Single crystals of triglycine sulphate (TGS) doped with 1 mol% of 4-(dimethylamino) benzaldehyde (DB) have been grown from aqueous solution at ambient temperature by slow evaporation technique. The effect of dopant on the crystal growth and dielectric, pyroelectric and mechanical properties of TGS crystal have been investigated. X-ray powder diffraction pattern for pure and doped TGS was collected to determine the lattice parameters. FTIR spectra were employed to confirm the presence of 4-(dimethylamino) benzaldehyde in TGS crystal, qualitatively. The dielectric permittivity has been studied as a function of temperature by cooling the sample at a rate of 1 °C/min. An increase in the Curie temperature Tc=51 °C (for pure TGS, Tc=48.5 °C) and decrease in maximum permittivity has been observed for doped TGS when compared to pure TGS crystal. Pyroelectric studies on doped TGS were carried out to determine pyroelectric coefficient. The Vickers's hardness of the doped TGS crystals along (0 1 0) face is higher than that of pure TGS crystal for the same face. Domain patterns on b-cut plates were observed using scanning electron microscope. The low dielectric constant, higher pyroelectric coefficient and higher value of hardness suggest that doped TGS crystals could be a potential material for IR detectors.  相似文献

 采用脉冲激光沉积方法在不同衬底温度下制备了最高硬度与弹性模量分别达45 GPa和290 GPa,且表面十分光滑的类金刚石薄膜。在相对湿度为80%的条件下,薄膜最低的摩擦系数与磨损率分别为0.045与5.74×10-10 mm3·N-1·m-1。实验结果表明,硬度与弹性模量随衬底温度升高而降低,摩擦系数与磨损率随衬底温度升高而增大。拉曼光谱表明:在室温下制备的薄膜为典型类金刚石结构,sp3含量高达76.8%,而随温度升高,薄膜结构逐渐经无定形碳结构向纳米晶石墨结构方向发展,sp3含量也随之降低,力学性能变差。  相似文献

Hydroxyapatite (HA) is a bioactive material because its chemical structure is close to the natural bone. Its bioactive properties make it attractive material in biomedical applications. Gas tunnel type plasma spraying (GTPS) technique was employed in the present study to deposit HA coatings on SUS 304 stainless steel substrate. GTPS is composed of two plasma sources: gun which produces internal low power plasma (1.3-8 kW) and vortex which produces the main plasma with high power level (10-40 kW). Controlling the spraying parameters is the key role for spraying high crystalline HA coatings on the metallic implants. In this study, the arc gun current was changed while the vortex arc current was kept constant at 450 A during the spraying process of HA coatings. The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of gun current on the microstructure, phase crystallinity and hardness properties of HA coatings. The surface morphology and microstructure of as-sprayed coatings were examined by scanning electron microscope. The phase structure of HA coatings was investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis. HA coatings sprayed at high gun current (100 A) are dense, and have high hardness. The crystallinity of HA coatings was decreased with the increasing in the gun current. On the other hand, the hardness was slightly decreased and the coatings suffer from some porosity at gun currents 0, 30 and 50 A.  相似文献

Frictional effects on sharp indentation of strain hardening solids are examined in this paper. The results of finite element simulations in a wide range of solids allow us to derive two simplified equations, accounting for the influence of the friction coefficient on hardness. Comparisons between the simulations and instrumented micro-indentation experiments are undertaken to ensure the validity of the former to metallic materials. Quantitative estimates of the role of friction on the development of pileup and sinking-in around the contact boundary are also given in the paper. These results provide a physical insight into the plastic flow features of distinctly different solids brought into contact with sharp indenters. Overall, the investigation shows that the amount of pileup can be used to set the range of validity of the two hardness equations indicated above. Friction has the largest influence on the contact response of solids exhibiting considerable piling-up effects (whose parameter , see text for details), whereas materials developing moderate pileup or sinking-in are less sensitive to friction. Finally, a methodology is devised to assess the influence of the friction coefficient on mechanical properties extracted through indentation experiments.  相似文献

