The Atiyah-Segal completion theorem for C*-algebras

We generalize the Atiyah-Segal completion theorem to C ^*-algebras as follows. Let A be a C ^*-algebra with a continuous action of the compact Lie group G. If K _* ^G (A) is finitely generated as an R(G)-module, or under other suitable restrictions, then the I(G)-adic completion K _* ^G (A) is isomorphic to RK _*([A C(EG)]^G), where RK _* is representable K-theory for - C ^*-algebras and EG is a classifying space for G. As a corollary, we show that if and are homotopic actions of G, and if K _*(C ^* (G,A,)) and K _*(C ^* (G,A,)) are finitely generated, then K _*(C ^*(G,A,))K_*(C ^* (G,A,)). We give examples to show that this isomorphism fails without the completions. However, we prove that this isomorphism does hold without the completions if the homotopy is required to be norm continuous.This work was partially supported by an NSF Graduate Fellowship and by an NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship.     

On the Least Number of Fixed Points of an Equivariant Map

The problem on the least number of fixed points of an equivariant map of a compact polyhedron on which a finite group acts is considered. For such a map, the least number of fixed points and the least number of fixed orbits are estimated in terms of invariants of the type of Nielsen numbers. The estimates obtained are sharp. The results are similar to those of P. Wong, but their assumptions are essentially weaker. Some notations are refined. The proofs are constructive.     

Twisted equivariant K-theory for proper actions of discrete groups

We will make a construction of twisted equivariant K-theory for proper actions of discrete groups by using ideas of Lück and Oliver (Topology 40:585–616, 2001) to expand a construction of Adem and Ruan (Comm. Math. Phys. 237:533–556, 2003).     

对称熵损失下的一类指数族刻度参数估计

In this paper we investigate the estimator for the rth power of the scale parameter in a class of exponential family under symmetric entropy loss L（θ, δ） = v（θ/δ ＋ δ/θ - 2）. An exact form of the minimum risk equivariant estimator under symmetric entropy loss is given, and the minimaxity of the minimum risk equivariant estimator is proved. The results with regard to admissibility and inadmissibility of a class of linear estimators of the form cT（X） ＋ d are given, where T（X） Gamma（v, θ）.     

Formules de localisation en cohomologie equivariante

In this paper, we develop a method of localization in equivariant cohomology based on the notion of partition of unity cohomology. We apply this method in two cases. In the first case, this method gives a refinement of the localization of Atiyah–Bott and Berline–Vergne (in the frame given by Bismut). After, we consider the Hamiltonian action of a torus, and we realise, following the idea of Witten, the localization on the critical points of the square of the moment map.     

Covering relations for multidimensional dynamical systems—II

We use a topological technique based on covering relations to prove the existence of chaotic orbits for certain Hamiltonian systems with several degrees of freedom. This paper relies on an earlier work of Zgliczyński and Gidea.     

Weights in the cohomology of toric varieties

We describe the weight filtration in the cohomology of toric varieties. We present a role of the Frobenius automorphism in an elementary way. We prove that equivariant intersection homology of an arbitrary toric variety is pure. We obtain results concerning Koszul duality: nonequivariant intersection cohomology is equal to the cohomology of the Koszul complexIH _T ^* (X)⊗H*(T). Equivariant Lagrangian Minimal S^3 in CP^3

The equivariant Lagrangian minimal immersion of Sa into C.Pa is studied. The complete classification and analytic expression for such kinds of immersions are given.     

On G-Compactifications

The semilattice of G-compactifications of a G-Tikhonov space X is studied. The question of what sets containing X and contained in the maximal G-compactification β _G X must be contained also in all other G-compactifications of X is considered. Conditions for β _G X to be the completion of the G-space X with respect to a natural uniformity (proximity) on X are obtained. Sufficient conditions for the existence of a smallest (minimal, unique) G-compactification of X are given.

本文在平方损失函数下,考虑了刻度参数的最小风险同变估计Tn有关的一般同变估计类￡2=Tn[1+(∑in=1X2i)-12∑in=1ci|Xi|],ci 0中估计的ε-稳定性,同时也对正态分布中刻度参数σ的估计的ε-稳定性作了细致的讨论。
