Single noble metal permanent modifiers such as, Rh, Ir, and Ru, as well as mixed tungsten plus noble metal (W-Rh, W-Ru, W-Ir) permanent modifiers thermally deposited on the integrated platform of transversally heated graphite atomizer were employed for the determination of arsenic in sludges, soils, sediments, coals, ashes and waters by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. Microwave digests of solid samples and water samples were employed for obtaining the analytical characteristics of the methods with different permanent modifiers. The performance of the modifiers for arsenic determination in the real samples depended strongly on the type of permanent modifier chosen. The single noble metal (Rh, Ir and Ru) permanent modifiers were suitable for the analyte determinations in simpler matrices such as waters (recoveries of certified values 95-105%), but the analyte recoveries of certified values in sludges, soils, sediments, coals, and ashes were always lower than 90%. On the other hand, for the determination of arsenic, using W-Rh, W-Ru, and W-Ir permanent modifiers presented recoveries of certified values within 95-105% for all the samples. Long-term stability curves obtained for the determination of arsenic in environmental samples with different permanent modifiers (Rh, Ir, Ru, W-Rh, W-Ir, W-Ru) showed that the improvement in the tube lifetime depends on the tungsten deposit onto the platform. The tungsten plus noble metal permanent modifier presents a tube lifetime of at least 35% longer when compared with single permanent modifier. The results for the determination of As employing different permanent modifiers in the samples were in agreement with the certified reference materials, since no statistical differences were found after applying the paired t-test at the 95% confidence level.  相似文献

Sensors for the detection of metal ions are of considerable importance for enabling the monitoring of environmental samples for metal ion contamination directly in the field. This review outlines the use of peptides and amino acids as the recognition element of electrochemical sensors for metal ion detection. Initially the complexation of metals by peptides is discussed followed by the immobilization of peptides on electrode surfaces. Subsequently, the application of peptide modified electrodes for detecting metals is reviewed and finally challenges and future prospects are outlined.  相似文献

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are of environmental concern, for instance when found in contaminated soils at sites where industrial activities have occurred. For efficient screening of such soils, the commercially available enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit, the PAH RIS soil test, can be used. However, the site-specific performance may vary due to differences in soil properties and contamination profiles. Hence, in this study we have examined various contributing factors to the total ELISA measurements uncertainties. These factors include contributions from co-extracted (non-target) compounds, the extraction efficiency and differences in cross-reactivity among the target analytes. Reference values were obtained through pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. The results showed that the ELISA does not seem to respond to non-target compounds in the soil extracts to any large extent. Furthermore, high molecular weight PAHs were found to be more efficiently extracted with PLE than with methanol agitation, which is used for ELISA. If this, and the cross-reactivity of the individual PAHs, were taken into consideration, the ELISA and GC-MS results were in good agreement.  相似文献

A simple, sensitive and rapid liquid chromatographic/electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometric method was developed and validated for the quantification of lacidipine in human plasma using its structural analogue, amlodipine, as internal standard (IS). The method involves a simple single-step liquid-liquid extraction with tert-butyl methyl ether. The analyte was chromatographed on an Xterra MS C(18) reversed-phase chromatographic column by isocratic elution with 20 mM ammonium acetate buffer-acetonitrile (10:90, v/v; pH 6) and analyzed by mass spectrometry in the multiple reaction monitoring mode. The precursor to product ion transitions of m/z 456.4 --> 354.4 and m/z 409.3 --> 238.3 were used to measure the analyte and the I.S., respectively. The chromatographic run time was 1.5 min and the weighted (1/x(2)) calibration curves were linear over the range 0.1-25 ng ml(-1). Lacidipine was sensitive to temperature in addition to light. The method was validated in terms of accuracy, precision, absolute recovery, freeze-thaw stability, bench-top stability and re-injection reproducibility. The limit of detection and lower limit of quantification in human plasma were 50 and 100 pg ml(-1), respectively. The within- and between-batch accuracy and precision were found to be well within acceptable limits (<15%). The analyte was stable after three freeze-thaw cycles (deviation <15%). The average absolute recoveries of lacidipine and amlodipine (IS) from spiked plasma samples were 51.1 +/- 1.3 and 50.3 +/- 4.9%, respectively. The assay method described here could be applied to study the pharmacokinetics of lacidipine.  相似文献

