The tetrahedral, shape‐persistent molecule 1 4+, containing four pyridylpyridinium units connected through a central carbon atom, exhibits unexpected photophysical properties including a substantially redshifted absorption (2350 cm?1) and a very strong fluorescence (Φem=40 %), compared with the monomer 2 + (Φem=0.4 %). Density functional theory calculations on the structure and spectroscopic properties of 1 4+ and 2 + show that exciton interactions, homoconjugation, and orbital nature account for the observed differences in their photophysical properties. The protonated tetramer binds four cucurbit[7]uril molecules and the host/guest interactions can be controlled by chemical (acid/base) as well as redox stimuli. 相似文献

Inclusion complexes of benzo‐ and dithiabenzo‐crown ether functionalized monopyrrolotetrathiafulvalene (MPTTF) molecules were formed with Li+@C60 ( 1? Li+@C60 and 2? Li+@C60). The strong complexation has been quantified by high binding constants that exceed 106 M ?1 obtained by UV/Vis titrations in benzonitrile (PhCN) at room temperature. On the basis of DFT studies at the B3LYP/6‐311G(d,p) level, the orbital interactions between the crown ether moieties and the π surface of the fullerene together with the endohedral Li+ have a crucial role in robust complex formation. Interestingly, complexation of Li+@C60 with crown ethers accelerates the intersystem crossing upon photoexcitation of the complex, thereby yielding 3(Li+@C60)*, when no charge separation by means of 1Li+@C60* occurs. Photoinduced charge separation by means of 3Li+@C60* with lifetimes of 135 and 120 μs for 1? Li+@C60 and 2? Li+@C60, respectively, and quantum yields of 0.82 in PhCN have been observed by utilizing time‐resolved transient absorption spectroscopy and then confirmed by electron paramagnetic resonance measurements at 4 K. The difference in crown ether structures affects the binding constant and the rates of photoinduced electron‐transfer events in the corresponding complex. 相似文献

Three new organic semiconductors, in which either two methoxy units are directly linked to a dibenzotetrathiafulvalene (DB‐TTF) central core and a 2,1,3‐chalcogendiazole is fused on the one side, or four methoxy groups are linked to the DB‐TTF, have been synthesised as active materials for organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs). Their electrochemical behaviour, electronic absorption and fluorescence emission as well as photoinduced intramolecular charge transfer were studied. The electron‐withdrawing 2,1,3‐chalcogendiazole unit significantly affects the electronic properties of these semiconductors, lowering both the HOMO and LUMO energy levels and hence increasing the stability of the semiconducting material. The solution‐processed single‐crystal transistors exhibit high performance with a hole mobility up to 0.04 cm2 V?1 s?1 as well as good ambient stability. 相似文献

Historically, due to the size and nature of the instrumentation, highly skilled laboratory professionals performed clinical
testing in centralized laboratories. Today’s clinicians demand realtime test data at the point of care. This has led to a
new generation of compact, portable instruments permitting ”laboratory” testing to be performed at or near the patient’s bedside
by nonlaboratory workers who are unfamiliar with testing practices. Poorly controlled testing processes leading to poor quality
test results are an insidious problem facing point of care testing today. Manufacturers are addressing this issue through
instrument design. Providers of clinical test results, regardless of location, working with manufacturers and regulators must
create and manage complete test systems that eliminate or minimize sources of error. The National Committee for Clinical Laboratory
Standards (NCCLS) in its EP18 guideline, ”Quality management for unit-use testing,” has developed a quality management system
approach specifically for test devices used for point of care testing (POCT). Simply stated, EP18 utilizes a ”sources of error”
matrix to identify and address potential errors that can impact the test result. The key is the quality systems approach where
all stakeholders – professionals, manufacturers and regulators – collaboratively seek ways to manage errors and ensure quality. We illustrate the use of one quality systems approach, EP18, as a means to advance the quality of test results at point of
care.

A new technique is proposed to improve information confidentiality in optical-fiber communications without bandwidth consumption. A pseudorandom vectorial sequence was generated by a dynamic system algorithm and used to codify a multi-level polarization modulation based on the Stokes vector. Optical-fiber birefringence, usually considered as a disturbance, was exploited to obfuscate the signal transmission. At the receiver end, the same pseudorandom sequence was generated and used to decode the multi-level polarization modulated signal. The proposed scheme, working at the physical layer, provides strong information security without introducing complex processing and thus latency. 相似文献

Abstract The equations of state (EOS) of four and five dimensional hyperspheres have been calculated using Leutheusser's ansatz. In five dimensions these, and the correlation functions, are compared with the results obtained from the analytic solution of the Percus—Yevick (PY) approximation. It is shown that the ansatz reproduces extremely well the PY results. However, in both approximations neither the virial, Zv , nor the compressibility, Zc , EOS reproduce well the available molecular dynamics (MD) results. Yet a linear combination of Zv and Zc , following the Carnahan—Starling EOS for hard spheres, are in excellent agreement with the MD results in four and five dimensions. 相似文献

We introduce the notion of integrating factor for a 1-form which is an inner product of a vector fields and a 2-form, and the notion of weakly bi-Hamiltonian field also, which is locally quasi-bi-Hamiltonian. A cohomological class in some first cohomology space is associated to such vector fields when this is weakly bi-Hamiltonian and defined relatively to the above 1-form. A two-dimensional optical micro-scanner, which main components are two mobile flat and a concave micro-mirrors, is designed such that, all optical components can be fabricated on the same substratum. The optical parameters, which physical dimensions are between 50 and 500 μm, are obtained within the geometrical optics. A new facile synthetic route to benzils containing fragments of 12-crown-4, 15-crown-5, and 18-crown-6 by oxidation of corresponding stilbenes was developed. The first representative of a new family of fluorescent sensors was obtained by reaction of bis(15-crown-5)benzil with o-phenylenediamine.
