A compromise solution for the multiobjective stochastic linear programming under partial uncertainty
This paper solves the multiobjective stochastic linear program with partially known probability. We address the case where the probability distribution is defined by crisp inequalities. We propose a chance constrained approach and a compromise programming approach to transform the multiobjective stochastic linear program with linear partial information on probability distribution into its equivalent uniobjective problem. The resulting program is then solved using the modified L-shaped method. We illustrate our results by an example. 相似文献

B&B Frameworks for the Capacity Expansion of High Speed Telecommunication Networks Under Uncertainty
The purpose of this paper is to investigate branch and bound strategies and the comparison of branch and cut with pure branch
and bound approaches on high speed telecommunication network design under uncertainty. We model the problem as a two-stage
stochastic program with discrete first-stage (investment) variables. Two formulations of the problem are used. The first one
with general integer investment variables and the second one, a variant of the first model, with 0-1 investment variables.
We present computational results for three solution approaches: the integer L-shaped (Benders) decomposition, a branch and
bound framework and a disjunctive cutting plane method.

This paper is concerned with implementational issues and computational testing of bounds-based approximations for solving
two-stage stochastic programs with fixed recourse. The implemented bounds are those derived by the authors previously, using
first and cross moment information of the random parameters and a convex-concave saddle property of the recourse function.
The paper first examines these bounds with regard to their tightness, monotonic behavior, convergence properties, and computationally
exploitable decomposition structures. Subsequently, the bounds are implemented under various partitioning/refining strategies
for the successive approximation. The detailed numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness in solving large scenario-based
two-stage stochastic optimization problems throughsuccessive scenario clusters induced by refining the approximations. 相似文献

The early short time transient response of an L-shaped plate is investigated by the method of reverberation ray matrix (MRRM) and the generalized ray method (GRM). The MRRM and GRM have been successfully used to study the transient elastic wave transmitting in the beams, planar trusses, space frames and infinite layered media. In the present paper, these two methods are extended to investigate the flexural wave propagation in a finite L-shaped Mindlin plate. The reverberation-ray matrix representing the multi-reflected and scattered waves in the L-shaped plate is presented. The rays in the GRM propagating in the L-shaped plate are determined by the shock source and the boundary conditions. From the numerical results, it indicates that the early short time transient responses of L-shaped plate calculated by the MRRM are the same as those by the GRM. The early short time transient acceleration responses are very large, while the early short time transient displacement responses are very small for the L-shaped plate subjected to the unit impulse. Furthermore, the effects of the different shock signals and the plate thickness on the early short time transient responses of the finite L-shaped Mindlin plates are also analyzed. 相似文献

In this study, the bounds for eigenvalues of the Laplacian operator on an L-shaped domain are determined. By adopting some special functions in Goerisch method for lower bounds and in traditional Rayleigh–Ritz method for upper bounds, very accurate bounds to eigenvalues for the problem are obtained. Numerical results show that these functions can also be successfully used to solve the problem on the region with other reentrant angle. 相似文献
