片所导致的微观物理损伤.结果表明:冲蚀30 s后,在高分辨透射电子显微镜下可见硅片表面呈现方向性损伤,并可观察到大量非均匀的晶格缺陷;当冲蚀10 min时,硅片表面出现微观划痕和凹坑,在划痕一端可见原子堆积,亚表面可观察到镶嵌晶粒的非晶损伤层;继续延长冲蚀时间将加剧其表面损伤.  相似文献

采用MM-200型摩塔磨损试验机考察了45^#钢/球墨铸铁摩擦副在650SN基础油和含羟基硅酸盐矿物复合微粉的650SN基础油(KF-1)润滑下的摩擦磨损性能,结果表明:在650SN基础油润滑下的摩擦系数和磨损率随试验时间增加变化较小;而在KF-1润滑下,试验初期的摩擦系数和磨损率比基础油润滑下的稍大,随着试验时间的延长,相应的摩擦系数和磨损率同基础油润滑下的相比明显降低.磨损表面显微硬度测试结果表明,在KF-1润滑下45^#钢磨损表面形成了多孔摩擦改性层,硬度明显提高,因而摩擦磨损性能显著改善.  相似文献
