In this paper, we propose a genetic algorithm‐based wavelength selection (GAWLS) method for visible and near‐infrared (Vis/NIR) spectral calibration. The objective of GAWLS is to construct robust and predictive regression models by selecting informative wavelength regions. To demonstrate the ability of the proposed method, regression models for soil properties and sugar content of apples are constructed by using GAWLS and other variable selection methods. In this paper dynamic routing and wavelength assignment strategies have been proposed for multiclass WDM optical networks. Multiclass optical networks provide multiple classes of services to the subscriber according to the requirement, which in turn increase operational profitability. Each class of service could be characterized by parameters like number of wavelengths, expected call holding time and average arrival rate of request. The proposed strategies have been analyzed and compared with existing strategies on the basis of blocking probabilities for multiclass traffic scenarios. Simulation results on different network topologies demonstrate that the performance of proposed strategies “Fixed shortest/alternate shortest path routing with wavelength reservation (FSASWR)” and “Fixed alternate shortest path routing with least priority wavelength assignment (FASPL)” are much better as compared to existing strategies. We have found that the photoluminescence (PL) intensity of CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals placed on a thin film of insulator (GaAsOx/GaAs) depends on excitation wavelength through the interference effects of the excitation light. By employing the multi-reflection/interference calculation, the insulator thickness of the underlying non-uniform patterns can be evaluated by the simple observation of CdSe/ZnS PL with a couple of excitation wavelengths. Moreover, the differences observed for the temporal evolution of CdSe/ZnS PL (blue shifts and degradation) among the excitation wavelengths suggest that the photo-induced changes of chemical composition and surface ligands are responsible for blue shifts and degradation, respectively. 相似文献

An 80 nm bandwidth long wavelength erbium-doped fiber amplifier using a seed light injection method is designed.It is shown that when the wavelength of the seed beam varies from 1520 nm to 1570 nm,the gain at 1610 nm increases and reaches maximum near 1553 nm and then decreases.The gain increases with the seed light power.With the seed light ,the long wavelength Erbium-doped fiber amplifier has 80 nm bandwidth (1570~1650 nm),30 dB gain and noise figure less than 5.0 dB. 相似文献
