This paper describes a new algorithm for nonlinear programming with inequality constraints. The proposed approach solves a sequence of quadratic programming subproblems via the line search technique and uses a new globalization strategy. An increased flexibility in the step acceptance procedure is designed to promote long productive steps for fast convergence. Global convergence is proved under some reasonable assumptions and preliminary numerical results are presented.  相似文献

In this article, non-linear minimax problems with general constraints are discussed. By means of solving one quadratic programming an improved direction is yielded and a second-order correction direction can also be at hand via one system of linear equations. So a new algorithm for solving the discussed problems is presented. In connection with a special merit function, the generalized monotone line search is used to yield the step size at each iteration. Under mild conditions, we can ensure global and superlinear convergence. Finally, some numerical experiments are operated to test our algorithm, and the results demonstrate that it is promising.  相似文献

We describe an enhanced version of the primal-dual interior point algorithm in Lasdon, Plummer, and Yu (ORSA Journal on Computing, vol. 7, no. 3, pp. 321–332, 1995), designed to improve convergence with minimal loss of efficiency, and designed to solve large sparse nonlinear problems which may not be convex. New features include (a) a backtracking linesearch using an L1 exact penalty function, (b) ensuring that search directions are downhill for this function by increasing Lagrangian Hessian diagonal elements when necessary, (c) a quasi-Newton option, where the Lagrangian Hessian is replaced by a positive definite approximation (d) inexact solution of each barrier subproblem, in order to approach the central trajectory as the barrier parameter approaches zero, and (e) solution of the symmetric indefinite linear Newton equations using a multifrontal sparse Gaussian elimination procedure, as implemented in the MA47 subroutine from the Harwell Library (Rutherford Appleton Laboratory Report RAL-95-001, Oxfordshire, UK, Jan. 1995). Second derivatives of all problem functions are required when the true Hessian option is used. A Fortran implementation is briefly described. Computational results are presented for 34 smaller models coded in Fortran, where first and second derivatives are approximated by differencing, and for 89 larger GAMS models, where analytic first derivatives are available and finite differencing is used for second partials. The GAMS results are, to our knowledge, the first to show the performance of this promising class of algorithms on large sparse NLP's. For both small and large problems, both true Hessian and quasi- Newton options are quite reliable and converge rapidly. Using the true Hessian, INTOPT is as reliable as MINOS on the GAMS models, although not as reliable as CONOPT. Computation times are considerably longer than for the other 2 solvers. However, interior point methods should be considerably faster than they are here when analytic second derivatives are available, and algorithmic improvements and problem preprocessing should further narrow the gap.  相似文献

针对自由终端时间最优控制问题,提出了一种基于非均匀控制向量参数化的数值解法.将控制时域离散化为不同长度的时间段,各时间段长度作为新的控制变量.通过引入标准化的时间变量,原问题转化为均匀参数化的固定终端时间最优控制问题.建立目标和约束函数的Hamilton函数,通过求解伴随方程获得目标和约束函数的梯度,采用序列二次规划(SQP)获得数值解.针对两个经典的化工过程自由终端时间最优控制问题进行仿真研究,验证了所提出算法的可行性和有效性.  相似文献

We propose a modified sequential quadratic programming method for solving mixed-integer nonlinear programming problems. Under the assumption that integer variables have a smooth influence on the model functions, i.e., that function values do not change drastically when in- or decrementing an integer value, successive quadratic approximations are applied. The algorithm is stabilized by a trust region method with Yuan’s second order corrections. It is not assumed that the mixed-integer program is relaxable or, in other words, function values are evaluated only at integer points. The Hessian of the Lagrangian function is approximated by a quasi-Newton update formula subject to the continuous and integer variables. Numerical results are presented for a set of 80 mixed-integer test problems taken from the literature. The surprising result is that the number of function evaluations, the most important performance criterion in practice, is less than the number of function calls needed for solving the corresponding relaxed problem without integer variables.  相似文献
