Intermolecular interaction energy data for the methane dimer have been calculated at a spectroscopic accuracy and employed to construct an ab initio potential energy surface (PES) for molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of fluid methane properties. The full potential curves of the methane dimer at 12 symmetric conformations were calculated by the supermolecule counterpoise‐corrected second‐order Møller‐Plesset (MP2) perturbation theory. Single‐point coupled cluster with single and double and perturbative triple excitations [CCSD(T)] calculations were also carried out to calibrate the MP2 potentials. We employed Pople's medium size basis sets [up to 6‐311++G(3df, 3pd)] and Dunning's correlation consistent basis sets (cc‐pVXZ and aug‐cc‐pVXZ, X = D, T, Q). For each conformer, the intermolecular carbon–carbon separation was sampled in a step 0.1 Å for a range of 3–9 Å, resulting in a total of 732 configuration points calculated. The MP2 binding curves display significant anisotropy with respect to the relative orientations of the dimer. The potential curves at the complete basis set (CBS) limit were estimated using well‐established analytical extrapolation schemes. A 4‐site potential model with sites located at the hydrogen atoms was used to fit the ab initio potential data. This model stems from a hydrogen–hydrogen repulsion mechanism to explain the stability of the dimer structure. MD simulations using the ab initio PES show quantitative agreements on both the atom‐wise radial distribution functions and the self‐diffusion coefficients over a wide range of experimental conditions. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The perturbed-chain statistical associating fluid theory (PC-SAFT) and density-gradient theory are used to construct an equation of state to describe the phase behavior of binary methane–n-alkane mixtures. With the molecular parameters and influence parameters regressed from bulk properties and surface tensions of pure fluids, respectively as input, both the bulk and interfacial properties are investigated. The surface tension of the binary systems methane–propane, methane–pentane, methane–heptane and methane–decane are predicted, and the results are satisfactory compared with the experimental data. Our results show that PC-SAFT combined with density-gradient theory is able to describe the interfacial properties of binary methane–n-alkane mixtures in wide temperature and pressure ranges, and illustrate the influence of the equilibrium bulk properties and chain length of n-alkane molecule on the interfacial properties.  相似文献

Carbonaceous materials with different hierarchical porous structures for electrorheological (ER) dispersed phase have been synthesized by carbonization of as-prepared starch/silica precurser at different temperatures. The N2 adsorption isotherms show that Cmeso-700 and Cmeso-500 particles have the BET surface areas of 1028 and 603 m2 g−1, respectively. They both have the mesoporous pores with size of about 4.6 nm and the microporous pores (1.1 and 1.5 nm, respectively). The BET surface areas and C/O atomic ratio of porous carbon materials can be increased with the carbonization temperatures. The rheological measurements indicate that the Cmeso-700 and Cmeso-500 ERF have the better ER effect resulted from their hierarchical porous structures. The shear stress of Cmeso-700 ERF is 900 Pa at 1000 s−1 under 3 kV mm−1, which is almost 4.5 times larger than that of Cmicro-350 ERF. The mesoporous carbon ERFs also show the better sedimentation stability than microporous carbon ERFs. The different ER effect of carbonaceous particles may derive from their different dielectric polarization property induced by the hierarchical porous structures.  相似文献

采用上随体Maxwell本构方程,描述油藏条件下以第一法向应力差为主要特征的聚合物溶液的流变性.利用有限体积法对黏弹性聚合物溶液在突扩孔道内的流动特征进行数值模拟.绘制了流函数和速度的等值线图.研究了黏弹性的变化对微观波及效率的影响.数值模拟结果表明,聚合物溶液的黏弹性是影响波及效率的主要因素.凹角处的流动区域随着弹性的增加在不断增大,因此滞留区域不断减小,微观波及效率不断增大.具有黏弹特性的聚合物溶液相比于纯黏性的牛顿流体更利于提高驱油效率.这一结论有助于驱油工业上聚合物溶液的设计和优选.  相似文献

在密度梯度展开的基础上,将影响参数k 表达成温度的函数,建立了一个适用于均相和非均相缔合流体的状态方程。应用流体的蒸汽压和液相密度实验数据关联分子参数。在密度梯度理论的框架下,计算了水,重水,甲醇,乙醇,正丙醇,正丁醇,正戊醇和正己醇的成核速率并与实验数据进行了对比,计算结果令人满意。结果表明,密度梯度理论与密度泛函理论一样,可研究液核的结构和性质,但通过调整影响参数k, 可获得更为准确的成核速率。  相似文献

