A simple “chimney” method was used to eliminate the voids in an arrangement of quantum dots sized 2 nm on a solid substrate, which resulted in a large well ordered superlattice of area in the order more than 1 μm2. Based on the principle of speeding up the interparticle interaction of nanoparticles to overcome the particle-substrate one, a lateral centripetal force originated from a glass tube acting as a chimney in a simple evaporation device is imposed. This method allows the packing process to be controlled in a mechanical force field, that is, with the same nanogold dispersion different patterns on a substrate—from separate dots to an ordered compact monolayer or even a multilayer structure—could be easily obtained. 相似文献

本文对在不同雷诺数下,绕圆柱体的磁流体自由表面流动及传热进行了模拟,分析了磁场对绕流圆柱尾迹和涡分离的影响,获得了两种雷诺数下的电磁力密度、流场和温度场分布。结果表明,磁场不仅影响了流动的形态,而且对湍流有抑制作用,降低了自由表面的更新机制,从而减少了传热能力;在相同的Hartmann数下,相比低雷诺数下的流动换热情况,高雷诺数下的湍流不能被完全抑制,自由表面与尾迹的相互作用也较强,因而自由表面换热也较强。 相似文献

We will consider a concave minimization problem associated with a series production system in which raw material is processed inm consecutive facilities. The products at some facility are either sent to the next facility or stocked in the warehouse. The amount of demand for the final products during periodi, i = 1,,n, are known in advance. Our problem is to minimize the sum of processing, holding and backlogging cost, all of which are assumed to be concave.The origin of this model is the classical economic lot size problem of Wagner and Whitin and was extensively studied by Zangwill. This model is very important from the theoretical as well as practical point of view and this is one of the very rare instances in which polynomial time algorithm has been constructed for concave minimization problems.The purpose of this paper is to extend the model further to the situation in which time lag is associated with processing at each facility. It is shown that pipe-flow turbulence consists of transients. The fractal dimensions of the dynamical process are thus all zero. Nevertheless, this is compatible with Grassberger-Procaccia analyses suggesting the existence of a high-dimensional strange attractor. Two new simple and rapid methods are reported for the accurate and precise spectrophotometric determination of captopril
(CPL) using flow (FI) and sequential injection (SI) analysis. The methods are based on the fast oxidation of CPL by Fe(III).
The produced Fe(II) reacts with 2,2′-dipyridyl-2-pyridylhydrazone (DPPH) in acidic medium to form a colored complex which
is monitored spectrophotometrically at 535 nm. Both methods allow the determination of the analyte up to 1000 mg L−1 at a sampling rate of 120 and 60 injections per hour for FI and SI, respectively. The methods are very precise [s
r=0.8 and 1.2% at 500 mg L−1 CPL (n=12) for FI and SI, respectively] and the 3σ detection limits (c
L=4.0 and 7.0 mg L1, respectively) are quite satisfactory. Their application to a variety of anti-hypertensive commercial pharmaceutical formulations

The aim of this paper is to determine to what extent (i) deposition of oral bacteria and polystyrene particles, (ii) onto quartz and dental enamel with and without a salivary conditioning film, (iii) in a parallel plate (PP) and stagnation point (SP) flow chamber and at common Peclet numbers are comparable. All three bacterial strains showed different adhesion behaviors, and even Streptococcus mitis BMS, possessing a similar cell surface hydrophobicity as polystyrene particles, did not mimic polystyrene particles in its adhesion behavior, possibly as a result of the more negative ζ potentials of the polystyrene particles. The stationary endpoint adhesion of all strains, including polystyrene particles, was lower in the presence of a salivary conditioning film, while also desorption probabilities under flow were higher in the presence of a conditioning film than in its absence. Deposition onto quartz and enamel surfaces was different, but without a consistent trend valid for all strains and polystyrene particles. It is concluded that differences in experimental results exist, and the process of bacterial deposition to enamel surfaces cannot be modeled by using polystyrene particles and quartz collector surfaces. 相似文献

Summary The various techniques and methodologies of thermal conductivity measurement have been conventionally based on the determination of the rate of directional heat flow through a material having a unit temperature differential between its opposing faces. The constancy of this rate depends on the material density, its thermal resistance and the heat flow path itself. The last of these variables contributes most significantly to the true value of steady-state axial and radial heat dissipation depending on the magnitude of transient thermal diffusivity along these directions. The purpose of this paper is to exemplify the above features by defined parameters of heat flow measurement by existing methodologies. No new method is proposed here. Importantly, the relationship between the rate of heat transfer, total heat transferred and thermal conductivity at a given temperature under steady-state conditions for a fixed heat flow path will be illustrated. 相似文献

The filtration performance of yeast cell harvesting was greatly improved by using an oscillatory flow mixing technique in both tubular and flat sheet membrane systems; flux increases of several fold were achieved. The effects of various operating parameters such as frequency, amplitude and ratio of net forward flow rate to oscillatory flow rate were investigated. A simple alternative to the dual head pump, which involved the use of solenoid valves for producing flow reversal, was developed. The flux was significantly increased using this new operating mode. Heat transfer from a plasma flow to a metallic or nonmetallic spherical particle is studied in this paper for the extreme case of free-molecule flow regime. Analytical expressions are derived for the heat flux due to, respectively, atoms, ions, and electrons and for the floating potential on the sphere exposed to a two-temperature plasma flow. It has been shown that the local or average heat flux density over the whole sphere is independent of the sphere radius and approximately in direct proportion to the gas pressure. The presence of a macroscopic relative velocity between the plasma and the sphere causes substantially nonuniform distributions of the local heat flux and enhances the total heat flux to the sphere. The heat flux is also enhanced by the gas ionization. Appreciable difference between metallic and nonmetallic spheres is found in the distributions along the oncoming flow direction of the floating potential and of the local heat flux densities due to ions and electrons. The total heat flux to the whole sphere is, however, almost the same for these different spheres. For a fixed value of the electron temperature, the heat flux decreases with increasing temperature ratio Te/Th. 相似文献
