In nonlinear elasticity the exact geometry of deformation is combined with general constitutive relations. This allows a very sophisticated interaction of deformations in different material directions. Based on the Cosserat theory for planar deformations of nonlinearly elastic rods we demonstrate some paradoxical bending effects caused by a nontrivial interaction of extension, flexure, and shear. This paper investigates axisymmetric deformations of curved annular membranes subjected to a partially vanishing vertical
surface load and to radial edge loads or displacements. The frame of the membrane model we deal with is the nonlinear small-strain
theory. The determination of the principal stresses reduces to the solution of a single nonlinear second order ODE. Analysis
becomes explicit on the unloaded membrane part while the loaded part is treated by methods which have been previously developed.
In particular, the ranges of those stress and displacement boundary data are determined which admit for wrinkle-free solutions
only, i.e. for solutions governed by a nonnegative radial and circumferential stress component. For such a tensile state,
a curved membrane flattens out on the unloaded portions.

In this paper, the concept of covering domain is introduced to develop a general expression for the Fredholm Integral Equations
Method, by which elasticity problems of arbitrarily shaped bodies loaded by external forces can be solved. Some special expressions
are given for a body with non-zero remote stresses, or subjected to some concentrated forces on its boundary. The relationship
between the loading forces and solutions are also discussed. Some analytical solutions can be obtained for simple cases. When

In this paper, 3-dimensional non-axisymmetrical deformation analyses for finite hollow circular cylinders have been carried
out by Pickett's double series expansion method[1]. Through expanding the displacement potentials as the sum of fourier series and Fourier-Bessel series, we could express the
coefficients of one series by those of another under certain boundary conditions. Thus, a set of linear algebraic equations
were derived. Solving these equations, we could obtain the solutions of the problems. Numerical examples have been given to

A new model for nematic polymers is proposed, based on the probability ψ(u,u,t) for a macromolecule to be oriented along direction u while embedded in a u environment created by its neighbours. The potential of the internal forces is written Φ(u,u) accordingly. The free energy contains a contribution ν Φ + kBT ln ψ where the brackets mean an average over the probability distribution, while ν is the (uniform) polymer number density. An equation is derived for the time-evolution of the order parameter S = uu − I/3, together with an expression for the stress tensor. These two results offer a generalization of the Doi Model in so far as they include a distortional energy, analogue to the Frank elastic energy for low molecular mass nematics. Extending the Maier–Saupe variational procedure, we specify the way that the internal potential Φ(u,u) must be written for it to favour non-zero values of the order parameter, while giving a penalty to situations with gradients of the order parameter. The result is quite different from the potential proposed a decade ago by Marrucci and Greco (their Φ depends on u only), while it has a clear connection with the so-called Landau-de Gennes (LdG) tensor models, which are based on a free-energy depending on the order parameter and its gradients. 相似文献

In this contribution, an inverse identification strategy of constitutive laws for elastoplastic behaviour is presented. The proposed inverse algorithm is composed on an appropriate finite element calculation combined with an optimisation procedure. It is applied to identify material anisotropic coefficients using a set up of easy performed laboratory tests. The used experimental data are the plane tensile test and the off axes tensile tests. The identified behaviour models are mainly based on Hill's quadratic yield criterion. Two cases of this yield criterion have been considered: the transverse isotropic and the orthotropic one under an associated and non-associated flow rule assumptions for each case. The yield surface has been assumed to expand isotropically (isotropic strain hardening law) as a function of the plastic work.In order to better describe anisotropic plastic properties of the studied materials, a recently planar anisotropic yield function is used. It is a non-quadratic yield criterion which takes account of anisotropic yield stresses as well as anisotropic strain ratios. It is subsequently shown that the agreement between inverse identification results and experimental measurements were improved.We prove also that the presented strategy is a good alternative to the simplified homogeneous tests assumption, especially for the plane tensile test. 相似文献

本文所提到的弹性半平面问题的基本解是一个满足特殊条件的弹性半平面的应力位移解答。这些条件为:(1)半平面内一点处作用有集中力X,Y或集中力偶M;(2)半平面边界为自由或固定边。利用平面弹性的复变函数方法,文中把弹性半平面基本解的问题归结为下列问题,使一个特定解析函数和另一个解析函数的共轭值在半平面边界上相等。对上述转化后的问题,只要利用复变函数的性质,不难从基本解的第一部分推导出基本解的第二部分。其中,基本解的第一部分是弹性全平面的本基解。从而,半平面问题基本解可以方便地得到。此外,文中还首次给出了:(1)集中力偶作用于半平面内一点时的基本解;(2)当半平面边界固定情况下的基本解。 相似文献
