Optical pulse shaper with integrated slab waveguide for arbitrary waveform generation using optical gradient force 下载免费PDF全文
Integrated optical pulse shaper opens up possibilities for realizing the ultra high-speed and ultra wide-band linear signal processing with compact size and low power consumption. We propose a silicon monolithic integrated optical pulse shaper using optical gradient force, which is based on the eight-path finite impulse response. A cantilever structure is fabricated in one arm of the Mach–Zehnder interferometer(MZI) to act as an amplitude modulator. The phase shift feature of waveguide is analyzed with the optical pump power, and five typical waveforms are demonstrated with the manipulation of optical force. Unlike other pulse shaper schemes based on thermo–optic effect or electro–optic effect, our scheme is based on a new degree of freedom manipulation, i.e., optical force, so no microelectrodes are required on the silicon chip,which can reduce the complexity of fabrication. Besides, the chip structure is suitable for commercial silicon on an insulator(SOI) wafer, which has a top silicon layer of about 220 nm in thickness. 相似文献

We propose a potential quantum-computer hardware-architecture model on a silicon chip in which the basic cell gate is the atom-photon controlled phase flip gate. This gate can be implemented through a single-photon pulses scattering by a toroidal microcavity trapping a neutral atom, and it does not require very strict strong-coupling regime and can work beyond the Lamb-Dicke limit with high fidelity and success probability under practical noise environments. Especially, good and bad losses of the toroidal cavity are discussed in detail. Finally, a possibly simple experiment based on current experimental technology is proposed to demonstrate our scheme. 相似文献

We propose novel double-notch-shaped microdisk resonator-based devices with gapless waveguide-to- microdisk and inter-cavity coupling via the two notches of the microdisk. Both finite-difference time- domain simulations and experimental demonstrations reveal the high-quality-factor multimode resonances in such microdisks. Using such double-notch mierodisk resonators, we experimentally demonstrate the many-element linearly cascaded-microdisk resonator devices with up to 50 elements on a silicon chip. 相似文献

设计了用对角为 18mm的微电子硅芯片液晶显示器、6 0°视场角的反射中继头盔显示系统。该系统由一个常用的艾尔弗 (Erfle)接目镜和一个反射中继镜组成。反射中继镜和接目镜的场曲异号 ,因此相互部分抵消 ,系统具有较小的场曲和像散。中继系统的采用 ,不仅保证了头盔显示的特定规格要求 ,诸如出瞳直径和出瞳距离 ,而且为反射式微电子硅芯片液晶显示器的照明光源提供了空间。该系统像差较小 ,尺寸和重量合理 ,适用于特定用途的头盔显示 相似文献
