In this paper, nonclassical light propagation through passive optical coupler is investigated. On the other hand, passive optical device design for nonclassical light is analyzed in this work. Effect of mode mismatching including mismatching in propagation constant on operation of the considered device is studied. We investigate different separable and entangled input excitations with single photons in this case. We specially study the measure of entanglement and effect of propagation constant mismatch on it. The simultaneous effect of loss and mismatch is also studied. Obtained results for different excitation states illustrate that there is a possibility to design such that the system operation can be immune versus fabrication imperfections. 相似文献

The total reflectivity of tin and magnesium in ablation by nanosecond Nd:YAG laser pulses in air is studied. It was found that the high initial reflectivity of the studied metals undergoes a significant drop to values of 0.11 for Sn and 0.16 for Mg within a laser fluence range between about 0.8 and 11 J/cm2. These reduced reflectivity values remain virtually unchanged with further increasing laser fluence. This study shows that a significant reflectivity decrease of the studied metals is caused by plasma formation in front of the irradiated surface. Below the plasma formation threshold, the reflectivity of the studied metals is observed to be virtually independent of laser fluence, indicating a small role of Drude׳s temperature effect on the reflectivity of the studied samples. 相似文献

Ultraviolet (UV) and Deep-UV (DUV, λ<200 nm) nonlinear optical (NLO) materials play a significant role to convert the wavelength of laser for producing UV/DUV coherent light in the laser industry. The Al [Ne]3s23p1 atom with empty d orbitals can form sp3, sp3d, and sp3d2 hybrid orbitals when bonding with O/F atoms, which leads to the construction of [AlOmFn] (m+n=4, 5, 6) units. Therein, aluminoborates have received intensive attention due to the effective structural and functional adjustment effects of the diverse Al−O/F units. Accordingly, numerous aluminoborates as candidates for the next generation of UV/DUV NLO materials were discovered. In this review, recently discovered aluminoborates are overviewed and analyzed, including their syntheses, crystal structure features, and second-order NLO performances. We aim to provide the latest progress and outlook on the crystal chemistry of aluminoborates and boost the finding of the next NLO candidates with high performances. 相似文献

Melt-quenched glasses of organic–inorganic hybrid crystals, i.e., hybrid glasses, have attracted increasing attention as an emerging class of hybrid materials with beneficial processability and formability in the past years. Herein, we present a new hybrid crystal, (Ph3PEt)3[Ni(NCS)5] ( 1 , Ph3PEt+=ethyl(triphenyl)phosphonium), crystallizing in a polar space group P1 and exhibiting thermal-induced reversible crystal-liquid-glass-crystal transitions with relatively low melting temperature of 132 °C, glass-transition temperature of 40 °C, and recrystallization on-set temperature of 78 °C, respectively. Taking advantage of such mild conditions, we fabricated an unprecedented hybrid glass-ceramic thin film, i.e., a thin glass uniformly embedding inner polar micro-crystals, which exhibits a much enhanced intrinsic second-order nonlinear optical effect, being ca. 25.6 and 3.1 times those of poly-crystalline 1 and KH2PO4, respectively, without any poling treatments. 相似文献

A new series of square-pyramidal coordination compounds L·Zn(acac)2 (acac = acetylacetonate; L is a variety of substituted phenylthioureas: p-N,N ′-dimethylaminophenylthiourea 1, p-methoxy-phenylthiourea 2, p-nitrophenylthiourea 3, p-acetylphenylthiourea 4) have been synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR and IR spectra and elemental analysis. Most of these compounds exhibit wide transparent ranges in the visible region. Their electronic spectra have been studied experimentally, and theoretically by ZINDO/S calculation. The MOPAC software package has been used to evaluate their first-order molecular hyperpolarizabilities (β). All β values of the four coordination compounds are greater than or equal to those of p-nitroaniline, and are larger than β values of their corresponding substituted phenthylthiourea ligands. 相似文献
