A solution to the problem on the stability according to the flexural buckling mode is given for a cylindrical sandwich shell with a transversely soft core of arbitrary thickness. The shell is under the action of a temperature field inhomogeneous across the thickness, and its end faces are fastened in such a way (in the axial direction, the face sections of the external layer are fixed, but of the internal one are free) that an inhomogeneous subcritical stress-strain state arises in the shell across the thickness of its layers. It is shown that, under such conditions, the buckling mode of the shell is mixed flexural. In the present investigation, the coupled phenomenon of opposing mixed convection and radiation within differentially heated eccentric horizontal cylindrical annulus has been numerically simulated. The radiation transfer contributed from the participating medium is obtained by solving the nonlinear integro‐differential radiative transfer equation using discrete ordinate method. The participating gray medium is considered to be emitting, absorbing and isotropically scattering. The walls of the annulus are considered to be opaque, diffuse and gray. In the study it has been observed that the Richardson number ‘Ri’ has a small effect on the total Nusselt number ‘Nu’ in mixed convection heat transfer with or without radiation. From the present investigation it is found that substantial changes occur in isotherms as well as in flow patterns, when the Richardson number is allowed to vary in the range of 0.01–1. A novel approach for the preparation of PMMA-PDMS core-shell particles with PDMS in the shell 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The core/shell particles consisting of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) core and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) shell via 3-(methacryloxypropyl)-trimethoxysilane (MPS) as the medium to link the core and shell were prepared in our present study by successive seeding polymerization under kinetically controlled conditions and were characterized by FT-IR, particle size analyzer, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).The picture of optical microscope showed the clear form of PDMS-0 and PDMS-40 (the content of PDMS in the particles), which approached to monodispersed distribution. Compared with the PMMA microspheres, PDMS-40 presented an evident core/shell structure through the observation of TEM. Additionally, the study of XPS revealed that PDMS could be grafted onto the surface of PMMA particles and the atomic ratio of C/Si on the surface of PDMS-40 was very close to the ratio of C/Si in the molecule of PDMS. The surface properties of the films produced from the core/shell microspheres also were investigated by contact angle method, contrast with the homopolymer of PMMA, the core/shell particles were more effective to form hydrophobic surface and the water repellency on the surface would be better than that of PMMA. 相似文献

We describe the surface modification of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs), the coverage of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNiPAM) microgel with the MNPs and the inductive heating of these carriers. PNiPAM surface itself was modified using the layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly of polyelectrolytes to facilitate the deposition of surface-modified MNPs. One advantage of this concept is it allows the tuning of the magnetic and thermoresponsive properties of individual components (nanoparticles and microgels) separately before assembling them. Characterisations of the hybrid core–shell are discussed. In particular, it is shown that (i) each layer is successfully deposited and, more importantly, (ii) the coated microgel retains its thermoresponsive and magnetic behaviour. 相似文献

Particle number fluctuations in BCS theory are studied with the relativistic mean-field theory and the shell effects of particle number fluctuations are first discovered. By analyzing the relative errors of the particle number fluctuations, we find that the particle number fluctuations are relevant with the odd-even character. We later apply this method to the examination of the new shell structure, showing that N = 184 for the neutron is indeed a new closed shell. 相似文献

考虑了润滑油的存在对冰箱压缩机壳体噪声辐射的影响,运用流固耦合有限元方法,计算了不同润滑油量下壳体的耦合模态,以及壳体在单点激励下的远场辐射。数值分析结果发现:润滑油的存在对壳体的第5阶和第10阶固有频率影响比较大,随着油面高度的增加,第5阶和第10阶固有频率呈下降趋势;润滑油对壳体噪声辐射影响的主要频率范围在1000Hz-2000Hz,并且在此频率范围内,随着油面高度的升高,峰值频率向高频移动并且峰值逐渐增大。最后通过实验初步验证了该结诊的正确性.为冰箱压缩机的设计提供了参考依据。 相似文献
