The application of the hidden Markov models (HMMs) is attempted for revealing key features for the earthquake generation which are not accessible to direct observation. Considering that the states of the HMM correspond to levels of the stress field, our objective is to identify these states. The observations are considered after grouping earthquake magnitudes and the cases of different number of states are examined. The problems of HMMs theory are solved and the ensuing HMMs are compared on the basis of Akaike and Bayesian information criteria. A new insight on the evaluation of future seismic hazard is given by calculating the mean number of steps for the first visit to a particular state, along with the respective variance. We further calculate an estimator of the mean number of steps for the first visit to a particular state and we construct its confidence interval. Additionally, a second approach to the problem is followed by assuming a different determination of observations. The HMMs applied to both approaches, contribute significantly to seismic hazard assessment via revealing the number of the stress levels as well as the way in which these levels are associated with certain earthquake occurrence.  相似文献

In geomagnetic field, a series of tensile experiments on the low-carbon steel sticks were carried out. A special homemade detector was used to measure the magnetic gradient on the material surface. The results showed that the relationship between the magnetic gradient and the stress varied with different conditions of measurement. There was no obvious correlation between the magnetic gradient and the tensile stress if the sample remained on the material test machine. If the sample was taken off from the machine, the measured magnetic gradient was linear with the prior maximum stress. In Nanjing, PR China, a place of 32°N latitude, the slope of the linear relationship was about 67 (uT/m)/MPa. This offered a new method of non-destructive stress testing by measuring the magnetic gradient on the ferromagnetic component surface. The prior maximum applied stress of the sample could be tested by measuring the present surface magnetic gradient. Actually this phenomenon was the metal magnetic memory (MMM). The magnetic gradient near the stress concentration zone of the sample, the necking point, was much larger than other area. Thus, the hidden damage in the ferromagnetic component could be detected early by measuring the magnetic gradient distribution on its surface. In addition, the magnetic memory signal gradually weakened as the sample was taken off and laid aside. Therefore, it was effective for a given period of time to detect the stress or stress concentration based on the MMM testing.  相似文献

The Through-SiliconVias (TSV) is a key component of three dimensional electronic packaging. Obtaining its stresses is very important for evaluating its reliability. A micro-infrared photoelasticity system with a thermal loading function was built and applied to characterize the stresses of the TSV structure. Through testing it was found that the stress of each TSV is different even if their fabrication technology is exactly the same, that different TSVs obtain their stress free states at different elevated temperatures, and that their stress free states are maintained even when the temperature is further elevated. A finite element model was used to quantitatively determine the stresses of a TSV under different stress-free temperatures. Different virtual photoelasticity fringe patterns were then created based on the principle of photoelasticity and the simulated stresses. Comparing the virtual fringe patterns with the experimental pattern, an appropriate virtual photoelasticity fringe pattern and the corresponding stresses of TSV were determined  相似文献

利用机械拉伸、示差扫描量热(DSC)以及溶剂溶胀等方法研究了物理老化后的无规聚苯乙烯(α-PS)的应力屈服行为,并从凝聚缠结的观点对实验结果进行了解释.实验结果表明,经物理老化后的α-PS在拉伸过程中出现应力屈服峰实质上是逐步打开凝聚缠结的过程.凝聚缠结是聚合物非晶相在物理老化过程中相邻的两三条链的局部链段由于范德华吸引力的作用形成的一种有序结构,其作用能很弱,升温至Tg附近,机械拉伸至屈服点以及溶胀剂都可将其完全破坏.  相似文献

Axial momentum carried by waves in a uniform waveguide is considered based on the conservation laws and a kind of the causality principle. Specifically, we examine (without resorting to constitutive data) steady-state waves of an arbitrary shape, periodic waves which speed differs from the speed of its form and binary waves carrying self-equilibrated momentum. The approach allows us to represent momentum as a product of the wave mass and the wave speed. The propagating wave mass, positive or negative, is the excess of that in the wave over its initial value. This general representation is valid for mechanical waves of arbitrary nature and intensity. The finite-amplitude longitudinal and periodic transverse waves are examined in more detail. It is shown in particular, that the transverse excitation of a string or an elastic beam results in the binary wave. The closed-form expressions for the drift in these waves functionally reduce to the Stokes’ drift in surface water waves (a half the latter by the value). Besides, based on the general representation an energy–momentum relation is discussed and the physical meaning of the so-called “wave momentum” is clarified.  相似文献

The output voltage is an important parameter to determine the stress state in magnetic stress measurement, the relationship between the output voltage and the difference in the principal stresses was investigated by a comprehensive application of magnetic circuit theory, magnetization theory, stress analysis as well as the law of electromagnetic induction, and a corresponding quantitative equation was derived. It is drawn that the output voltage is proportional to the difference in the principal stresses, and related to the angle between the principal stress and the direction of the sensor. This investigation provides a theoretical basis for the principle stresses measurement by output voltage.  相似文献

 采用直流磁控溅射方法制备了纯Ti膜,研究了不同功率下Ti膜的沉积速率、表面形貌及晶型结构,并对其应力进行了研究。研究表明:薄膜的沉积速率随溅射功率的增加而增加,当溅射功率为20 W时,原子力显微镜(AFM)图像显示Ti膜光洁、致密,均方根粗糙度最小可达0.9 nm。X射线衍射(XRD)分析表明薄膜的晶体结构为六方晶型,Ti膜应力先随溅射功率增大而增大,在60 W时达到最大值(为945.1 MPa),之后随溅射功率的增大有所减小。  相似文献

Detection of myocardial viability by low-dose dobutamine Cine MR imaging   总被引:15,自引:0,他引:15  
The purpose of this work was to test the diagnostic value of dobutamine stress magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for predicting recovery of regional myocardial contractility after revascularization. Cardiac wall motion abnormalities are due to either non-viable and/or scarred, or viable, but hibernating, myocardial tissue. Dobutamine stress leads to increased systolic wall thickening only in viable myocardium. Twenty-five patients with akinetic or dyskinetic myocardial regions were examined with a Cine FLASH-2D sequence at rest and during dobutamine stress (10 μg/kg/min). Patients were re-examined at rest 3, and in case of persisting wall motion defects, 6 months after revascularization. Criterion of viability was increasing end-systolic wall thickening during stress and/or at follow-up. Akinetic regions related either to the LAD (n = 19) or to the RCA (n = 6) were judged viable if >=50% of the affected segments improved. MR studies were completed in all subjects without arrhythmia or need for early terminations due to symptoms. Sensitivity, specificity, and positive predictive value for the prediction of myocardial viability were 61%, 90%, and 87% for the segment-related analysis, and 76%, 100%, and 100% for the patient-related analysis based on coronary artery distribution, respectively. Dobutamine stress MRI allows to predict global functional recovery of akinetic myocardial regions after revascularization with a high positive predictive value and high specificity.  相似文献
