The effect of tetramethylenedicarboxylic dibenzoylhydrazide (designated here as TMC) on the nonisothermal and isothermal crystallization behavior of PLA was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarized optical microscopy (POM) and wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD). TMC shows excellent nucleating effect on PLA. With the addition of 0.05 wt% TMC, the crystallization half-time of PLA decreases from 26.06 to 6.13 min at 130 °C. The isothermal crystallization data were further analyzed by the Avrami model. The values of the Avrami exponent of the blends are comparable to that of neat PLA, indicating that the presence of TMC does not change the crystallization mechanism of the matrix. The observation from POM and WAXD measurements showed that the presence of TMC increases significantly the nuclei density of PLA but has no discernible effect on its crystalline structure.  相似文献

In recent years, the essential work of fracture (EWF) method has been extensively employed for assessing a material's toughness by specific essential fracture work, especially for polymers showing ductile failure. However, most research has studied either the in-plane stress mode or the out-of-plane stress mode. To obtain a more in-depth understanding of the EWF theory, the specific essential and non-essential fracture work of polypropylene random copolymer (PP-R) was investigated in both in-plane stress mode and out-of-plane stress mode. The effects of ligament length, amount of pre-cracking and pre-cracking method on the specific essential and non-essential fracture work were explored. The law of virtual work (VWL) is probably the first law in the history of mechanics; it is previous to the one on the lever, though not completely distinct from it. Here I will discuss the logical status of VWL, that is whether it is an autonomous principle or a theorem of some sort of mechanics. The problem is complicated by the fact that up to now no universally recognised expression has been accepted for it. From this article the problematical nature of VWL demonstrability is quite clear when the mechanics does not characterise completely the constraints. Italian schools in the XVIII century, even if we do not take Lagrange into consideration, had an important role, both in the development of VWL and in the discussion of its role.  相似文献

The nontrivial behavior of an elastic chain with identical bi-stable elements may be considered prototypical for a large number of nonlinear processes in solids ranging from phase transitions to fracture. The energy landscape of such a chain is extremely wiggly which gives rise to multiple equilibrium configurations and results in a hysteretic evolution and a possibility of trapping. In the present paper, which extends our previous study of the static equilibria in this system (Puglisi and Truskinovsky, J. Mech. Phys. Solids (2000) 1), we analyze the behavior of a bi-stable chain in a soft device under quasi-static loading. We assume that the system is over-damped and explore the variety of available nonequilibrium transformation paths. In particular, we show that the “minimal barrier” strategy leads to the localization of the transformation in a single spring. Loaded periodically, our bi-stable chain exhibits finite hysteresis which depends on the height of the admissible barrier; the cold work/heat ratio in this model is a fixed constant, proportional to the Maxwell stress. Comparison of the computed inner and outer hysteresis loops with recent experiments on shape memory wires demonstrates good qualitative agreement. Finally we discuss a relation between the present model and the Preisach model which is a formal interpolation scheme for hysteresis, also founded on the idea of bi-stability.  相似文献

Bueckner‘s work conjugate integral customarily adopted for linear elastic materials is established for an interface crack in dissimilar anisotropic materials. The difficulties in separating Stroh‘s six complex arguments involved in the integral for the dissimilar materials are overcome and then the explicit function representations of the integral are given and studied in detail. It is found that the pseudo-orthogonal properties of the eigenfunction expansion form (EEF) for a crack presented previously in isotropic elastic cases, in isotopic bimaterial cases, and in orthotropic cases are also valid in the present dissimilar arbitrary anisotropic cases. The relation between Bueckner‘s work conjugate integral and the J-integral in these cases is obtained by introducing a complementary stressdisplacement state. Finally, some useful path-independent integrals and weight functions are proposed for calculating the crack tip parameters such as the stress intensity factors.  相似文献

新型IPTO(Pr Ti O3掺杂In2O3)薄膜的可见光透过率及导电性可与商业化的ITO薄膜媲美。采用双源电子束设备制备了一种新型的IPTO透明导电薄膜,通过开尔文探针法测试,其功函数为5.14 e V。为验证新型IPTO透明导电阳极对有机电致发光器件性能的影响,将IPTO替代商业化ITO作为阳极制备了有机电致发光器件。基于IPTO阳极的器件的亮度最大值为85 140 cd/m2,外量子效率最大值为3.16%,分别为以ITO为阳极的器件的3倍及1.13倍。这种性能的改善是由于IPTO具有较小的表面粗糙度及较高的功函数,可以降低阳极的注入势垒,有利于电荷向有机层注入,改善了器件内的空穴及电子的注入平衡。  相似文献
