In this paper, digital holographic (DH) microscopy demonstrates its ability to perform a full characterization of nanofibers. The high resolution and magnification of the presented method to study the nanofibers are tested using standard MIL-STD-150A 1951 USAF resolution test target. In this investigation, aggregated natural cellulose nanowhisker fibers are positioned in the front of the microscopic objective using a 3D translation stage in the object arm of DH setup. The recorded off-axis holograms are refocused using the angular spectrum method. The reconstructed complex field is used to calculate optical phase and intensity distributions of the object at different reconstruction depths. A simple algorithm is used to define the focused image with suitable accuracy. The dimensions and orientation of the fibers can be evaluated from the optical field at different depths. Then, the shape and textures along the aggregated natural cellulose nanowhisker fiber can be presented in a 3D space. 相似文献

提供了一种可将离面位移与面内位移分离的三维位移场测量方法.在双光束电子散斑干涉中增加参考光,使这一路参考光为两光束所共用.两束光各自独立地对变形物体进行测量,结合相移技术,可分别得到包含离面和面内位移信息的二幅位相图.只需简单的位相运算就能够将面内位移场与离面位移场分离.在竖直方向上,采用两光束对称照明被测物,直接测量面内位移竖直方向分量.本文将该技术应用到柴油机油泵测量上,得到了油泵的三维位移场.该技术为三维位移场的测量提供了一种新的有效途径,也为柴油机零部件的强度和刚度分析评价提供了新的方法. 相似文献

A new model, using non-destructive two- and/or multiple-beam interferometric techniques, is suggested for measuring the refractive index profile of fibers having regular and/or irregular cross-sectional shape taking into consideration the refraction of the light rays by the fiber. The proposed model is applied for three different fibers having different cross-sectional shapes and different refractive index profiles. These fibers are PPT, homogeneous fiber, with circular cross-section, graded index optical fiber of circular cross-sectional shape and Dralon fiber of irregular cross-section. To validate the proposed model it is used, firstly, to calculate the index profile for a standard PPT fiber. Secondly, the calculated results for the irregular Dralon fiber and GR-IN optical fiber are compared with that calculated using other conventional method. From this comparison, we recommend that the refraction must be taken into account to obtain accurate results especially for birefringent fibers and graded index optical fibers. 相似文献

A self-reference fiber Michelson interferometer measurement system, which employs fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) as in-fiber reflective mirrors and interleaves together two fiber Michelson interferometers that share the common-interferometric-optical path, is presented. One of the fiber interferometers is used to stabilise the system by the use of an electronic feedback loop to compensate the influences resulting from the environmental disturbances, while the other one is used to perform the measurement task. The influences resulting from the environmental disturbances have been eliminated by the compensating action of the electronic feedback loop, this makes the system suitable for on-line precision measurement. By means of the homodyne phase-tracking technique, the linearity of the measurement results of displacement measurements has been very high. 相似文献

A new method based on a mathematical model and a computer program is suggested to determine the refractive index profile of fibers having regular and/or irregular transverse sectional shape. Microinterferogram of both multiple-beam Fizeau fringes and the duplicated image from two-beam interference microscope are used for the determination of refractive index profile, cross-sectional area and shape of three different types of fibers. We propose a novel approach to estimate the phase distribution in the presence of nonlinear response of the PZT. The proposed method is an outcome of two different concepts based on the discrete chirp Fourier transform (DCFT) and the maximum-likelihood estimator for the estimation of nonlinear phase step. The robustness of the proposed method is tested for various magnitudes of nonlinearity and harmonics. Comparison of our proposed method with the bench marking algorithm by Hibino et al.'s six and nine sample algorithm in the presence of noise shows that our method is highly efficient. 相似文献

This work presents the performance of a simple Michelson interferometric configuration, allowing monitoring and evaluation of corrosion and oxide layer growth in aluminium during aqueous corrosion processes in a distilled water solution, without any physical contact with the sample. This alternative experimental arrangement introduces a simpler alignment compared with a preliminary proposal [Habib K. In situ measurement of oxide film growth on aluminium samples by holographic interferometry. Corrosion Sci 2001; 43, 449–55], and the obtained interferograms offer a qualitative and possibly quantitative evaluation of an important physical parameter related to the corrosion process kinetics. Interferograms were obtained as a function of time to register changes related to the corrosion dynamics and oxide growth process. A comparison of the results of interferometric phase information retrieval and subsequent tomographic reconstruction from deformed wavefront projections by phase unwrapping is presented. In interferogram processing, conventional fringe tracking and Fourier transform methods have been utilized for comparison. With these methods by injecting carrier fringes, the projection data of any axial cross section can be extracted in all projection directions to implement three-dimensional tomographic reconstruction. The results of experiments of a simulated temperature field prove that the phase extraction based on the Fourier transform method produces tomographic reconstruction much superior to the conventional fringe tracking technique. 相似文献
