The Current Directions of Searching for Antiparasitic Drugs

Parasitic diseases are still a huge problem for mankind. They are becoming the main cause of chronic diseases in the world. Migration of the population, pollution of the natural environment, and climate changes cause the rapid spread of diseases. Additionally, a growing resistance of parasites to drugs is observed. Many research groups are looking for effective antiparasitic drugs with low side effects. In this work, we present the current trends in the search for antiparasitic drugs. We report known drugs used in other disease entities with proven antiparasitic activity and research on new chemical structures that may be potential drugs in parasitic diseases. The described investigations of antiparasitic compounds can be helpful for further drug development.     

Operating principles of the cerebral cortex as a six-layered network in primates: beyond the classic canonical circuit model

The cerebral cortex performs its computations with many six-layered fundamental units, collectively spreading along the cortical sheet. What is the local network structure and the operating dynamics of such a fundamental unit? Previous investigations of primary sensory areas revealed a classic “canonical” circuit model, leading to an expectation of similar circuit organization and dynamics throughout the cortex. This review clarifies the different circuit dynamics at play in the higher association cortex of primates that implements computation for high-level cognition such as memory and attention. Instead of feedforward processing of response selectivity through Layers 4 to 2/3 that the classic canonical circuit stipulates, memory recall in primates occurs in Layer 5/6 with local backward projection to Layer 2/3, after which the retrieved information is sent back from Layer 6 to lower-level cortical areas for further retrieval of nested associations of target attributes. In this review, a novel “dynamic multimode module (D3M)” in the primate association cortex is proposed, as a new “canonical” circuit model performing this operation.     

Theory and experiment of spatially and temporally partially coherent speckle shearing interferometry

The theory and experiment of spatially and temporally partially coherent speckle shearing interferometry is reported in this rapid communication for the first time. The general requirements for the surface roughness and coherence area of a diffuse object surface in spatially and temporally partially coherent speckle shearing interferometry are discussed. An experimental verification is presented and the results of theory and experiment are in good agreement.     

连续级联喇曼光纤激光器耦合波方程的修正

从最基本的耦合波方程出发,考虑光波正反向传输的情况下,推导出了一个全面的、准确的关于连续级联喇曼光纤激光器的理论模型,描述了各级Stokes光波功率沿光纤长度的变化.指出了相关一些文献中存在的不足,并且给出了多级斯托克斯光波相互作用的有效作用面积的表达式.此模型有助于喇曼光纤激光器的设计.     

b→ssd decay in Randall-Sundrum models

The extremely small branching ratio of the b → ssd decay in the Standard Model makes it a suitable channel to explore new-physics signals.We study this ?S = 2 process in Randall-Sundrum models,including the custodially protected and the bulk-Higgs Randall-Sundrum models.Exploring the experimentally favored parameter spaces of these models suggests a possible enhancement of the decay rate,compared to the Standard Model result,by at most two orders of magnitude.     

GaN氢化物气相外延生长系统的设计与制作

根据GaN氢化物气相外延生长(HVPE)的原理,设计制作了双温区卧式HVPE系统．根据实际生长中出现的问题和CaN样品的测试情况,对系统进行了逐步的调试和改进．     

一类新混沌系统的线性状态反馈控制

研究了一类新混沌系统的控制问题.利用Routh-Hurwitz准则对受控系统进行了稳定性分析，结合线性状态反馈方法理论上严格证明了达到控制目标反馈系数的选择原则.数值研究证明了该方法能够有效地控制混沌系统到失稳的平衡点或周期解，同时控制效果在弱噪声干扰下具有很强的鲁棒性. 关键词： 新混沌系统 线性状态反馈控制 Routh-Hurwitz准则 噪声     

基于集合卡尔曼变换的东中国海声学 敏感区判定方法*

为改善海洋与水声环境预报质量,针对常规观测成本高、资料利用率低等问题,将适应性观测方法应用于海洋声学领域。结合海洋-声学耦合模式与集合卡尔曼转换敏感区诊断方法,以东中国海宫古海峡北部区域为验证区,计算并分析不同条件下海洋环境敏感区与声学敏感区分布,通过观测系统模拟试验验证适应性观测对验证区预报的提升效果。结果表明,两种敏感区位置随时间间隔增加均向验证区上游移动,海洋环境敏感区相比于声学敏感区分布更为集中,且平移特征更明显;对海洋环境敏感区和声学敏感区添加适应性观测均能提升海洋与水声环境的预报质量,提升效果随时间间隔增加而减小,在某种类型敏感区的适应性观测对相对应参数的预报质量提升效果优于对其他类型敏感区进行观测的效果。     

Submanifolds in Cauchy Riemann Geometry

In this paper I would like to make a report on the results about hypersurfaces in the Heisenberg group and invariant curves and surfaces in CR geometry. The results are contained in the papers [8, 9, 16] and [14]. Besides, I would also report on the results about the strong maximum principle for a class of mean curvature type operators in [10].
