On the Decay of Solutions for Some Nonlinear Dissipative Hyperbolic Equations

In this paper we show the decay of solutions to the initial-boundary value problem for somenonlinear hyperbolic equation with a nonlinear dissipative term,by using a difference inequality.     

Non-linear Semigroup of a Class of Abstract Semilinear Functional Differential Equations with a Non-Dense Domain

In this work, we are concerned with a general class of abstract semilinear autonomous functional differential equations with a non-dense domain on a Banach space. Our objective is to study, using the Crandall-Liggett approach, the solutions as a semigroup of non-linear operators.     

A Property of <Emphasis Type="Italic">g</Emphasis>-Expectation

This paper proves that, under the hypothesis g(t, 0, 0) ≡ 0 and some natural assumptions, the generator g of a backward stochastic differential equation can be uniquely determined by the corresponding g-expectations with all terminal conditions. The main result of this paper also confirms and extends Peng Shige‘s conjecture.     

Nonlinear Internal Damping of Wave Equations with Variable Coefficients

For wave equations with variable coefficients on regions which are not necessarily smooth, we study the energy decay rate when a nonlinear damping is applied on a suitable subrigion.

本文研究二阶微分方程χ"+aχ+-bχ-+f(χ)g(χ'=p(t)周期解的存在性,这里χ+=max{χ,0},χ-=max{-χ,0},a,6是正常数并且点(a,b)位于某一条Fucik谱曲线上.当g(χ)的极限lim.g(χ)=g(+∞),lim g(χ)=g(-∞)和f(χ)的极限lim,g(χ)=f(+∞),lim f(χ)=f(-∞)都存在且有限时,给出了此方程存在周期解的充分条件.     

Some Notes on Reaction Diffusion Systems with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions

This paper deals with the existence and nonexistence of global positive solution to a semilinear reaction-diffusion system with nonlinear boundary conditions.For the heat diffusion case,the necessary and sufficient conditions on the global existence of all positive solutions are obtained.For the general fast diffusion case,we get some conditions on the global existence and nonexistence of positive solutions.The results of this paper fill the some gaps which were left in this field.     

Nonlinear Boundary Stabilization of Nonuniform Timoshenko Beam

In this paper, the stabilization problem of nonuniform Timoshenko beam by some nonlinear boundary feedback controls is considered. By virtue of nonlinear semigroup theory, energy-perturbed approach and exponential multiplier method, it is shown that the vibration of the beam under the proposed control actiondecays exponentially or in negative power of time t as t→∞.

计算数学是当代数学科学的重要分支,是伴随着计算机的出现而迅速发展并获得广泛应用的新兴交叉学科,是数学及计算机实现其在高科技领域应用的必不可少的纽带和工具.计算与理论和实验相并列,已经成为当今世界科学活动的第三种手段,这是二十世纪后半叶最重要的科技进步之一.值此世界进入新的世纪,国际数学家大会将首次在我国召开之际,回顾半个世纪来我国计算数学的发展,尤其是以已故冯康院士(1920-1993)为代表的我国计算数学家群体,即"冯康学派"对国际计算数学发展所做出的重要贡献,是非常有意义的.当然由于篇幅所限,本文只能涉及部分研究领域和少数专家学者,挂一漏万在所难免.
