Abstract

Integrals in Hopf algebras are an essential tool in studying finite dimensional Hopf algebras and their action on rings. Over fields it has been shown by Sweedler that the existence of integrals in a Hopf algebra is equivalent to the Hopf algebra being finite dimensional. In this paper we examine how much of this is true Hopf algebras over rings. We show that over any commutative ring R that is not a field there exists a Hopf algebra H over R containing a non-zero integral but not being finitely generated as R-module. On the contrary we show that Sweedler's equivalence is still valid for free Hopf algebras or projective Hopf algebras over integral domains. Analogously for a left H-module algebra A we study the influence of non-zero left A#H-linear maps from A to A#H on H being finitely generated as R-module. Examples and application to separability are given.  相似文献

For a Hopf algebra H over a commutative ring k and a left H-module V, the tensor functors ? ? k V and V ? k  ? are known to be left adjoint to some kind of Hom-functors as endofunctors of H 𝕄. The units and counits of adjunctions, in this case, are formally trivial as in the classical case.

In this paper, we generalize this Hom-tensor adjunction for (bi-)module categories over a quasi-Hopf algebra H and show that these (bi-)module categories are biclosed monoidal. However, the units and counits of adjunctions in these generalized cases are not as trivial as in the Hopf algebra case, and they should be modified in terms of the reassociator and the quasi-antipode. Also, if the H-module V is finitely generated and projective as a k-module, we will obtain a generalized form of adjunction between the tensor functors ? ?V and ? ?V* depending on the reassociator and quasi-antipode of H and describe a natural isomorphism between functors ? ?V* and Hom k (V, ?) explicitly. Furthermore, we consider the special case V = A being an H-module algebra. In this case, each tensor functor will be a monad and its corresponding right adjoint is a comonad. We describe isomorphisms between the (Eilenberg–Moore) module categories over these monads and the (Eilenberg–Moore) comodule categories over their corresponding comonads explicitly.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of the set of primes associated to a graded ring extension of Noetherian multigraded rings and modules, and prove that the periodicity occurs in a cone. We also prove the same asymptotic behavior of the grade. The previous known results on this subject are recovered as a special case.  相似文献

The purpose of this article is to introduce the notion of valuations on a module over a commutative ring. Some basic results on valuations on a module are established. Let R be a commutative ring with unit, and let E be an R-module. We say the functor of R-modules E, defined by E(B) = E ? R B, is a quasi-coherent R-module, and its dual E* is an R-module scheme. Both types of R-module functors are essential for the development of the theory of the linear representations of an affine R-group. We prove that a quasi-coherent R-module E is an R-module scheme if and only if E is a projective R-module of finite type, and, as a consequence, we also characterize finitely generated projective R-modules.  相似文献

We define and study the symmetric version of differential torsion theories. We prove that the symmetric versions of some of the existing results on derivations on right modules of quotients hold for derivations on symmetric modules of quotients. In particular, we prove that the symmetric Lambek, Goldie, and perfect torsion theories are differential.

We also study conditions under which a derivation on a right or symmetric module of quotients extends to a right or symmetric module of quotients with respect to a larger torsion theory. Using these results, we study extensions of ring derivations to maximal, total, and perfect right and symmetric rings of quotients.  相似文献

In this article, we introduce and study a common generalization of the twisted tensor product construction of nonlocal vertex algebras and their modules. We investigate some properties of this new construction; for instance, we give the relations between L-R-twisted tensor product nonlocal vertex algebras and twisted tensor product vertex algebras. Furthermore, we find the conditions for constructing an iterated L-R-twisted tensor product nonlocal vertex algebra and its module.  相似文献
