热致型胆甾酯液晶的相变研究

使用偏光显微镜观察胆甾烯壬酸酯液晶的相变，发现在不同的温度变化条件下液晶相变过程是不同的．本文讨论了其变化规律．     

Results from GRACE/SUSY at one-loop

We report the recent development on the SUSY calculations with the help of GRACE system. GRACE/SUSY/1LOOP is the computer code which can generate Feynman diagrams in the MSSM automatically and compute one-loop amplitudes in the numerical way. We present new results of various two-body decay widths and chargino pair production at ILC (international linear collider) at one-loop level.      

Synthesis and refractive‐index control of fluoropolymers by the polyaddition of bis(epoxide)s and triazine di(aryl ether)s

The polyaddition of fluorine‐containing bis(epoxide)s and fluorine‐containing triazine di(aryl ether)s were examined to give the corresponding fluorine‐containing poly(cyanurate)s. It was observed that the synthesized fluoropolymers had good thermal stabilities and good film‐forming properties. The glass transition temperatures (T_g's) and refractive‐indices (n_D's) of synthesized polymers were determined by differential scanning calorimetry and ellipsometry, respectively, and it was found that the values of T_g's and n_D's were supported by their fluorine containing ratios and skeletons. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 同轴相移数字全息中相移角的选取及相移误差的消除

基于两步同轴相移数字全息,首先从理论上分析了记录时不同相移角的选取及相移误差对再现像的影响,并给出了一种利用再现像所有抽样点的强度偏差之和作为评价标准,通过逐步改变理论设定相移角值来寻找实际相移角的相移误差消除新方法;其次对二步相移数字全息中记录时参考光波最佳相移角的选取作了计算机模拟,发现只有将参考光波的相移角选择在一定范围内,再现像的噪声较小;最后利用计算机模拟了相移误差消除,验证了所提方法的可行性.     

Essay: Supersymmetry, the Cosmological Constant, and a Theory of Quantum Gravity in Our Universe

There are many theories of quantum gravity, depending on asymptotic boundary conditions, and the amount of supersymmetry. The cosmological constant is one of the fundamental parameters that characterizes different theories. If it is positive, supersymmetry must be broken. A heuristic calculation shows that a cosmological constant of the observed size predicts superpartners in the TeV range. This mechanism for SUSY breaking also puts important constraints on low energy particle physics models.     

The effect of micro-morphology of Bi2O3 on catalytic properties of Co/Bi catalyst for wet air oxidation of acetic acid

The novel phase transfer catalysts S-8 [4-(dimethyloctylammonium) propansultan] and DB-X [1,4-bis(triethylmethylammonium)benzene dibromide] were synthesized and employed for high conversion synthesis of dichlorocyclopropane from various olefins.This revised version was published online in December 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

The spectrum of Nd in rare earth orthoaluminates. The trigonal to orthorhombic transition study of the level

Some structural and spectroscopic features of rare earth orthoaluminates are examined.The trigonal→ orthorhombic transition is studied in a series of Nd_xSm_1−xAlO₃ compounds. The evolution of the crystal structure is followed by X-ray analysis and optical absorption. The free ion and crystal field parameters of Nd³⁺ (4f³ configuration) are determined in LuAlO₃:Nd³⁺.The anomaly of the calculated splitting of the levels is slight, but well characterized in NdAlO₃. The spin correlated crystal field and orbitally correlated crystal field models are tested as well as an empirical correction which was proposed earlier.     

过渡金属表面γ-氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷膜的研究

本文对在过渡金属铁、镍电极表面制备得到的γ-氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷(γ-APS)膜进行了研究。实验中对硅烷膜用X-射线光电子能谱(XPS)、现场表面增强拉曼散射光谱(SERS)和原子力显微镜(AFM)进行了表征。X-射线光电子能谱(XPS)的结果发现存在两个N1s峰,表明γ-APS膜中的氨基有两种存在方式:自由氨基和质子化氨基。实验中还发现现场表面增强拉曼散射光谱(SERS)是研究金属/γ-APS体系中界面层结构非常有效的手段,SERS结果表明硅醇羟基和氨基发生了竞争吸附,且γ-APS分子在外加电位等条件的影响下吸附状态会发生一定变化。原子力显微镜(AFM)的表征结果在微观上显示电极表面的γ-APS膜上形成了一种较规则的微孔结构,这种结构可能与基底的性质有关。     

Experimental investigation and theoretical modeling of liquid entrainment in a horizontal tee with a vertical-up branch

This article describes a comprehensive literature review of liquid entrainment in horizontal pipes with vertical-up branches. Deficiencies in the available data and correlations were identified. The Air–water Test Loop for Advanced Thermal–hydraulic Studies (ATLATS) was constructed and entrainment onset and steady-state data were collected for a wide range of flow conditions. Using new insights gained from experimental testing, the authors developed a model for predicting the onset of entrainment and steady-state entrainment rate. Previously published correlations, along with the new model, are compared against all available data. The new model shows very good agreement with the onset data, but is not very good at predicting branch quality at high liquid flow rates.     

Phase modulation in dipolar-coupled A2 spin systems: effect of maximum state mixing in H NMR in vivo

Coupling constants of nuclear spin systems can be determined from phase modulation of multiplet resonances. Strongly coupled systems such as citrate in prostatic tissue exhibit a more complex modulation than AX connectivities, because of substantial mixing of quantum states. An extreme limit is the coupling of n isochronous spins (A_n system). It is observable only for directly connected spins like the methylene protons of creatine and phosphocreatine which experience residual dipolar coupling in intact muscle tissue in vivo. We will demonstrate that phase modulation of this “pseudo-strong” system is quite simple compared to those of AB systems. Theory predicts that the spin-echo experiment yields conditions as in the case of weak interactions, in particular, the phase modulation depends linearly on the line splitting and the echo time.
