The relationship between the four components, (1) fluorescence intensity, (2) arsenic concentration, (3) pH and (4) total dissolved solids, (TDS) measured in well waters from areas in Taiwan where blackfoot disease (BFD) is endemic was studied, as well as the relationships between the four degrees of BFD and each of the above four symptomatic components, in order to evaluate the etiological factors of BFD more progressively. The following 95% confidence intervals were obtained in well water samples (n = 1189): fluorescence intensity, 26.837–32.570; arsenic concentration, 0.103–0.127 mg dm?3; pH, 7.466–7.519; and TDS 733.063–801.647 mg dm?3. Fluorescence intensities of the four degrees of BFD were not all the same (F = 64.54, P < 0.001), and nor were arsenic concentrations (F = 72.03, P < 0.001), pH values (F = 7.30, P < 0.001), nor TDS values (F = 10.76, P < 0.001). In addition, multiple comparisons indicate that the higher the epidemical degree, the higher the fluorescence intensities, arsenic concentrations and pH values become; however, such a relationship is not found for TDS values. Moreover, the fluorescence intensities have positive linear correlations with arsenic concentrations (r = 0.49, P < 0.001), pH (r = 0.25, P < 0.001), and TDS (r = 0.18, P < 0.001), as do the arsenic concentrations with pH (r = 0.22, P < 0.001). Of the four epidemical degree groups, pairs are not significantly different from one another in correlation coefficients between fluorescence intensity and arsenic concentration, which implies a steady relationship between fluorescent compounds and arsenic. We conclude that fluorescent compounds in well water, as possible etiological factors of BFD, are closely related to arsenic along with pH and TDS values in the areas where BFD is endemic. 利用电磁理论对表面传导电子发射显示器件的单个子像素在笛卡尔坐标系内建立合理的电学物理模型,对内部电场强度和电势进行了深入研究,推导出了模型不同部分的面电荷密度、电场强度和电势的表达式.为了形象地表征其电学特性,利用MATLAB 6.5对电场强度和电势的分布情况进行了模拟,从理论上对模拟曲面给出了合理的解释,分析了子像素内部电子的发射机理和电学行为,并与电子多重散射模型和惯性离心模型进行了对比,解释了SED阳极电流形成的重要原因.在误差允许的范围内,本模型有关电场强度分布的结论与惯性离心模型一致.

In this article, the comparison of large signal theory and small signal theory has been done with dispersive propagation of optical signal with IMDD (Intensity Modulation Direct Detection) systems for semiconductor lasers with higher-order dispersion terms. The expressions for an exact large signal theory and small signal theory including higher-order dispersion terms for propagation of an optical wave with sinusoidal amplitude and frequency modulation in a dispersive fiber have been derived. It is observed that small signal theory is more sensitive compared to large signal theory in terms of intensity modulation/direct detection systems. Also, it is reported that for large signal analysis the higher-order effects of dispersion can be ignored, whereas for small signal theory, the higher-order effects can be ignored for lower modulation frequencies only. The variation in the transfer function for various values of modulation indices are greater for small signal analysis than for large signal analysis. Also, as the intensity modulation index is increased, there is a decrease in the value of transfer function. The large signal model approximates the small signal model for lower values of the intensity modulation index. 相似文献

Automatic detection and identification of shocks in Gaussian state‐space models: a Bayesian approach
An automatic monitoring and intervention algorithm that permits the supervision of very general aspects in an univariate linear Gaussian state–space model is proposed. The algorithm makes use of a model comparison and selection approach within a Bayesian framework. In addition, this algorithm incorporates the possibility of eliminating earlier interventions when subsequent evidence against them comes to light. Summary Thermopiezoelastic materials have recently attracted considerable attention because of their potential use in intelligent
or smart structural systems. The governing equations of a thermopiezoelastic medium are more complex due to the intrinsic
coupling effects that take place among mechanical, electrical and thermal fields. In this analysis, we deal with the problem
of a crack in a semi-infinite, transversely isotropic, thermopiezoelastic material by means of potential functions and Fourier
transforms under steady heat-flux loading conditions. The problem is reduced to a singular integral equation that is solved.
The thermal stress intensity factor for a crack situated in a cadmium selenide material is calculated.
