The propagation of the surface quantum plasma waves is investigated in a thin quantum plasma slab. The symmetric and anti-symmetric dispersion modes of the quantum surface wave are obtained by the plasma dielectric function with the kinetic dispersion model for the slab geometry. Based on the wave equation of ultra-intense linearly polarized laser pulse propagating in electron–positron plasmas, the modulational instability is investigated. The nonlinear dispersion relation and the growth rate of instability are derived. The effects of plasmas number density, temperature, and laser intensity on the growth rate are analyzed. Results show that in an electron–positron plasma with certain background density, the intensity of the modulation instability is mainly determined by the competition between the nonlinearity in the interaction and the relativistic light ponderomotive driven density responses. 相似文献

We derive the expression of the reference distribution function for magnetically confined plasmas far from the thermodynamic equilibrium. The local equilibrium state is fixed by imposing the minimum entropy production theorem and the maximum entropy (MaxEnt) principle, subject to scale invariance restrictions. After a short time, the plasma reaches a state close to the local equilibrium. This state is referred to as the reference state. The aim of this Letter is to determine the reference distribution function (RDF) when the local equilibrium state is defined by the above mentioned principles. We prove that the RDF is the stationary solution of a generic family of stochastic processes corresponding to an universal Landau-type equation with white parametric noise. As an example of application, we consider a simple, fully ionized, magnetically confined plasmas, with auxiliary Ohmic heating. The free parameters are linked to the transport coefficients of the magnetically confined plasmas, by the kinetic theory. 相似文献

A theory is developed to treat ion recombination in dense ion plasmas. Numerical results are obtained with the method of molecular dynamics. Exponential suppression of recombination is found for the discharge afterglow plasma in sulfur hexafluoride at strong Coulomb nonideality Γ. The reason for suppression is an increase of the recombination activation energy ΔE with increase of Γ. The range ΔE corresponds to the multiparticle fluctuations. Ion solvation is another suppression factor. Its importance is demonstrated for the discharge afterglow plasma in fluorine at weak Coulomb nonideality. We consider partially ionized hydrogen plasma for the density region ne = (1018 ÷ 1022) cm—3. The cross sections for scattering processes between the particles are calculated within the partial wave method. Charged particles in the system (electrons, protons) interact via an effective potential that takes into account threeparticle correlations. The Buckingham polarization potential is used to describe electron‐atom and proton‐atom interactions. The electrical conductivity is determined using the Chapman‐Enskog method. Two hot bands in the infrared spectrum of formaldehyde (H2CO) have been identified by means of tunable infrared laser spectroscopy using a jet-cooled sample. One band falls in the region 2760-2800 cm−1; it follows a-type selection rules and it has been assigned as the ν1 + ν4 − ν4 hot band. The other band falls in the region 2800-2860 cm−1; it follows b-type selection rules and it has been assigned as the ν5 + ν4 − ν4 hot band. The observations are restricted to low J and Ka levels. It has consequently been possible to ignore the effects of the extensive Coriolis couplings involving these levels in the analysis of the spectra and to model the rotational structure as that of a simple asymmetric top. Least-squares fits of the data have provided values for the band origins: 2774.2706(11) cm−1 for the ν1 + ν4 − ν4 and 2829.2621(8) cm−1 for the ν5 + ν4 − ν4 band. Term values for the upper vibrational levels involved in the transitions have been determined by use of the previously reported term values for the v4 = 1 level. 相似文献
