The polymer-cement composite is an immiscible band having modified morphology. Polymer phase improves the toughness of brittle cement and has a reinforcing effect, and interactions between cement components and polymers provide stability. In this study, polymer latex [poly(methyl methacrylate), PMMA] – cement paste was prepared with different weight proportions of polymer content. The main scientific objective of this report has been the analysis and the prediction of high strength with the aim of understanding the interactions of PMMA polymer with Portland cement after hydration reaction of cement pastes and curing the specimens for 28 days. The samples were studied by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The results are critically examined. It is shown that bands support the interaction of PMMA with cement in the composite. 相似文献

Ozone adsorption and decomposition on metal oxides is of wide interest in technology and in atmospheric chemistry. Here, ozone‐adsorption‐induced band bending is observed on Ti‐ and Fe‐oxide model surfaces under dry and humid conditions. Photoelectron spectroscopic studies indicate the effect of charge transfer to O3, which limits the surface coverage of the precursor to decomposition reactions. This is also consistent with the negative pressure dependence observed in previous studies. These results contribute to our fundamental understanding of ozone adsorption and decomposition mechanisms on metal oxides of environmental and technological relevance. 相似文献

Some symmetrical dimeric compounds containing biphenyl, biphenylcarboxylic acid or benzoiloxyphenyl moieties and polymethylene spacers were synthesised. The mesogenic properties of the synthesised compounds were investigated by optical microscopy, calorimetric and X-ray methods. The short‐time Fourier transform has been shown to be a powerful tool for non‐stationary signals and time‐varying systems. This paper investigates the signal moments in the Hardy–Sobolev space that do not usually have classical derivatives. That is, signal moments become valid for non‐smooth signals if we replace the classical derivatives by the Hardy–Sobolev derivatives. Our work is based on the extension of Cohen's contributions to the local and global behaviors of the signal. The relationship of the moments and spreads of the signal in the time, frequency and short‐time Fourier domain are established in the Hardy–Sobolev space. The Raman spectra of Ge‐clinopyroxenes CaM2+Ge2O6 (M2+ = Mg, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn), general formula M2M1T2O6, are reported for the first time. Their spectral features are discussed in comparison with corresponding Si‐pyroxenes. The vibrational wavenumbers of germanates may be roughly obtained by a scale factor of about ~0.8 by those of the corresponding silicates, due to the Ge‐Si mass difference. The main peaks in the germanate Raman spectra at ~850 and ~540 cm−1 may be related to Ge‐O tetrahedral stretching and chain bending, respectively; minor peaks between 200 and 400 cm−1 are ascribed to bending and stretching of the non‐tetrahedral cations. Within Ge‐pyroxenes, possible correlations between crystallographic parameters and the vibrational wavenumbers are investigated. The main stretching mode at ~850 cm−1 shows wavenumber changes with M2+ substitutions, but no simple correlation can be found with M2+ cation mass or size. On the other hand, the chain bending wavenumber linearly decreases with increasing ionic radius of the M2+ cation: the expansion of the M1 polyhedron reduces the chain kinking angle and the Ge‐Ge distances correspondingly increase. The optimized geometric parameters of the 2-Amino-6-chlorofluoren-9-one (2A6CF9O) compound were estimated by employing density functional theory. The electronic characteristics of the molecule were explored using molecular frontier orbital energies and the MEP surface. Kamlet's and Catalan's multiple linear regression techniques along with different polarity functions were used to investigate the influence of pure solvents on spectral properties. In the system, both general solute-solvent and hydrogen bonding interactions are active. However, as compared to normal solute-solvent interactions, hydrogen bonding interactions have a smaller role. In addition, using computed ground state dipole moment, solvatochromic correlations were employed to infer excited state dipole moment. 相似文献

Recently, more attention have been paid on the construction of dipole moment functions (DMF) using theoretical methods. However, the computational methods to construct DMFs are not validated as much as those for potential energy surfaces do. In this letter, using Ar...He as an example, we tested how spectroscopyaccuracy DMFs can be constructed using ab initio methods. We especially focused on the basis set dependency in this scenario, i.e., the convergence of DMF with the sizes of basis sets, basis set superposition error, and mid-bond functions. We also tested the explicitly correlated method, which converges with smaller basis sets than the conventional methods do. This work can serve as a pictorial sample of all these computational technologies behaving in the context of constructing DMFs. 相似文献

The geometries, electronic structures, spin magnetic moments (SMMs), orbital magnetic moments (OMMs) and spin anisotropy energies (SAEs) of light rare earth atoms (La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, and Gd) embedded in graphene were studied by using first-principles calculations based on Density Functional Theory (DFT). The spin-orbital coupling effect was taken into account and GGA+U method was adopted to describe the strongly localized and correlated 4f electrons. There is a significant deformation of the graphene plane after doping and optimization. The deformation of Gd doped graphene is the largest, while Eu the smallest. The results show that the valence is +3 for La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm and Gd, and +2 for Eu. Except Eu and Gd, there are obvious OMMs. When the spin is in the Z direction, the OMMs are −0.941 μB, −1.663 μB, −3.239 μB, −3.276 μB and −3.337 μB for Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm and Sm, respectively, and point the opposite direction of SMMs. All the doped systems except Gd show considerable SAEs. For Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, and Eu, the SAEs are −0.928 meV, 20.941 meV, −8.848 meV, 7.855 meV, 75.070 meV and 0.810 meV, respectively. When the spin orientation is different, different orbital angular moments lead to apparent charge density difference of the 4f atoms, which can also explain the origin of SAEs. 相似文献

Synchrotron infrared beamlines are powerful tools on which to perform spectroscopy on microscopic length scales but require working with large bending‐magnet source apertures in order to provide intense photon beams to the experiments. Many infrared beamlines use a single toroidal‐shaped mirror to focus the source emission which generates, for large apertures, beams with significant geometrical aberrations resulting from the shape of the source and the beamline optics. In this paper, an optical layout optimized for synchrotron infrared beamlines, that removes almost totally the geometrical aberrations of the source, is presented and analyzed. This layout is already operational on the IR beamline of the Brazilian synchrotron. An infrared beamline design based on a SOLEIL bending‐magnet source is given as an example, which could be useful for future IR beamline improvements at this facility. 相似文献