Since its extensive development in the early 1980s, SFE has attracted considerable attention as a sample-preparation procedure. However, other different sample preparation procedures, including precipitation, liquid- and/or solid-phase extraction in biological fluids, also remain in use. In this investigation, SFE was introduced to isolate and identify orbifloxacin from plasma and milk. Four parameters, including the temperature and the pressure of supercritical fluid, modifier ratios, and dynamic extraction time, were evaluated and optimized to obtain the best yield of the analyte from the biological fluids. Determinations of the orbifloxacin (OBFX) in the extracts were carried out using HPLC-FLD. The optimum conditions of the extraction process that yielded the maximum analyte extraction efficiencies were 150 °C vs. 60 °C, 250 kg cm−2, 30% vs. 35% methanol, and 40 min vs. 20 min, for plasma and milk, respectively. The linearity of the calibration curves as well as the instrument LODs/LOQs were evaluated. Good linearity (at least r2 ≥ 0.999) of the calibration curves was obtained over the range from 0.2 to 0.01 μg mL−1. The method showed a good recovery rate (74.2-127.73%) and precision (RSDs: 1.64-20%). The instrumental LOD and LOQ values were 0.004 μg mL−1 vs. 0.01 μg mL−1 or 0.006 μg mL−1 vs. 0.02 μg mL−1, for plasma and milk, respectively. The method was successfully applied to estimate the pharmacokinetic variables of orbifloxacin in lactating does. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that SFE has been applied to isolate an antimicrobial agent from biological fluids. This method is promising for clinical applications and for pharmacokinetic studies of various pharmaceuticals in biological fluids.  相似文献

Applications and prospects of two-phase, tuneable solvent systems composed of ionic liquids (ILs) and supercritical fluids with an emphasis on supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO(2)) are reviewed. The IL-scCO(2) biphasic systems have increasingly been used in diverse fields of chemistry and technology, and some examples of these applications are mentioned here. Rational design of such applications can obviously benefit from pertinent data on phase equilibria including the partition coefficients of the prospective products and reactants between the two phases. Therefore, a reliable technique to measure the limiting partition coefficients would be of value. Here, the pros and cons of supercritical fluid chromatography in this respect are discussed. An overview of methods for predictive thermodynamic modelling of binary (IL-scCO(2)) and ternary (solute-IL-scCO(2)) systems is also included.  相似文献

The enantioseparation of trans-3-ethoxycarbonyl-4-(4′-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl piperidine-2,6-dione (3), which is one of the important racemic precursors of trans-(−)-paroxetine, has been investigated using supercritical fluid chromatography on a Daicel Chiralpak AD column. Supercritical CO2 modified with methanol, ethanol and 2-propanol were used as mobile phase. The influence of type and concentration of alcohol modifier on retention factor, enantioselectivity and resolution were studied. Among methanol, ethanol and 2-propanol, 2-propanol was proved to be the most favorable modifier, and 9.5% (v/v) of 2-propanol was the preferred concentration at which racemate 3 could be separated with resolution of 15.86 and retention factor of 6.323. The effects of pressure and temperature were investigated at 9.5% (v/v) of 2-propanol in the pressure range of 12–24 MPa and temperature range of 303.15–318.15 K. It was found that the lower pressure and temperature were favorable to the enantioseparation. Using van’t Hoff plot, the isoenantioselective temperature was calculated to be 410 K. The enantioseparation process was “enthalpically driven” under experimental conditions. Finally, the retention factors were satisfactorily correlated by a simplified lattice–fluid model with average absolute relative deviation (AARD%) of both enantiomers smaller than 1.76%.  相似文献

The separation of the enantiomers of flurbiprofen on an amylose-derived chiral stationary phase, Chiralpak AD-H, by supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) under both linear and non-linear conditions is studied. Pulse injections were implemented using supercritical CO2modified with methanol as a mobile phase at a temperature of 30 °°C. At linear conditions, the isotherm is determined directly from the chromatogram. Under overload conditions, the elution profiles were described by competitive Langmuir and bi-Langmuir isotherm. Isotherm parameters were estimated using the inverse method and the effects of operation variables such as pressure and modifier composition were studied. The value of selectivity is from 1.9 to 2.1 while the value of resolution is from 5.3 to 11.8. The number of theoretical plates is always greater than 5000 indicating high efficiency of SFC.  相似文献

The connection between the observable output in column chromatography (retention time, retention volume, retention factor, separation factor, etc.) and system properties (hold-up volume, pressure, temperature, isotherm behavior, etc.) is discussed from a practical and mechanistic perspective for gas–liquid chromatography, reversed-phase liquid chromatography, supercritical fluid chromatography, micellar electrokinetic chromatography, and capillary electrochromatography. The unifying feature of these techniques is that retention can be described by a partition model, although not always exclusively. When over simplistic system models are used to explain variation in retention parameters they frequently mask the true reasons for poor repeatability and difficulties in transfer between system. Methods employing relative retention afford higher precision but may contain residual uncorrected errors. For those systems with several separate mechanisms contributing to retention the effective retention parameters can no longer be interpreted by simple partition models. The broadly based and practically focused material in this article affords an illustration of the often complicated relationship between system properties and retention, and the dangers that lurk in simplified retention models if the validity of their underlining approximations is not appropriate for the system under study.  相似文献
