The CO2-broadened water coefficients (half-widths, line shifts, and temperature dependence of the widths) are predicted using a fully complex Robert-Bonamy formulation for the 937 allowed and forbidden perpendicular type transitions of (000)-(000) between 200 and 900 cm−1 in order to facilitate atmospheric remote sensing of Mars and Venus. In addition, empirical Lorentz line widths and pressure-induced frequency-shifts of CO2-broadened H216O are obtained at room temperature for 257 perpendicular transitions of the (010)-(000) fundamental. For this, calibrated spectra recorded at 0.0054 cm−1 resolution are measured assuming Voigt line shapes. For transitions between 1287 and 1988 cm−1 with rotational quanta up to J = 13 and Ka = 6, the widths vary from 0.045 to 0.212 cm−1 atm−1 at 300 K; the pressure-shifts are quite large and range from −0.0386 to +0.0436 cm−1 atm−1. For the (010)-(000) band, the RMS and mean observed and calculated differences for CO2-broadened H2O half-widths are 12% and −1.9%, respectively, while the RMS and mean ratios of the observed and calculated pressure-induced shift coefficients are 1.6 and 0.79, respectively. For pairs of transitions involving Ka = 0 and 1, such as 20 2 ← 31 3 and 31 3 ← 20 2, both the calculated and observed pressure induced shifts in positions are opposite in sign and often similar in magnitude. During the pneumatic conveying, pulverized coal with different moisture contents may develop substantial difference in flow characteristics, whose cause is not fully understood. This study focused on influence of moisture content on conveying characteristics in an experimental test facility with the conveying pressure up to 4 MPa. The experiments included soft coal and lignite with similar density and particle size. With the increase in moisture content, the mass flow rate decreased for lignite (3.24% < M < 8.18%) but increased at first and then decreased for soft coal (0.4% < M < 6.18%) at same operating parameters. The flowability of soft coal was worse than that of lignite at similar operating parameters and external moisture content. The extremal conveying moisture contents of two coal types were obtained. The particle charge and surface moisture content were investigated to indicate influence mechanism of moisture content on mass flow rate in pneumatic conveying at high pressure. Pressure drop of soft coal was greater than that of lignite for same test section. The conveying phase diagram of dense-phase pulverized coal at high pressure was obtained and the pressure drops through different test sections were compared and analyzed. The bend loss factor rose with the increase in moisture content and was independent of conveying velocity and solid-gas ratio in dense-phase pneumatic conveying at high pressure. 相似文献

Summary The application of capillary SFC for SIMDIST investigations of paraffins and waxes is reported. Pressure, density and temperature of the mobile phase are optimized to obtain high chromatographic resolution of complex mixtures of industrial products. Isothermal linear pressure programming and asymptotic pressure and density programming are used in the range from 15 to 35 MPa in the isothermic mode above 100°C. SFC chromatograms of natural and synthetic paraffins, microcrystalline wax and candle wax are compared. The retention behaviour of paraffin mixtures and waxes has been investigated on methyl/phenyl and biphenyl capillary columns. In the maritime environment slamming is a phenomenon known as short duration impact of water on a floating or sailing structure. Slamming loads are local and could induce very high local stresses. This paper reports a series of impact test results and investigate the slamming loads and pressures acting on a square based pyramid. In this study the slamming tests have been conducted at constant velocity impact with a hydraulic high speed shock machine. This specific experimental equipment avoids the deceleration of the structure observed usually during water entry with drop tests. Three velocities of the rigid pyramid have been used (10, 13 and 15 m s−1). Time-histories of local pressures, accelerations and slamming loads were successfully measured. The relationship between the pressure magnitude and the impact velocity is obtained and the spatial distribution of pressures on pyramid sides is characterized. A novel field emission pressure sensor has been achieved utilizing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as the electron source. The sensor consists of the anode sensing film fabricated by wet etching process and multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) cathode in the micro-vacuum chamber. MWNTs on the silicon substrate were grown by thermal CVD. The prototype pressure sensor has a measured sensitivity of about 0.17-0.77 nA/Pa (101-550 KPa). The work shows the potential use of CNTs-based field-emitter in microsensors, such as accelerometers and tactile sensors. 相似文献

Roughness effect on the heat transfer and pressure loss performances of microscale tubes and channels are investigated through a finite element CFD code. Surface roughness is explicitly modelled through a set of random generated peaks along the ideal smooth surface. Different peak shapes and distributions are considered; geometrical parameters are representative of tubes in the diameter range from 50 to 150 μm. The use of a fine enough mesh allows the direct computation of tube performances under the assumption of incompressible fully developed flow. As a result, a significant increase in Poiseuille number is detected for all of the configurations considered, while the effect of roughness on heat transfer rate is smaller and highly dependent on the tube shape. 相似文献
