A new experimental realisation of the travelling-wave amplified spontaneous emission (TWASE) is described utilising a prismatic arrangement to get the pulse front delay in the pump beam. Rhodamine dye solutions were pumped by the amplified 25 ps long 555 nm pulses of a distributed feedback dye laser. The pulse shortening in the TWASE resulted in 12 ps output pulses with 18% energy efficiency. The observed spectrum showed numerous lines, and it contained the amplified Raman line of the pump beam. Several spots were found in the far-field zone of the generated TWASE.  相似文献

I set forth and discuss I.I. Rabis views on the nature of science and society, focusing specifically on Rabis views on science and government, science and education, and science and religion. I also explore the influence of Rabi and C.P. Snow on each other. In the 1960s, Rabi set forth his mature and boldest positions, advocating science as the center of education and science as the replacement for religion. His positions culminate in science as the universal culture. I highlight Rabi not only as a scientist and public servant, but also as a public intellectual actively engaged with and connected to major issues of his time.Michael A. The polycrystalline sample of layered compound FePS_3 has been investigated by using M?ssbauer spectroscopy (12K to 300K), magnetic susceptibility measurements, x-ray diffraction and FTIR spectroscopy. The antiferromagnetic order exists below T_N=120.5±1K. The M?ssbauer spectra below T_N indicate that the magnetization axis is perpendicular to the layer of FePS_3, and the divalent iron cations are in their high spin configurations. By fitting the hyperfine field parameters near the Néel temperature, we obtain information on the nature of magnetic interactions in the material. The results show that the magnetic coupling can be treated by the two-dimensional Ising model, and it can be interpreted on the basis of a crystal-field effect.  相似文献

本文采用了M/G/1/K排队模型对Darwin标准草案中建议的弹性分组环网的分组传输延时进行了性能分析,结果表明不同优先级的业务等待延时不同,高优先级分组在网络中传输延时最低,中优先级分组的延时仅略低于低优先级分组,当网络规模增加时,这种差距逐渐减小甚至可以忽略;并且从理论上推导出网络最大吞吐量,这对于制定相关标准、设计和规划实用网络具有重要指导作用.  相似文献

Structural, AC and DC magnetic properties of polycrystalline Zn1−xCoxFe2O4 (x=0.2, 0.4) samples sintered at various temperatures (1100-1300 °C), and various dwell times (0.2-15 h) have been investigated thoroughly. The bulk density of the Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 samples increases as the sintering temperature (Ts) increases from 1100 to 1250 °C, and above 1250 °C the bulk density decreases slightly. The Zn0.80Co0.20Fe2O4 samples show similar behavior of changes to that of Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 samples except that the bulk density is found to be highest at 1200 °C. The DC magnetization as a function of temperature curves show that the Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 sample is ferrimagnetic at room temperature while the Zn0.80Co0.20Fe2O4 sample is paramagnetic at room temperature. The Tc of Zn0.80Co0.20Fe2O4 sample is found to be 170 K from DC magnetization measurement. Separate measurement (AC magnetization), initial permeability as a function of temperature shows that the Tc of the Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 sample is 353 K. Slight variation of Tc is observed depending on sintering condition. The initial permeability for the Zn0.60Co0.40Fe2O4 composition sintered at 1250 °C is found to be maximum.  相似文献

The adsorption of alginate (Alg) onto the surface of in water dispersed Fe3O4 nanoparticles and zeta potential of alginate-coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been investigated to optimize the colloidal stability of Alg-coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The adsorption amount of Alg increased with the decrease of adsorption pH. The zeta potential of Fe3O4 nanoparticles shifted to a lower value after adsorption of Alg. The lower adsorption pH was the lower zeta potential of Fe3O4 nanoparticles became. The Alg-coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles were found to be stabilized by steric and electrostatic repulsions. Those prepared at pH 6 were not stable around pH 5, and those prepared at pH 4 became unstable at pH below 3.5. Alg of Mw 45 kDa was a little bit more adsorbed onto nanoparticles surface than that of Mw 24 kDa. An average Fe3O4 core size of 9.3 ± 1.7 nm was found by transmission electronic microscopy. An average hydrodynamic diameter of 30-150 nm was measured by photon correlation spectroscopy. However, an average core size of 10 nm and an average hydrodynamic diameter of 38 nm were estimated from the magnetization curve of the concentrated magnetic fluids (MFs). The maximum available saturation magnetization of MFs was about 3.5 kA/m.  相似文献

Thin films of sodium salicylate were deposited by spin coating from a solution prepared by dissolving sodium salicylate in methanol. The films were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, UV-visible spectroscopy and spectrofluorometry. The films were crystalline with a strong blue fluorescence peak at an emission wavelength of 419.3 nm. The influence of solution concentration, spin speed and annealing temperature on the fluorescence intensity was studied. Optimum results were obtained with a solution whose concentration was 2.5 M. It was found that lower spin speed resulted in higher fluorescence intensity. Moreover, the fluorescence intensity decreased as the annealing temperature was increased. The durability of the films over a period of 30 days was also investigated, and films annealed at higher temperatures were found to be less degraded with time.  相似文献

Tin oxide (SnO2)-layers-doped terbium and europium ions are elaborated by the sol-gel method on silicon substrates. After annealing at 500 °C, the transmission electron microscopy revealed a crystallization of tin oxide.The emission properties of rare-earth in SnO2 are studied systematically against temperature annealing and Tb3+ concentration. The PL spectrum is optimal after annealing at 900 °C and the corresponding photoluminescence (PL) decay is nearly exponential, showing that the sample is homogenous and the PL process can be described by two levels system.The concentration effect shows a quenching of the PL intensity for Tb3+ concentration above 4%. From the investigation of the decay rate from the 7F5 state within terbium concentration, we show that self-quenching is insured by dipole - dipole interaction. The evolutions of both PL intensity and PL lifetime versus temperature are studied. The PL intensity and PL lifetime are enhanced by deposing SnO2:Tb3+ and SnO2:Eu3+ in porous silicon. We show that an efficient excitation transfer from Si nanocrystallites to RE ions can occur.  相似文献

Neutron diffraction and M?ssbauer measurements have been carried out on the cubic Laves phase intermetallic TbMnFe. The magnetic moment on the transition metal atom is found to be low, 0.2μ B, at room temperature. This moment is temperature independent down to 10 K. Magnetic moment on the rare earth atom varies from 2.5μ B at 296 K to 7.27μ B at 10 K. M?ssbauer spectra recorded at 298 K and 78 K have magnetic character but there is a large distribution of hyperfine field values. Both these features arise due to magnetic frustration created in the sample due to the competing ferro and antiferromagnetic interactions between the transition metal atoms.  相似文献
