In der Arbeit wird das im Kernforschungszentrum Saclay, Frankreich, entwicketle Gerät “SARIEL” für die Röntgenfluores-zenzanalyse mit Radionuklid-Stralungsquellen bechrieben. Das Gerät besitzt als Detektor einen fensterlosen Proportional-zāhler und ermöglicht bei Verwendung von α-Quellen die Bestimmung auch leichter Elemente, wie z. B. Kohlenstoff. Der Aufbau des Geräts und einige typische Anwedungsbeispiele werden erläutert.  相似文献

A two channel microscope image comparator is described which is capable of quantifying all current national standard defects. It has been designed to solve the difficulties that arise when optically worked surfaces, which have been visually assessed, are transferred between companies working to different standards and methods of flaw measurement. The instrument, using both visual and objective methods, can give the same severity rating for a surface flaw, thus allowing for transferable standards.  相似文献

This paper deals with the numerical solution, using finite difference methods, of the hydrodynamic and turbulence energy equations which describe wind wave and tidally induced flow. Calculations are performed using staggered and non-staggered finite difference grids in the vertical, with various time discretizations of the production and dissipation terms in the turbulence energy equations. It is shown that the time discretization of these terms can significantly influence the stability of the solution. The effect of time filtering on the numerical stability of the solution is also considered. The form of the mixing length is shown to significantly influence the bed stress in wind wave problems. A no-slip condition is applied at the sea bed, and the associated high-shear bottom boundary layer is resolved by transforming the equations onto a logarithmic or log-linear co-ordinate system before applying the finite difference scheme. A computationally economic method is developed which remains stable even when a very fine vertical grid (over 200 points) is used with a time step of up to 30 min.  相似文献

Abstract. The paper presents the solution to the properties of stochastic response of a system with random parametric noises, which is prone to the loss of aerodynamical stability. The system is described by an equation of van der Pol type with the negative linear, and with the positive cubic dampings. The coefficients of the linear damping and of the stiffness include the multiplicative random perturbations, the external excitation being given as a sum of a deterministic function and of an additive perturbation. All three input random processes are supposed to be Gaussian and centered, with the non-zero mutual stochastic parameters, as it corresponds to the properties of real systems. The solution has been based on the method of stochastic linearisation and of the subsequent solution of the Fokker–Planck–Kolmogorov equation in the sense of the first and second stochastic moments for the transient and stationary states. There have been demonstrated several effects, which are typical for systems with parametric noises, differentiating them from the systems with constant coefficients. The principal attention has been devoted to the properties of the spectral density of the response, the character of which changes abruptly with the degree of non-linearity of the damping and of the level of random perturbations.Sommario. La presente memoria studia le proprietà della risposta stocastica di un sistema con eccitazione casuale parametrica, che tende alla perdita della stabilità aerodinamica. Il sistema è descritto mediante un'equazione del tipo di van der Pole con il termine lineare dello smorzamento negativo e il termine cubico positivo. Poichá l'eccitazione esterna è la somma di una funzione deterministica e di una perturbazione additiva, i coefficienti dello smorzamento lineare e della rigidezza comprendono le perturbazioni casuali moltiplicative. I tre processi stocastici di eccitazione sono assunti gaussiani e a media nulla con parametri stocastici incrociati diversi da zero, come si verifica per le proprietà dei sistemi reali. La soluzione è basata sul metodo della linearizzazione stocastica e della successiva soluzione dell'equazione di Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov studiando i primi e i secondi momenti statistici per gli stati transitori e stazionari. Vengono mostrati diversi effetti, tipici dei sistemi con eccitazione parametrica, differenziandoli dai sistemi a coefficienti costanti. Particolare attenzione è rivolta alle proprietà della densità spettrale della risposta le cui caratteristiche cambiano bruscamente con il grado di non linearità dello smorzamento e del livello di casualità delle perturbazioni.  相似文献