The very sensitive, fairly selective direct spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amount of vanadium (V) with 1,5-diphenylcarbohydrazide (1,5-diphenylcarbazide) has been developed. 1,5-diphenylcarbohydrazide (DPCH) reacts in slightly acidic (0.0001–0.001 M H2SO4 or pH 4.0–5.5) 50% acetonic media with vanadium (V) to give a red–violet chelate which has an absorption maximum at 531 nm. The average molar absorption coefficient and Sandell’s sensitivity were found to be 4.23×104 l mol−1 cm−1 and 10 ng cm−2 of Vv, respectively. Linear calibration graph were obtained for 0.1–30 μg ml−1 of Vv: the stoichiometric composition of the chelate is 1:3 (V: DPCH). The reaction is instantaneous and absorbance remain stable for 48 h. The interference from over 50 cations, anions and complexing agents has been studied at 1 μg ml−1 of Vv. The method was successfully used in the determination of vanadium in several standard reference materials (alloys and steels), environmental waters (potable and polluted), biological samples (human blood and urine), soil samples, solution containing both vanadium (V) and vanadium (IV) and complex synthetic mixtures. The method has high precision and accuracy (s=±0.01 for 0.5 μg ml−1).  相似文献

The natural background of anions encountered when analyzing soil samples by ion chromatography (IC) present significant problems in the separation, detection and quantification of isopropyl methylphosphonic acid (IMPA) and methylphosphonic acid (MPA), the degradation products of sarin, a chemical warfare nerve agent. Using chemically-suppressed IC with conductivity detection, a commercially available ion-exchange column, and an isocratic binary eluent system, IMPA and MPA were determined in aqueous extracts of soil at sub-ppm (μg/g) concentrations without the need for gradient elution or organic solvent eluent modifiers. Common soil anions such as chloride, nitrate, sulfate and phosphate do not interfere with the analysis method due to the composition of the binary eluent allowing for greater mobilization of multivalent anions (e.g., MPA, carbonate, and sulfate) while monovalent anions (e.g., IMPA and nitrate) are relatively unaffected. Carbonate is selectively removed by in-line respeciation to bicarbonate.  相似文献

In this paper we proposed a palladium(II) biosensor. The biosensor is based on determining of interactions between palladium(II) and metallothionein modified hanging mercury drop electrode by means of differential pulse voltammetry. We studied influence of two supporting electrolytes (potassium or sodium chloride) on the signals of the biosensor. Based on the results obtained we found potassium chloride (0.05 M) as the most suitable supporting electrolyte to determine palladium(II). The detection limit of the biosensor for palladium ions was evaluated as 100 nM with RSD about 10%. Moreover, we utilized the biosensor for measurement of the target molecule in the presence of human blood serum and human urine.  相似文献

Supported liquid membrane (SLM) method for preconcentration and enrichment of the two bipyridilium herbicides, namely diquat and paraquat, from environmental water samples has been developed. The permanently charged cationic herbicides were extracted from a flowing aqueous solution to a stagnant acidic acceptor solution across a liquid membrane containing 40% (v/v) di-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid dissolved in di-n-hexyl ether. The mass transfer of analytes is driven by the counter-coupled transport of hydrogen ions from the acceptor to the donor phase. The efficiency of the extraction process depends on the donor solution pH, the amount of the mobile carrier added to the liquid membrane and the concentration of the counter ion in the acceptor solution. The applicability of the method for extraction of these quaternary ammonium herbicides from environmental waters was also investigated by spiking analyte sample solutions in river water. With 24 h sample enrichment concentrations of diquat and paraquat down to ca. 10 ng/L could be detected in environmental waters.  相似文献
