Nanocrystallite silver and silver sol were prepared and characterized by UV-visible spectra, XRD, TEM and HRTEM. The crystallite silver is re-dispersed in two different media, namely, water and alcohol and sonicated before ultrasonic investigation. The silver sol was used as such. Three different models for the propagation of ultrasound through two phase media are compared in these three different types of nano suspensions. Effect of particle size and medium on ultrasonic velocity (U), compressibility (κ) impedance (Z) and viscous relaxation time (τ) is studied. The particle concentration range was 0.2-1 v/v. Density and viscosity of the dispersion and sol are measured at different particle volume fractions. Effective density and ultrasonic velocity are computed by Urick, Kuster and Toksöz and Urick and Ament models and compared with experimental velocities. Values of effective density obtained by using Urick and Urick and Ament equations closely agree with experimental results of density while Urick's equation prediction of velocity is in close agreement with the experimental velocities. This comes as a surprise in view of the large density difference between the medium and suspended particle and suggests the possibility of the balancing effect of the inertial and viscous forces operating in the suspension. 相似文献

Large-area silicon nanoporous pillar arrays (Si-NPA) uniformly coated with gold nanoparticles was synthesized, and surface-enhanced Raman scattering of rhodamine 6G adsorbed on these gold nanoparticles were studied and compared. It's found that Au/Si-NPA substrate has a significantly high Raman signal sensitivity and good homogeneity. These are attributed to gold nanoparticles with narrow particle-size distribution uniformly coated on the surface and to the enlarged specific surface area for adsorption of target molecules brought by the porous silicon pillars. 相似文献

Tubular arrays of TiO2 nanotubes (ranging in diameter from 40 to 110 nm) on a Ti substrate were used as a support for Ag, Au or Cu deposits obtained by the sputter deposition technique, where the amount of metal varied from 0.01 to 0.2 mg/cm2. Those composite supports were intended for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) investigations. Composite samples were studied with the aid of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) to reveal their characteristic morphological and chemical features. Raman spectra of pyridine (as a probe molecule) were measured at different cathodic potentials ranging from −0.2 down to −1.2 V after the pyridine had been adsorbed on the metal-covered TiO2 nanotube/Ti substrates. In addition, SERS spectra on a bulk standard activated Ag, Au and Cu substrates were also measured. The SERS activity of the composite samples was strongly dependent on the amount of metal deposit, e.g. at and above 0.06 mg Ag/cm2, the intensity of SERS signal was even higher than that for the Ag reference substrate. The high activity of these composites is mainly a result of their specific morphology. The high SERS sensitivity on the surface morphology of the substrate made it possible to monitor very small temporal changes in the Ag metal clusters. This rearrangement was not detectable with microscopic (SEM) or microanalytical (AES) methods. The SERS activity of Au or Cu clusters was distinctly lower than those of Ag. The spectral differences exhibited by the three kinds of composites as compared to the reference metal samples are discussed. 相似文献

Possible structures and properties of some excited states of Λc+ dynamically generated in the coupled-channel P-wave meson-baryon scattering are studied by solving the Bethe-Salpeter(BS) equation in the framework of the Chiral Unitary Approach. It is shown that both Λc+(2765) and Λc+(2940) could be generated dynamically and could be compound states with multi-configuration molecular-like structures. The couplings of the generated states to various reaction channels are also calculated. Moreover, two highly excited states, Λc+(3024) and Λc+(3134), are predicted. 相似文献

The spatial structures of magnetic Co nanowire array embedded in anodic aluminium membranes were investigated by grazing incidence small angle X-ray scattering (GISAXS) and conventional small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) techniques. Compared with SEM observation, the GISAXS and SAXS measurements can get more overall structural information in a large-area scale. In this study, the two-dimensional GISAXS pattern was well reconstructed by using the IsGISAXS program. The results demonstrate that the hexagonal lattice formed by the Co nanowires is distorted (a ≈ 105 nm, b ≈ 95 nm). These Co nanowires are isolated into many structure domains with different orientations with a size of about 2 μm. The SAXS results have also confirmed that the nanopore structures in the AAM can be retained after depositing Co nanowires although the Co nanowires can not completely but only just fill up the nanopores. These results are helpful for understanding the global structure of the Co nanowire array. 相似文献

Thin films of BixCo2−xMnO4 (x=0, 0.1 and 0.3) were grown on quartz, LaAlO3 (LAO) and YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) buffer layer coated LAO substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman scattering measurements showed that the thin films exhibit single phase polycrystalline cubic spinel structure on all the substrates. Near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) studies confirmed the octahedral occupancy of the substituted Bi3+ ions. Temperature dependent zero-field cooled (ZFC) magnetization measurements show the ferrimagnetic (FM) behavior (TC∼186 K) and magnetization undergoes a crossover from positive to negative, owing to the opposite contributions of magnetic moments from Co and Mn ions. A weak ferroelectric property exhibited by the films above room temperature was evidenced through the capacitance-voltage (C-V) and dielectric measurements. Magnetoelectric coupling was found to be maximum just below FM-TC. 相似文献

I consider two cases where QCD string is described by an effective theory of long strings: the static potential and meson scattering amplitudes in the Regge regime. I show how they can be solved in the mean-field approximation, justified by the large number of space–time dimensions, and argue that it turns out to be exact. I compare contributions from QCD string and perturbative QCD and discuss experimental consequences for the scattering amplitudes. 相似文献

Deflection of high-energy negatively charged particles in straight and bent crystals through multiple scattering by crystal atomic strings was considered for the case in which the initial angle between the particle momentum and one of the main crystallographic axes was approximately four critical angles of axial channeling. It was shown that in a bent crystal with a small crystal thickness, when the crystal bend was less than the beam incidence angle, the beam deflected in the direction opposite to the direction of the crystal bend. At larger crystal thicknesses, the large part of the beam starts to deflect in the direction of the crystal bend. In addition, there is a group of particles that follow the crystal axis bend in the angular region of approximately the critical angle of axial channeling with respect to the current direction of the crystal axis. It was shown that in all of these deflection processes, the periodicity of the location of atomic strings in the crystal does not influence the angular distributions of scattered particles. This fact is connected with the effect of dynamical chaos in particle motion in the periodical field of bent crystal atomic strings. It was also shown that observed in a recent CERN experiment effect of beam deflection, when the angle between the initial particle momentum and the crystal axis was approximately four critical angles of axial channeling, is due to peculiarities of the stochastic multiple scattering of particles by bent crystal atomic strings. The topic of the present paper is the reflection of electromagnetic plane waves by rough surfaces, that is, by smooth and bounded perturbations of planar faces. Moreover, the contrast between the cover material and the substrate beneath the rough surface is supposed to be low. In this case, a modification of Stearns’ formula based on Born approximation and Fourier techniques is derived for a special class of surfaces. This class contains the graphs of functions where the interface function is a radially modulated almost periodic function. For the Born formula to converge, a sufficient and almost necessary condition is given. A further technical condition is defined, which guarantees the existence of the corresponding far field of the Born approximation. This far field contains plane waves, far‐field terms such as those for bounded scatterers, and, additionally, a new type of terms. The derived formulas can be used for the fast numerical computations of far fields and for the statistics of random rough surfaces. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献
