We consider the time delay of massive, non-relativistic, one-dimensional particles due to a tunneling potential. In this setting
the well-known Hartman effect asserts that often the sub-ensemble of particles going through the tunnel seems to cross the
tunnel region instantaneously. An obstacle to the utilization of this effect for getting faster signals is the exponential
damping by the tunnel, so there seems to be a trade-off between speedup and intensity. In this paper we prove that this trade-off
is never in favor of faster signals: the probability for a signal to reach its destination before some deadline is always
reduced by the tunnel, for arbitrary incoming states, arbitrary positive and compactly supported tunnel potentials, and arbitrary
detectors. More specifically, we show this for several different ways to define “the same incoming state” and “the same detector”
when comparing the settings with and without tunnel potential. The arrival time measurements are expressed in the time-covariant
approach, but we also allow the detection to be a localization measurement at a later time.

In this paper,a nonlinear nonautonomous predator-prey dispersion model with continuous distributed delay is studied,where all parameters are time-dependent.In this system consisting of n-patches the prey species can disperse among n-patches,but the predator species is confined to one patch and cannot disperse.It is proved that the system is uniformly persistent under any dispersion rate effect.Furthermore,some sufficient conditions are established for the existence of a unique almost periodic solution of the system.The example shows that the criteria in the paper are new,general and easily verifiable. 相似文献

Proper identification of proteinaceous binders in artworks is essential for specification of the painting technique and thus
also for selection of the restoration method; moreover, it might be helpful for the authentication of the artwork. This paper
is concerned with the optimisation of analysis of the proteinaceous binders contained in the colour layers of artworks. Within
this study, we worked out a method for the preparation and analysis of solid samples from artworks using tryptic cleavage
and subsequent analysis of the acquired peptide mixture by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time of flight mass
spectrometry. To make this approach rational and efficient, we created a database of commonly used binders (egg yolk, egg
white, casein, milk, curd, whey, gelatine, and various types of animal glues); certain peaks in the mass spectra of these
binders, formed by rich protein mixtures, were matched to amino acid sequences of the individual proteins that were found
in the Internet database ExPASy; their cleavage was simulated by the program Mass-2.0-alpha4. The method developed was tested
on model samples of ground layers prepared by an independent laboratory and then successfully applied to a real sample originating
