In this paper,an analytical method for solving the bending problems of rectangularReissner plate with free edges under arbitrary loads laid on tensionless Winkler foundationsis proposed.By assuming proper form of Fourier series with supplementary terms,whichmeet derivable conditions,for deflection and shear force functions,the basic differentialequations with given boundary conditions can be transformed into a set of simple infinitealgebraic equations.For common Winkler foundations,this set of equations can be solveddirectly and for tensionless Winkler foundations,it is a set of weak nonlinear algebraicequations,the solution of which can be obtained easily by using iterative procedures. 相似文献

The objective of this research work has been to conduct experimental measurements on a dam break flow over a horizontal dry bed in order to provide a detailed insight, with emphasis on the pressure loads, into the dynamics of the dam break wave impacting a vertical wall downstream the dam. The experimental setup is described in detail, comprising state of the art miniaturized pressure sensors, high sampling rate data acquisition systems and high frame-rate video camera. It is a 1:2 scale of the highly cited (Lee et al., 2002, Journal of Fluids Engineering, 124) article experimental apparatus. Kinematics has been analyzed focusing on the free surface and wave front evolution. Experimental observations regarding liquid height and wave front speed have found to be in agreement with existing literature. This agreement enables the authors, assuming a similar framework, to discuss the measured pressure loads as a consequence of the dam break wave front impacting on the downstream wall. These loads show a substantial variability which has been statistically characterized. The measured quantities have been compared with the scarce available data in the literature, whose consistency is discussed. Measurements have been conducted with two filling heights. Scaling effects for such heights are also analyzed. As a direct result of the present initiative, an extensive set of data for computational tools validation is provided as Supplementary Materials, including pressure signals, wave height measurements and experimental videos. 相似文献

In the paper, a method of averaging displacements in a circular area lying in a linearly elastic transversally isotropic foundation
is developed for the four modes of motion: vertical, horizontal, rocking and torsional. The corresponding formulae are constructed
in a general form which does not depend on the kind of Green functions. For vertical and horizontal modes, uniform load distribution
are applied and the simple integral mean is considered, whereas for rotational modes the load proportional to the distance
from an axis of rotation is used, and angles of rotation for individual points are averaged with weight of the distance squared.
Along with the case of equal radii of circles of loading and averaging, the case of different radii is studied, which allows
one to consider contact problems for embedded axisymmetric foundations having the radius varying with depth. As examples the
following contact problems are studied: static stiffness for a cone embedded in a homogeneous isotropic half-space in vertical
motion, and dynamic stiffness for a disk on a layer resting on a homogeneous half-space for four modes of motion. Comparisons

Forced vibration analysis of curved beams on two-parameter elastic foundation subjected to impulsive loads are investigated. The Timoshenko beam theory is adopted in the derivation of the governing equation. Ordinary differential equations in scalar form obtained in the Laplace domain are solved numerically using the complementary functions method. Thermal post-buckling paths of homogeneous, isotropic, square plate configurations resting on elastic foundation (Winkler type) subjected to biaxial compressive thermal loads are expressed as simple closed-form solutions by using the Rayleigh–Ritz method based on coupled displacement fields. Geometric non-linearity of von-Karman type is considered. The in-plane displacement field variations used in the formulation of Rayleigh–Ritz method are derived by using the governing in-plane static differential equations of the plate which in turn simplifies the difficulty of assuming an in-plane displacement field variations of the square plate. The contact problem for an arbitrary punch acting on a transversely isotropic elastic layer bonded to a rigid foundation is
solved by the generalized images method developed by the author earlier. The problem is reduced to that of an electrostatic
problem of infinite row of coaxial charged disks in the shape of the domain of contact. The solution can be obtained by the
method of iteration, collocations or any other standard procedure for solving integral equations. Exact inversion can be obtained
in the case of a circular domain of contact. The mean value theorem can be used for estimation of the resultant force and
tilting moment acting on a punch of arbitrary shape and circular domain of contact. A limiting case of general solution gives
the solution for an isotropic layer.
