We describe progress in the field of tuning, (re)configuration of Photonic crystal (PhC) based devices with a particular emphasis on our recent concepts and techniques that we have developed to tune and/or reconfigure the properties of photonic crystal nanocavities. We show how our hybrid approach based on photosensitive material and tapered silica fiber can tune the (Q, λ) properties of preexisting Photonic crystal cavities. We describe our alternative techniques to create ‘a posteriori’ spatially (re)configurable high‐Q cavities in a PhC platform. We show that optofluidics – the fusion of microfluidics with photonic devices – offers an unquestionable added value to the quest of a truly versatile, (re)configurable photonic crystal based photonic chip.  相似文献

I provide a tour of Madrid, focusing especially on physical institutions that were created during the 19th and 20th centuries.These include the Astronomical Observatory close to the Prado Museum, which itself was conceived as a home for the Royal Academy of Sciences but became instead a world-famous art museum in 1819, leaving the Royal Academy of Sciences without a permanent home until 1866.The Laboratory of Physical Researches was created in 1910, and under the direction of Blas Cabrera (1878–1945), who also held a professorship at the Universidad Central, it fostered most of the Spanish research in physics at the time, in particular the famous spectroscopic researches of Miguel A. Catalán (1894–1957). Nearby were the so-called Transatlantico building and the Students’ Residence where Albert Einstein (1879–1955), for example, lectured in 1923, and which together continue to serve as a major cultural center in Madrid. Later, the physical laboratory was replaced by the National Institute of Physics and Chemistry, which was constructed with funds from the Rockefeller Foundation and inaugurated in 1932. A new University City with its Faculty of Sciences also was constructed on the northwestern outskirts of Madrid, but almost all of its buildings were totally destroyed during the devastating Spanish Civil War of 1936–1939. It was reconstructed after the war and became home, for example, to Spain’s first nuclear reactor, which achieved criticality in 1958.  相似文献

We demonstrate a label swapping technique for differential-phase-shifted-keying (DPSK) encoded labels using synchronous phase modulation (SPM). For the first time label erasure and insertion are performed in a single step without a need for wavelength conversion. The receiver sensitivity penalty of label swapping is limited to 1 dB when the timing mismatch between the new label and old label is kept from −18% to 18%.  相似文献

According to the characteristic of large aperture static interference imaging spectrometer (LASIS), a non-linear orientation prediction three-dimensional (3D) wavelet transform method is proposed in this paper on the basis of the 3D orientation prediction wavelet transform method proposed by Li, Ma and Wu in 2008 [1]. The method proposed in this paper still combines directional prediction into 3D lifting wavelet transformation, but compared with the 3D orientation prediction wavelet transform method, it made a breakthrough in the limitation that the orientation predicted must be a straight linear direction. The experimental results showed that this method improved the performance of wavelet obviously, especially on the LASIS image with quite severe and unstable directional characteristic as seen in the study of Ma and Ma (2009) [2]. Meanwhile, the characteristic of spectrum image recovered by the proposed method also possessed better performance.  相似文献

We find a complete characterization for sets of uniformly strongly elliptic and isotropic conductivities with stable recovery in the L2 norm when the data of the Calderón Inverse Conductivity Problem is obtained in the boundary of a disk and the conductivities are constant in a neighborhood of its boundary. To obtain this result, we present minimal a priori assumptions which turn out to be sufficient for sets of conductivities to have stable recovery in a bounded and rough domain. The condition is presented in terms of the integral moduli of continuity of the coefficients involved and their ellipticity bound as conjectured by Alessandrini in his 2007 paper, giving explicit quantitative control for every pair of conductivities.  相似文献

The interaction between a colloidal particle and a focused laser beam in a nematic liquid crystal reveals an unusual anisotropic Coulomb-like character. Experiments demonstrate two opposite directions in which the particle is attracted to and repelled from the nematic region deformed by the light-induced director reorientation. In this work we present analytical analysis of such behavior and derive the energy of interaction between colloidal particle and deformed director field. The analytical solution is in good agreement with recent results obtained by computer simulation.  相似文献

针对预放大式数字离轴显微全息技术中二次项相位误差,提出一种基于单幅全息再现的补偿方法.该方法是在显微物镜后焦平面处实现该相位误差的数学补偿,相位误差补偿过程具有调整参量单一化的优点.同时,利用显微物镜的后焦平面上物点特征实现了最佳再现距离的自动判断.该文以相位光栅为实验样本,对该方法进行了实验例证,实验结果验证了本文所提出二次项相位误差的补位误差的补偿方法的正确性和有效性.  相似文献
