The theorem proved in this paper gives a congruence for the traces of powers of an algebraic integer for the case in which the exponent of the power is a prime power. The theorem implies a congruence in Gauss’ form for the traces of the sums of powers of algebraic integers, generalizing many familiar versions of Fermat’s little theorem. Applied to the traces of integer matrices, this gives a proof of Arnold’s conjecture about the congruence of the traces of powers of such matrices for the case in which the exponent of the power is a prime power. 相似文献

We prove that THN-operators with Bishop's property (β), also THN-contractions with a compact defect operator such that and non-zero isolated eigenvalues of T are normal, are not supercyclic. Take A and B in THN and let dAB denote either of the elementary operators in B(B(H)): ΔAB and δAB, where ΔAB(X)=AXB−X and δAB(X)=AX−XB. We prove that if non-zero isolated eigenvalues of A and B are normal and , then dAB is an isoloid operator such that the quasi-nilpotent part H0(dAB−λ) of dAB−λ equals −1(dAB−λ)(0) for every complex number λ which is isolated in σ(dAB). The purpose of this paper is to exhibit the relations between some basic results derived from the two kinds of topologies (namely the (ε,λ)-topology and the stronger locally L0-convex topology) for a random locally convex module. First, we give an extremely simple proof of the known Hahn-Banach extension theorem for L0-linear functions as well as its continuous variant. Then we give the relations between the hyperplane separation theorems in [D. Filipovi?, M. Kupper, N. Vogelpoth, Separation and duality in locally L0-convex modules, J. Funct. Anal. 256 (2009) 3996-4029] and a basic strict separation theorem in [T.X. Guo, H.X. Xiao, X.X. Chen, A basic strict separation theorem in random locally convex modules, Nonlinear Anal. 71 (2009) 3794-3804]: in the process we also obtain a very useful fact that a random locally convex module with the countable concatenation property must have the same completeness under the two topologies. Let C be a small category and k a field. There are two interesting mathematical subjects: the category algebra kC and the classifying space |C|=BC. We study the ring homomorphism HH∗(kC)→H∗(|C|,k) and prove it is split surjective, using the factorization category of Quillen [D. Quillen, Higher algebraic K-theory I, in: Lecture Notes in Math., vol. 341, Springer-Verlag, Berlin, 1973, pp. 85-147] and certain techniques from functor cohomology theory. This generalizes the well-known theorems for groups and posets. Based on this result, we construct a seven-dimensional category algebra whose Hochschild cohomology ring modulo nilpotents is not finitely generated, disproving a conjecture of Snashall and Solberg [N.
