CeVO3 nanocrystals were fabricated by sintering CeVO4 precursors in flowing hydrogen. Under an applied field of 20 Oe, a G-type orbital ordering transition, corresponding to the cooperative Jahn-Teller distortion, was enhanced and observed from the magnetization curve of CeVO3 nanorods, different from that of the nanocrystallites. This enhancement of the orbital ordering transition depended on the giant magnetocrystalline anisotropy induced by strong crystallographic anisotropy. Furthermore, a stronger applied field decreased the anisotropy of electronic state induced by spatial shapes of orbitals and confined the cooperative Jahn-Teller distortion by lifting the orbital degeneracy, leading to the suppression of the orbital ordering transition.  相似文献

The structures and magnetocaloric effects of (Gd1−xTbx)Co2 (x=0, 0.25, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, and 1) pseudobinary compounds were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction and magnetic properties measurement. The results show that the Tc of the alloy is near room temperature when X=0.6. The magnetic entropy changes of the compounds increase from 1.7 to 3.6 J/kg K with increasing the content of Tb under an applied field up to 2 T. All the compounds exhibit second order magnetic change. As a result, the values of their ΔSM are lower than that of some large magnetocaloric effect materials.  相似文献

A survey of existing techniques for measuring core loss in magnetic materials is presented. It is shown that the most challenging combination is a low permeability material at low measurement frequency. Such materials have application in components of power converters, and thus are of considerable technological significance. Measurement difficulties stem from losses in the windings employed, which are difficult to disentangle from loss in the core, as well as the stringent requirements on phase accuracy of measurement instruments. Another practical problem is the large power capacity required of the drive source to achieve significant induction levels. A new resonant measurement setup, which we call the “virtual impedance” technique, is proposed as a solution to these problems. Its utility is demonstrated with measurements of a commercial composite core with permeability 14μ0 whose low-core loss defeats conventional methods of measurement.  相似文献

Experimental results are shown of magneto-acoustic emission (MAE) and Barkhausen effect (BE) for two ferritic steel plates of different dimensions. The paper presents preliminary results of modelling the MAE, based on the finite element method (FEM), taking into account the key role of the eddy currents. Explanations are suggested as to the effects of MAE peak maximum growth, shift, as well as the characteristic BE profiles at the bottom of the large plates.  相似文献

M-type strontium ferrites with substitution of Sr2+ by rare-earth La3+, and a little amount of Fe3+ by Co2+ according to the formula Sr1−xLaxFe12−xCoxO19, are prepared by the ceramic process. Effects of the substituted amount of La3+ and Co2+ on structure and magnetic properties of Sr1−xLaxFe12−xCoxO19 compounds have systematically been investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and B–H hysteresis curve measurements. In our results, the suitable amount of La3+–Co2+ substitution may remarkably increase saturation magnetization. Intrinsic coercive force (Hcj) of Sr ferrite magnets is evidently increased without significant decrease in residual flux density (Br) by La3+–Co2+ substitution.  相似文献

The magnetic and transport properties in the perovskite Sr1−xLaxFe1−xMnxO3 have been explored. As x rises, the systemic ferromagnetism increases gradually and cluster-spin-glass state occurs in the low-temperature region. For 0.3?x?0.7, the ferromagnetic phase separation from the paramagnetic phase was observed from the results of electron-spin-resonance measurement. Although all samples show a semiconducting behavior, their transport properties are dominated by two different mechanisms, namely, the electronic transport of x?0.5 samples is realized by thermal activation but the variable-range hopping is applied in x?0.7 ones. The different transport mechanism can be understood from the Mn/Fe ions interaction.  相似文献

Li0.5Fe2.5−xMnxO4 (0≦x≦1.0) powders with small and uniformly sized particles were successfully synthesized by microwave-induced combustion, using lithium nitrate, ferric nitrate, manganese nitrate and carbohydrazide as the starting materials. The process takes only a few minutes to obtain as-received Mn-substituted lithium ferrite powders. The resultant powders annealed at 650 °C for 2 h and were investigated by thermogravimeter/differential thermal analyzer (TG/DTA), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and thermomagnetic analysis (TMA). The results revealed that the Mn content were strongly influenced the magnetic properties and Curie temperature of Mn-substituted lithium ferrite powder. As for sintered Li0.5Fe2.5−xMnxO4 specimens, substituting an appropriate amount of Mn for Fe in the Li0.5Fe2.5−xMnxO4 specimens markedly improved the complex permeability and loss tangent.  相似文献

Using vibrating sample magnetometery (VSM) 50 MeV Li3+ ion irradiation effects on magnetic properties of single crystals of SrGaxInyFe12−(x+y)O19 (where x=0, 5, 7, 9; y=0, 0.8, 1.3, 1.0), are reported. The substitution of Ga and In in strontium hexaferrite crystals decreases the value of magnetization sharply, which is attributed to shifting of collinear magnetic order to a non-collinear one. Reduction of magnetization is also explained to be as a result of the occupation of the crystallographic sites of Fe3+ by Ga3+ and In3+. The Li3+ ion irradiation decreases the value of magnetization, irrespective of whether the crystals are Ga–In substituted or unsubstituted crystals of SrFe12O19. The result is interpreted in terms of the occurrence of a paramagnetic doublet in crystals replacing magnetic sextuplet as a result of irradiation. Substitution of Ga–In in Strontium hexaferrite decreases the value of anisotropy constant. Irradiation with Li3+ ions increases the values of anisotropy field for both substituted as well as unsubstituted crystals. Substitution with Ga–In also decreases the Curie temperature (Tc) but the irradiation with Li3+ ions does not affect the curie temperature of either Ga–In substituted or pure SrFe12O19 crystals.  相似文献

Magneto-optical investigations carried out on a Co-rich glass-covered amorphous microwire is presented. The appearance of circular magnetic bistability and the influence of tensile stress and high-frequency electric current on the surface magnetization reversal have been studied.
