We consider a ship subject to kinematic, dynamic, and moment equations and steered via rudder under the assumptions that the rudder angle and rudder angle time rate are subject to upper and lower bounds. We formulate and solve four Chebyshev problems of optimal control, the optimization criterion being the maximization with respect to the state and control history of the minimum value with respect to time of the distance between two identical ships, one maneuvering and one moving in a predetermined way.Problems P1 and P2 deal with collision avoidance maneuvers without cooperation, while Problems P3 and P4 deal with collision avoidance maneuvers with cooperation. In Problems P1 and P3, the maneuvering ship must reach the final point with a given lateral distance, zero yaw angle, and zero yaw angle time rate. In Problems P2 and P4, the additional requirement of quasi-steady state is imposed at the final point.The above Chebyshev problems, transformed into Bolza problems via suitable transformations, are solved via the sequential gradient-restoration algorithm in conjunction with a new singularity avoiding transformation which accounts automatically for the bounds on rudder angle and rudder angle time rate.The optimal control histories involve multiple subarcs along which either the rudder angle is kept at one of the extreme positions or the rudder angle time rate is held at one of the extreme values. In problems where quasi-steady state is imposed at the final point, there is a higher number of subarcs than in problems where quasi-steady state is not imposed; the higher number of subarcs is due to the additional requirement that the lateral velocity and rudder angle vanish at the final point. 相似文献

Particle Deposition in Porous Media: Analysis of Hydrodynamic and Weak Inertial Effects 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We have studied the transport and capture of non-Brownian particles in porous media, when the particles are mainly submitted to hydrodynamic and weak inertial effects. Visualization experiments have been performed using several models of porous media which consist of transparent etched networks of interconnected channels. Typical particle deposits have been observed at the corners of the grains of the porous medium. Their shape and their orientation were dependent on flow rate and on the anisotropy of the flow field. A trajectory analysis model has been applied to a porous medium made of a doubly periodic array of rectangular grains very close to the experimental model. This numerical model has been used to localize particle deposits and to determine particle capture efficiency on the grains over a range of low Stokes numbers, grain aspect ratios and flow-field anisotropy ratios. The results have been interpreted in terms of shape of particle deposits and compared successfully to experimental observations. 相似文献

A two-fluid model suitable for the calculation of the two-phase flow field around a naval surface ship is presented. This model couples the Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) equations with equations for the evolution of the gas-phase momentum, volume fraction and bubble number density, thereby allowing the multidimensional calculation of the two-phase flow for monodisperse variable size bubbles. The bubble field modifies the liquid solution through changes in the liquid mass and momentum conservation equations. The model is applied to the case of the scavenging of wind-induced sea-background bubbles by an unpropelled US Navy frigate under non-zero Froude number boundary conditions at the free surface. This is an important test case, because it can be simulated experimentally with a model-scale ship in a towing tank. A significant modification of the background bubble field is predicted in the wake of the ship, where bubble depletion occurs along with a reduction in the bubble size due to dissolution. This effect is due to lateral phase distribution phenomena and the generation of an upwelling plume in the near wake that brings smaller bubbles up to the surface. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

The field of spin hydrodynamics aims to describe magnetization dynamics from a fluid perspective. For ferromagnetic materials, there is an exact mapping between the Landau-Lifshitz equation and a set of dispersive hydrodynamic equations. This analogy provides ample opportunities to explore novel magnetization dynamics and magnetization states that can lead to potential applications that rely entirely on magnetic materials, for example, long-distance transport of information. This article provides an overview of the theoretical foundations of spin hydrodynamics and their physical interpretation in the context of spin transport. 考虑气动力和水动力的耦合研究浮式垂直轴风机系统的运动响应,将固定式垂直轴风机的气动载荷计算方法进一步推广到海上浮式垂直轴风机的气动载荷计算.考虑阻尼力、波浪力、风载荷、系泊力等,建立了浮式垂直轴风机系统的纵荡-垂荡-纵摇运动方程.考虑动态失速和浮式基础运动,基于双致动盘多流管理论,推导了风机叶片气动载荷计算公式,编制了数值计算程序.以Sandia 17 m风机为例,验证了气动载荷计算程序的正确性.最后进行了模型实验,其中模型的风机为Φ型达里厄垂直轴风机,支撑基础为桁架式Spar型浮式基础,将模型实验结果与数值计算结果进行了对比,验证了耦合计算程序.结果表明,数值计算得到的风机系统的垂荡、纵摇运动的RAO(幅值响应算子)曲线与模型实验结果吻合较好,验证了耦合程序的正确性.然而,由于数值计算与模型实验在运动自由度、阻尼、风载荷等方面存在差别,数值计算结果与模型实验结果仍有一定的差异. 相似文献

The paper is concerned with the state estimation problem for a class of time-delayed complex networks with event-triggering communication protocol. A novel event generator function, which is dependent not only on the measurement output but also on a predefined positive constant, is proposed with hope to reduce the communication burden. A new concept of exponentially ultimate boundedness is provided to quantify the estimation performance. By means of the comparison principle, some sufficient conditions are obtained to guarantee that the estimation error is exponentially ultimately bounded, and then the estimator gains are obtained in terms of the solution of certain matrix inequalities. Furthermore, a rigorous proof is proposed to show that the designed triggering condition is free of the Zeno behavior.
