In order to better understand the early continental evolution of the Anshan area, one ofthe typical Precambrian distribution areas of the North China Craton, the geochronology and REEcomposition of the zircons from the meta-argillo-arenaceous rock occurred as enclave in 3.1 GaLishan trondhjemite are studied by using SHRIMP ll ion microprobe. The addition of the macrocyclic polyether 18-Crown-6 (18C6) increases the selectivity of oxidation of ethylbenzene to -phenylethylhydroperoxide (PEH) in the presence of Ni(acac)2. The initial oxidation rate, selectivity and degree of conversion of ethylbenzene to PEH are greater than those catalyzed by Ni(acac)2 only. The efficiency of the macrocyclic ligand as an activator of Ni(acac)2 exceeds that of monodentate donor ligands. The high selectivity of the process is due to both the primary Ni(acac)2 · 18C6 complexes and the products of their transformation in the course of oxidation. Multi-temperature thermal plasmas have often to be considered to account for the nonequilibrium effects. Recently André et al. have developed the calculation of concentrations in a multi-temperature plasma by artificially separating the partition functions into a product by assuming that the excitation energies are those of the lower levels (electronic, vibration, and rotation). However, at equilibrium, differences, increasing with temperature, can be observed between partition functions calculated rigorously and with their method. This paper presents a modified method where it has been assumed that the preponderant rotational energy is that of the vibrational level v=0 of the ground electronic state and the preponderant vibrational energy is that of the ground electronic state. Summary The essential oils of Estonian spruce and pine needles have been analysed by a combination of steam distillation/extraction, GC and GC-MS. According to their monoterpene composition Estonian pines belong to a high carene chemotype with monoterpenes representing up to 85% of total oil. Estonian spruce needle oil contains up to 70% of oxygenated terpenes and more limonene and 1,8-cineole than the same spruce species [Picea abies (L.) A comparative study of the performance of liquid chromatography (LC)-atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation (APCI)-mass spectrometry (MS) and gas chromatography (GC)-mass spectrometry techniques for the determination of resin and fatty acids from paper mill process waters was carried out. These compounds are responsible for the high toxicity of paper mill effluents and little research has been carried out regarding their analysis using mass spectrometric techniques. To prove the usability of GC and LC-MS, 16 treated and untreated water samples of recycle, kraft and pulp paper mills were analysed and good agreement was observed as regards to compounds detected and corresponding concentrations. This paper also reports the limits of detection, recoveries, reproducibility, linearity and precision using the two methods. GC-MS presented better selectivity and lower detection limits (below 0.2 microg/l), but derivatization of the extracts and the short life of derivatives (12-24 h) made the technique tedious and prone to high variations. Although LC-APCI-MS presented coelution of the non-aromatic resin acids, it also showed good sensitivity (limits of detection <3 microg/l) and permitted the detection of resin and fatty acids at microg/l level. In addition, since samples could be directly injected to the chromatographic system, LC-APCI-MS was proven as a powerful technique for quick and unequivocal quality control during papermaking. 相似文献
