繁星无法超越——三体问题溯源

三体问题是一个困扰学术界多年的难题.自牛顿在《自然哲学的数学原理》中首次定义三体问题开始,人们已经在这个问题上努力了300年之久.欧拉和拉格朗日先后研究了一些较为简单的三体系统问题,而庞加莱首先考虑了限制性的三体问题,但发现其轨迹十分复杂而无法描绘.他转而证明了三体问题不存在解析解,并着手创立了一门崭新的学科——非线性动力学.充满生命力的非线性动力学或能为人们解决这个问题提供不同的思路.     

Hájek-Rényi-type inequality and strong law of large numbers for some dependent sequences

In this paper, we get the Hjek-Rényi-type inequalities for a pairwise NQD sequence, an Lr (r > 1) mixingale and a linear process, which have the concrete coefficients. In addition, we obtain the strong law of large numbers, strong growth rate and the integrability of supremum for the above sequences, which generalize and improve Corollary 2 for Lr (r > 1) mixingale of Hansen.     

Blood flow and arterial endothelial dysfunction: Mechanisms and implications

The arterial endothelium exquisitely regulates vascular function, and endothelial dysfunction plays a critical role in the development of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerotic lesions develop preferentially at arterial branches and bifurcations where the blood flow is disturbed. Understanding the basis for this observation requires elucidating the effects of blood flow on the endothelial cell (EC) function. The goal of this review is: (1) to describe our current understanding of the relationships between arterial blood flow and atherosclerosis, (2) to present the wide array of flow-induced biological responses in ECs, and (3) to discuss the mechanisms by which ECs sense, transmit, and transduce flow-derived mechanical forces. We conclude by presenting some future perspectives in the highly interdisciplinary field of EC mechanotransduction.

Spin and pseudospin symmetries of the Dirac equation with shifted Hulthén potential using supersymmetric quantum mechanics

In this paper, we obtain approximate analytical solutions of the Dirac equation for the shifted Hulthén potential within the framework of spin and pseudospin symmetry limits for arbitrary spin–orbit quantum number κ using the supersymmetry quantum mechanics. The energy eigenvalues and the corresponding Dirac wave functions are obtained in closed forms.     

Oblique Derivative Problem for Quasilinear Mixed (Lavrentév-Bitsadze) Equations of Second Order in Two Connected Domains

In this article, we first give the representation of solutions for the oblique derivative problem of mixed (Lavrentév-Bitsadze) equations in two connected domains, afterwards prove the uniqueness of solutions of the above problem. Moreover, we prove the solvability of oblique derivative problem for quasilinear mixed (Lavrentév-Bitsadze) equations of second order, and obtain a priori estimates of solutions of the above problem. The above problem is an open problem proposed by Rassias.