This article provides general information about the aging process of polymer plastics. It also reports the experimental results of investigations undertaken to determine changes in the mechanical properties of polypropylene injection-molded samples with the oxo-biodegradable additive d2w which were subjected to natural aging for two years. A decrease of tensile strength and elongation at yield as well as an increase of hardness were observed during the experiment.  相似文献

The effects of wire feeding direction and position, cladding time, and cladding speed on the quality of cladding layer for laser cladding with wire feeding are studied. Experiment results indicate that the wire feeding direction and position are important for wire laser cladding. By adopting the correct wire feeding direction and position, the wire can be plunged into the melt pool and can be melted by the heat of the molten metal. With the increase of cladding speed, the dilution of clad layer can be reduced and the growth of the grain size of heat-affected zone of the base metal can be limited. If proper cladding parameters are used, the clad layers will have a good surface shape, sound metallurgical bonding with base metal, low dilution, and the effect of heating on heat-affected zone metal can be limited. The hardness of the clad layer and heat-affected zone are checked. It indicates that with the increase of cladding speed, the hardness of the clad layer and heat-affected zone increases.  相似文献

考察了硬度与腐乳白坯中水分含量和蛋白质含量的相关关系,探讨了利用近红外光谱技术检测白坯硬度的可行性。通过水分以及蛋白质的相关吸收峰建立预测白坯硬度的数学模型;在建模过程中重点讨论了多元散射校正(MSC)、一阶求导和波段选择等优化处理对建模的影响,利用偏最小二乘法得到的最优模型的建模相关系数r=0.935,建模标准差RMSEC=0.019 3,预测标准差RMSEP=0.023 6,其分级正确率达到94.72%;利用主成分分析法结合判别分析法建立的定性判别模型,分级正确率也达到了90.12%。上述分级结果均好于感观评价的方法,表明近红外技术可以实现白坯硬度的快速无损检测。  相似文献

Wood is a valuable building material, but it is susceptible to degradation if left unprotected especially when using less durable species. Protection is commonly achieved by applying a suitable finish that should exhibit sufficient penetration, good adhesion and resistance to photo-degradation and weathering. The performance of wood coatings is largely influenced by the adhesion between the coating and substrate and any degradation of the substrate will also affect the coating. The aim of this study was to determine the degree to which the substrate degrades despite the coating and adds to the ageing of the coating from the interface. This effect can be expected to differ for soft- and hardwoods. Coated wood samples from pine and meranti wood - a soft- and hardwood - were irradiated with UV-B light to detect surface changes at various length scales and to assess the impact of the underlying wood substrate on the ageing performance of a commercially available acrylic coating. Surface modifications were determined with atomic force microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, colour spectroscopy, static contact angle and a surface roughness profiler.  相似文献

We studied the effects of binder addition on the mechanical properties of bulk Y–Ba–Cu–O superconductors. We prepared YBa2Cu3Oy, Y2BaCuO5 powders and polyvinyl alcohol mixed with water as a binder. These raw materials were mixed, and the binder-added powders were pressed into pellets. The hardness of the green compacts with binder is higher than that without the binder. However, the hardness of green compacts with 8% binder is the same as that with 4% binder. The maximum compression strength of the precursor with binder is higher than that without binder. Equally, the maximum strength of the green compacts with 8% binder is higher than that with 4% binder. The differential thermal analysis measurements showed that the exothermic reaction due to the decomposition of the organic binder started at 550 °C and gradually proceeded with further heating. After de-binder treatment, BaCO3 powders were produced on the green compacts. The green compacts were subjected to melt-processing. We also measured trapped magnetic fields of binder-added bulk Y–Ba–Cu–O superconductors with a Hall probe scanning device. Trapped magnetic field of the bulk added with 4% is higher than that of the binder-free bulk. Hence, Y–Ba–Cu–O bulk with suitable amount of binder shows good influence for mechanical strength and trapped magnetic field.  相似文献
