众所周知,将玻耳兹曼积分应用于等离子体,由于忽略了集体效应,导致积分对数发散。另外,Balescu-Lenard碰撞理论考虑了集体效应,克服了k→0对数发散困难,但又有k→0积分发散。对于等离子体参量g=1/nλD~3《1情形,文[4]已得出克服k→0积分发散的方法。但对g≥1情形,k→0积分发散问题仍未解决。本文改进了粒子分布函数展开求得包括g<1及g≥1在内的一般情形即南k→0与k→0均收敛的碰撞积分。  相似文献

We consider a simple model of a closed economic system where the total money is conserved and the number of economic agents is fixed. Analogous to statistical systems in equilibrium, money and the average money per economic agent are equivalent to energy and temperature, respectively. We investigate the effect of the saving propensity of the agents on the stationary or equilibrium probability distribution of money. When the agents do not save, the equilibrium money distribution becomes the usual Gibb's distribution, characteristic of non-interacting agents. However with saving, even for individual self-interest, the dynamics becomes cooperative and the resulting asymmetric Gaussian-like stationary distribution acquires global ordering properties. Intriguing singularities are observed in the stationary money distribution in the market, as functions of the marginal saving propensity of the agents. Received 2 May 2000  相似文献

In this paper we consider the Greenberg-Hastings and cyclic color models. These models exhibit (at least) three different types of behavior. Depending on the number of colors and the size of two parameters called the threshold and range, the Greenberg-Hastings model either dies out, or has equilibria that consist of debris or fire fronts. The phase diagram for the cyclic color models is more complicated. The main result of this paper, Theorem 1, proves that the debris phase exists for both systems.  相似文献

Accurate treatment of the plasma density effects requires a detailed knowledge of the spatial distribution of individual ions around a test ion. In the present work, rigorous expressions are derived for the main 2- and 3-particle spatial distribution functions involving the nearest neighbor (NN) and the next-nearest neighbor (NNN) ions. These expressions, valid for both ideal and nonideal plasmas, present the distributions as functionals of the potentials U NN and U NNN at the nearest and next-nearest ion locations. All of the distribution functions except one are derived and discussed in the present work for the first time ever. For utilization of our results in practical calculations, we suggest semi-empirical expressions for U NN and U NNN in the ion-ion coupling parameter range 0 ?Γ < 1. In order to test the accuracy of our expressions for U NN and U NNN we conduct Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations. The simulations utilize the pure Coulomb particle-particle interaction potentials, regularized at close range to avoid classical Coulomb collapse, and are free from the assumptions made to find U NN and U NNN. Thus, the results of the MD simulations provide an independent test of our theoretical results. Excellent agreement has been found between the results of the theory and of the MD simulations. Finally, we outline the implications of the present findings on the problem of tunneling and charge exchange in dense plasmas. Velocity distributions within three models of the human larynx, namely, a rigid plexiglas model, an excised canine larynx, and a computational model are investigated with experimental and theoretical analyses. A plexiglas wind tunnel with interchangeable glottal constrictions was used as a two-dimensional steady-flow model to measure velocity and pressure for various glottal shapes. A canine excised larynx was used as a prototype pulsatile flow model to study pressure and velocity variations during phonation. Results of the plexiglas modelling indicated a parabolic laminar velocity profile upstream of the glottal constriction and turbulent and asymmetric velocity profiles downstream of the glottal constriction. The time-averaged velocities of the excised larynx had similarities with the plexiglas model results, and instabilities and asymmetries were also demonstrated by the computational method.  相似文献

The effects of unidirectional dispersal on single pioneer species discrete-time metapopulations where the pre-dispersal local patch dynamics are of the same (compensatory or overcompensatory) or mixed (compensatory and overcompensatory) types are studied. Single-species unidirectional metapopulation models behave as single-species single-patch models whenever all pre-dispersal local patch dynamics are compensatory and the dispersal rate is low. The pioneer species goes extinct in at least one patch when the dispersal rate is high, while it persists when the rate is low. Unidirectional dispersal can generate multiple attractors with fractal basin boundaries whenever the pre-dispersal local patch dynamics are overcompensatory, and is capable of altering the local patch dynamics in mixed systems from compensatory to overcompensatory dynamics and vice versa.  相似文献

In this paper we analyze the warm-standby M/M/R machine repair problem with multiple imperfect coverage which involving the service pressure condition. When an operating machine (or warm standby) fails, it may be immediately detected, located, and replaced with a coverage probability c by a standby if one is available. We use a recursive method to develop the steady-state analytic solutions which are used to calculate various system performance measures. The total expected profit function per unit time is derived to determine the joint optimal values at the maximum profit. We first utilize the direct search method to measure the various characteristics of the profit function followed by Quasi-Newton method to search the optimal solutions. Furthermore, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is implemented to find the optimal combinations of parameters in the pursuit of maximum profit. Finally, a comparative analysis of the Quasi-Newton method with the PSO algorithm has demonstrated that the PSO algorithm provides a powerful tool to perform the optimization problem.  相似文献

The effect of ultrasonication and Fenton oxidation as physico-chemical pre-treatment processes on the change of rheology of wastewater sludge was investigated in this study. Pre-treated and raw sludges displayed non-Newtonian rheological behaviour with shear thinning as well as thixotropic properties for total solids ranging from 10 g/L to 40 g/L. The rheological models, namely, Bingham plastic, Casson law, NCA/CMA Casson, IPC Paste, and power law were also studied to characterize flow of raw and pre-treated sludges. Among all rheological models, the power law was more prominent in describing the rheology of the sludges. Pre-treatment processes resulted in a decrease in pseudoplasticity of sludge due to the decrease in consistency index K varying from 42.4 to 1188, 25.6 to 620.4 and 52.5 to 317.9; and increase in flow behaviour index n changing from 0.5 to 0.35, 0.62 to 0.55 and 0.63 to 0.58, for RS, UlS and FS, respectively at solids concentration 10–40 g/L. The correlation between improvement of biodegradability and dewaterability, decrease in viscosity, and change in particle size as a function of sludge pre-treatment process was also investigated. Fenton oxidation facilitated sludge filterability resulting in capillary suction time values which were approximately 50% of the raw sludges, whereas ultrasonication with high input energy deteriorated the filterability. Biodegradability was also enhanced by the pre-treatment processes and the maximum value was obtained (64%, 77% and 73% for raw, ultrasonicated and Fenton oxidized sludges, respectively) at total solids concentration of 25 g/L. Hence, pre-treatment of wastewater sludge modified the rheological properties so that: (1) the flowability of sludge was improved for transport through the treatment train (via pipes and pumps); (2) the dewaterability of wastewater sludge was enhanced for eventual disposal and; (3) the assimilation of nutrients by microorganisms for further value-addition was increased.  相似文献

Nanoparticles of Li0.1(Ni1−xZnx)0.8Fe2.1O4 (x=0-1.0) were prepared by a chemical co-precipitation method. A part of the precipitated powders was sintered at 1473 K for 2 h to obtain bulk samples via increasing the particle sizes. The particle size distribution, dc conductivity and magnetic permeability were investigated for the nano-structured samples and their bulk counterparts. The permeability as a function of temperature revealed the size effect of nano-structure in agreement with the literature. In some of the samples the permeability was almost constant over a considerable range of temperature, which may be useful in practical applications that require stability. Moreover, the nano-size structure caused a significant decrease in dc conductivity values.  相似文献
