A dual-band and polarization insensitive tunable graphene absorber for THz frequency has been proposed and investigated. The absorber consists of a square graphene ring with a slit at the middle of each side separated from a metallic mirror by a dielectric spacer. Two distinct absorption peaks of 99.87% and 97.82% are observed at 3.92 THz and 6.96 THz, respectively. In addition, the distributions of electric field intensity are also presented for well-recognized the physical origin of such perfect absorption phenomenon. Furthermore, the influence of geometric parameters on the dual-band absorption properties is studied in detail to provide a useful guidance for practical fabrication. The perfect dual-band absorption properties can also be dynamically tuned through the change of the Fermi energy along with large angle insensitivity, both are interesting for real application. The proposed tunable graphene absorber should found potential applications in areas including sensors, modulators, and detectors.  相似文献

We propose a strategy to design locally conservative finite-difference approximations of convective derivatives for shock-free compressible flows with arbitrary order of accuracy, that generalizes the approach of Ducros et al. (2000) [1], and that can be applied as a building block of low-dissipative, hybrid shock-capturing methods. The approximations stem from application of standard central difference formulas to split forms of the convective terms in the compressible Euler equations, which guarantee strong numerical stability and (near) energy preservation in the inviscid limit. A convenient implementation of the high-order fluxes is suggested, which guarantees improved computational efficiency over existing methods. Numerical tests performed for isotropic turbulence at zero viscosity show stability of schemes with order of accuracy up to ten, and effectiveness of convective splitting of Kennedy and Gruber (2008) [2] in providing extra stability in the presence of strong density variations. Numerical simulations of compressible turbulent boundary layer flow indicate suitability of the method for non-uniform grids, and overall support superior computational efficiency of high-order schemes.  相似文献

The boxicity of a graph G, denoted as , is the minimum integer k such that G can be represented as the intersection graph of a collection of k-dimensional boxes. A unit cube in k-dimensional space or a k-cube is defined as the Cartesian product R1×R2×?×Rk where each Ri is a closed interval on the real line of the form [ai,ai+1]. The cubicity of G, denoted as , is the minimum integer k such that G can be represented as the intersection graph of a collection of k-cubes. The threshold dimension of a graph G(V,E) is the smallest integer k such that E can be covered by k threshold spanning subgraphs of G. In this paper we will show that there exists no polynomial-time algorithm for approximating the threshold dimension of a graph on n vertices with a factor of O(n0.5−?) for any ?>0 unless NP=ZPP. From this result we will show that there exists no polynomial-time algorithm for approximating the boxicity and the cubicity of a graph on n vertices with factor O(n0.5−?) for any ?>0 unless NP=ZPP. In fact all these hardness results hold even for a highly structured class of graphs, namely the split graphs. We will also show that it is NP-complete to determine whether a given split graph has boxicity at most 3.  相似文献

This paper discusses an attempt at identifying a property of circuits in (nonplanar) graphs resembling the separation property of circuits in planar graphs derived from the Jordan Curve Theorem.If G is a graph and C is a circuit in G, we say that two circuits in G form a split of C if the symmetric difference of their edges sets is equal to the edge set of C, and if they are separated in G by the intersection of their vertex sets.García Moreno and Jensen, A note on semiextensions of stable circuits, Discrete Math. 309 (2009) 4952-4954, asked whether such a split exists for any circuit C whenever G is 3-connected. We observe that if true, this implies a strong form of a version of the Cycle Double-Cover Conjecture suggested in the Ph.D. thesis of Luis Goddyn. The main result of the paper shows that the property holds for Hamilton circuits in cubic graphs.  相似文献

The intrinsic transfer matrix method for 1D longitudinal elastic wave propagation through multilayer media is used to obtain an equivalent split quaternion formalism. Periodic media are analysed in this framework and the presence of a defect is considered. A simple one layer defect and an inversion defect are analysed. A commutative type of split quaternion is identified, which corresponds to defects of the periodic structure that can be placed in any position, the overall acoustic properties of the medium being conserved. Also, a nonperiodic medium composed of such commutative elements has a behaviour independent of the order of elements. Several possible applications in sound wave measurement and processing are outlined. The proposed split quaternion formalism is compact and can make analytical and numerical computations easier.  相似文献

Measurements of engineered subwavelength microstructures can be designed to have positive or negative and μ at desired frequencies. We present transmission measurements of a metamaterial consisting of split ring resonators (SRR). Results for different polarizations and propagation directions are presented. The transmission shows a dip even for propagations perpendicular to the SRR plane, provided that the incident electric field is parallel to the sides of the split ring resonators (SRRs) which contain the cuts. The experimental results agree well with the theoretical calculations.  相似文献

A retraction f of a graph G is an edge-preserving mapping of G with f(v)=v for all vV(H), where H is the subgraph induced by the range of f. A graph G is called End-orthodox (End-regular) if its endomorphism monoid End X is orthodox (regular) in the semigroup sense. It is known that a graph is End-orthodox if it is End-regular and the composition of any two retractions is also a retraction.