Model equations for the shape of the Eiffel Tower are investigated. One model purported to be based on Eiffel's writing does not give a tower with the correct curvature. A second popular model not connected with Eiffel's writings provides a fair approximation to the tower's skyline profile of 29 contiguous panels. Reported here is a third model derived from Eiffel's concern about wind loads on the tower, as documented in his communication to the French Civil Engineering Society on 30 March 1885. The result is a nonlinear, integro-differential equation which is solved to yield an exponential tower profile. It is further verified that, as Eiffel wrote, “in reality the curve exterior of the tower reproduces, at a determined scale, the same curve of the moments produced by the wind”. An analysis of the actual tower profile shows that it is composed of two piecewise continuous exponentials with different growth rates. This is explained by specific safety factors for wind loading that Eiffel & Company incorporated in the design of the free-standing tower. To cite this article: P. Weidman, I. Pinelis, C. R. Abstract. Active control of oscillations of a suspended cable under transversal wind, described by a constant term and a fluctuating turbulent component, is dealt with. Control of transversal in-plane and out-of-plane oscillations is performed by imposing a longitudinal motion to one support; the control law depends, linearly or quadratically, on measures of displacement and velocity of a selected point. First, the steady-state oscillations around the planar static configuration, determined by the wind constant component, under sinusoidal in-plane and out-of-plane loading are studied, showing the nonlinear behaviour in the regions of primary and parametric resonance and the effects of the control action. Afterwards, attention is focused on the response of the cable to transversal wind turbulence, whose fluctuating component is described by a random process with an assigned spectral density. The effectiveness of longitudinal control is analysed by means of numerical investigations.Sommario. Si analizza il controllo attivo delle oscillazioni di un cavo sospeso, sottoposto all'azione di un vento agente in direzione ortogonale al piano del cavo e descritto mediante un termine di carico costante ed una componente variabile di turbolenza. Il controllo delle oscillazioni piane e spaziali viene realizzato mediante spostamento longitudinale di uno degli appoggi; la legge di controllo dipende linearmente o quadraticamente da misure di spostamento e velocità di un punto prescelto. In una prima fase, vengono studiate le oscillazioni stazionarie sotto carichi sinusoidali agenti rispettivamente nel piano e fuori del piano del cavo, intorno alla configurazione di equilibrio statico determinata dalla presenza della componente costante del vento, mostrando il comportamento nonlineare nelle regioni di risonanza primaria e parametrica e gli effetti dell'azione di controllo. Successivamente, si focalizza l'attenzione sulla risposta del cavo alla componente trasversale di turbolenza del vento, la quale è descritta da un processo stocastico a media nulla con densità spettrale assegnata. L'efficacia del controllo viene analizzata attraverso un'indagine numerica.  相似文献

The present paper investigates the fluid–structure interaction (FSI) of a wing with two degrees of freedom (DOF), i.e., pitch and heave, in the transitional Reynolds number regime. This 2-DOF setup marks a classic configuration in aeroelasticity to demonstrate flutter stability of wings. In the past, mainly analytic approaches have been developed to investigate this challenging problem under simplifying assumptions such as potential flow. Although the classical theory offers satisfying results for certain cases, modern numerical simulations based on fully coupled approaches, which are more generally applicable and powerful, are still rarely found. Thus, the aim of this paper is to provide appropriate experimental reference data for well-defined configurations under clear operating conditions. In a follow-up contribution these will be used to demonstrate the capability of modern simulation techniques to capture instantaneous physical phenomena such as flutter. The measurements in a wind tunnel are carried out based on digital-image correlation (DIC). The investigated setup consists of a straight wing using a symmetric NACA 0012 airfoil. For the experiments the model is mounted into a frame by means of bending and torsional springs imitating the elastic behavior of the wing. Three different configurations of the wing possessing a fixed elastic axis are considered. For this purpose, the center of gravity is shifted along the chord line of the airfoil influencing the flutter stability of the setup. Still air free-oscillation tests are used to determine characteristic properties of the unloaded system (e.g. mass moment of inertia and damping ratios) for one (pitch or heave) and two degrees (pitch and heave) of freedom. The investigations on the coupled 2-DOF system in the wind tunnel are performed in an overall chord Reynolds number range of 9.66×103Re8.77×104. The effect of the fluid-load induced damping is studied for the three configurations. Furthermore, the cases of limit-cycle oscillation (LCO) as well as diverging flutter motion of the wing are characterized in detail. In addition to the DIC measurements, hot-film measurements of the wake flow for the rigid and the oscillating airfoil are presented in order to distinguish effects originating from the flow and the structure.  相似文献

In quantitative on-line/in-line monitoring of chemical and bio-chemical processes using spectroscopic instruments, multivariate calibration models are indispensable for the extraction of chemical information from complex spectroscopic measurements. The development of reliable multivariate calibration models is generally time-consuming and costly. Therefore, once a reliable multivariate calibration model is established, it is expected to be used for an extended period. However, any change in the instrumental response or variations in the measurement conditions can render a multivariate calibration model invalid. In this contribution, a new method, spectral space transformation (SST), has been developed to maintain the predictive abilities of multivariate calibration models when the spectrometer or measurement conditions are altered. SST tries to eliminate the spectral differences induced by the changes in instruments or measurement conditions through the transformation between two spectral spaces spanned by the corresponding spectra of a subset of standardization samples measured on two instruments or under two sets of experimental conditions. The performance of the method has been tested on two data sets comprising NIR and MIR spectra. The experimental results show that SST can achieve satisfactory analyte predictions from spectroscopic measurements subject to spectrometer/probe alteration, when only a few standardization samples are used. Compared with the existing popular methods designed for the same purpose, i.e. global PLS, univariate slope and bias correction (SBC) and piecewise direct standardization (PDS), SST has the advantages of implementation simplicity, wider applicability and better performance in terms of predictive accuracy.  相似文献
