The ferroin-catalyzed Belousov-Zhabotinsky(BZ) reaction,the oxidation of malonic acid by acidic bromate,is the most commonly investigated chemical system for understanding spatial pattern forma-tion. Various oscillatory behaviors were found from such as mixed-mode and simple period-doubling oscillations and chaos on both Pt electrode and Br-ISE at high flow rates to mixed-mode oscillations on Br-ISE only at low flow rates. The complex dynamic behaviors were qualitatively reproduced with a two-cycle coupling model proposed initially by Gy?rgyi and Field. This investigation offered a proper medium for studying pattern formation under complex temporal dynamics. In addition,it also shows that complex oscillations and chaos in the BZ reaction can be extended to other bromate-driven nonlinear reaction systems with different metal catalysts.  相似文献

The ultrasonic degradation of novel propylene based plastomer (DP) melts with different melt viscosities was conducted in a “static” ultrasonic device where the samples were taken from various distances from the tip of an ultrasonic probe. The effects of ultrasonic time, oscillation temperature, ultrasonic intensity and the distance from the ultrasonic probe tip on the degradation behavior of DP melts as well as the ultrasonic degradation effect on the linear rheological behavior of DP melts were studied. The results show that the increase of initial melt viscosity of DP (higher molecular weight) has greater impact on the ultrasonic degradation of DP melt. The molecular weight and intrinsic viscosity of DP decrease with the increase of ultrasonic oscillation time and they approach to a limiting value. The molecular weight distribution of DP increases after ultrasonic degradation. Decreasing oscillation temperature and distance from probe tip and increasing ultrasonic intensity lead to an increase in the degradation of DP melt. The linear rheological behavior measurements of the samples obtained near the ultrasonic probe tip show that ultrasonic oscillations decrease the complex viscosity, zero shear viscosity, viscoelastic moduli, cross modulus, relaxation time and the slope of log G′ − log G″ for DP melts.  相似文献

Electrical resistance measurements at low temperatures and high quasihydrostatic pressures on superconducting and non-superconducting varieties of Y0.8Ba1.2Cu2O5 (obtained by annealing in oxygen and air respectively) show striking anomalies in the vicinity of 100K and 40K. Arguments are presented to show that these anomalies as also the occurrence of T 's in the oxide superconductors either in the vicinity of 100K or of 40K are connected with their layered structure containing planes of Cu-O otahedral complexes.  相似文献

We give a geometric analysis of relaxation oscillations and canard cycles in a singularly perturbed predator–prey system of Holling and Leslie types. We discuss how the canard cycles are found near the Hopf bifurcation points. The transition from small Hopf-type cycles to large relaxation cycles is also discussed. Moreover, we outline one possibility for the global dynamics. Numerical simulations are also carried out to verify the theoretical results.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with Hopf bifurcations in systems of autonomous ordinary differential equations with a parameter. The principal distinction between usual theorems on Hopf bifurcations and our results is that here the linearized equation is degenerate and independent of the parameter. We present sufficient conditions for a parameter value to be a bifurcation point and analyze properties of small cycles arising in the vicinity of the equilibrium. Sublinear nonlinearities play the main role in the results obtained.  相似文献

Taking into account the violation of the equivalence principle, we analyze the propagation of neutrinos in the gravitational field generated by wormholes. The analysis is performed for massive and massless neutrinos. By using the constraints on the (negative) mass of wormholes, which is of the order of stellar-substellar masses, we determine constraints on f which characterizes the degree of violation of the equivalence principle.  相似文献

Summary We have derived a modified cylindrical K-dV (MCK-dV) equation for an ion-acoustic wave in a warm plasma with two-temperature electrons, in a cylindrical geometry, near the critical density where the nonlinearity of the usual CK-dV vanishes. The solitary-wave solution of MCK-dV is then discussed analytically using the concept of adiabatic invariants and the basic theorem due to Lax, instead of any numerical evaluation. This modulated form of the solitary wave is then discussed graphically as regards its variation with respect to the change in concentration of law- and high-temperature electrons.  相似文献

We report on a microwave oscillator based on Bloch oscillations of electrons in a semiconductor superlattice. Our GaAs/AlAs superlattice, at room temperature, was coupled electromagnetically by an antenna to a rectangular cavity resonator, and was operated at a current-voltage state of negative differential conductance. We observed generation of microwave radiation at frequencies, depending on the resonator length, between 7 and 30 GHz. Electronic tuning by several percent was possible; the ratio of linewidth to frequency was of the order of 10?4. A radiation power up to 1 μW (at 10 GHz) was obtained, corresponding to a generator efficiency of the order of 10?3 for the conversion of electrical power to microwave radiation.  相似文献
