NUMERICAL VERIFICATION METHODS FOR SOLUTIONS OF ORDINARY AND PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

In this article, we describe on a state of the art of validated numerical computations for solutions of differential equations. A brief overview of the main techniques for self-validating numerics for initial and boundary value problems in ordinary and partial differential equations including eigenvalue problems will be presented. A fairly detailed introductions are given for the author's own method related to second-order elliptic boundary value problems. Many references which seem to be useful for readers are supplied at the end of the article.

The importance of short structural motifs in protein structure analysis

Summary Proteins tend to use recurrent structural motifs on all levels of organization. In this paper we first survey the topics of recurrent motifs on the local secondary structure level and on the global fold level. Then, we focus on the intermediate level which we call the short structural motifs. We were able to identify a set of structural building blocks that are very common in protein structure. We suggest that these building blocks can be used as an important link between the primary sequence and the tertiary structure. In this framework, we present our latest results on the structural variability of the extended strand motifs. We show that extended strands can be divided into three distinct structural classes, each with its own sequence specificity. Other approaches to the study of short structural motifs are reviewed.     

强潮地区桥墩局部冲刷模型验证方法研究——以杭州湾跨海大桥桥墩局部冲刷研究为例

从建立强潮地区桥墩局部冲刷模型的重要性出发,简要介绍了通过水槽试验所建立的杭州湾跨海大桥局部冲刷模型.强潮特性使得杭州湾跨海大桥桥墩局部冲刷的实际数据获取难度较大,据此提出了基于海底声学探测技术的数据获取方案,即利用多波束测深技术进行桥墩局部海床高程测量、利用多普勒声学测量技术进行潮流测量等,同时结合底质钻孔取样进行底质分析.在介绍了实测数据的处理方法后,结合桥墩设计资料进行了模型参数的计算及模型验证,并根据桥墩实际情况对验证结果进行了相关分析,最后肯定了本方案对于强潮地区进行桥墩局部冲刷观测的适用性.     

轻质油料电导率仪检定方法研究

叙述轻质油料电导率仪的检定原理及检定方法。采用高阻结合标准物质的方法解决了轻质油料电导率仪无法检定的问题。     

多程激光放大系统光传输程序的改进和校核

 报道了高功率激光多程放大系统光束传输程序的改进。在该程序中全面考虑了影响激光传输和放大的诸多重要因素。给出典型的计算实例,并用劳仑兹·利弗莫尔国家实验室的实验和模拟数据对程序进行了系统校核,证实了该改进程序的正确性和优点。     

转动惯量平行轴定理验证实验的改进方案

本文介绍了一种刚体转动惯量平行轴定理验证实验的改进方案.该方案通过调节对称放置在承物台上的两个钢柱到仪器转轴的距离来改变系统的转动惯量,使得总转动惯量可以在较大的范围内改变,并且始终保持了系统质量的对称性分布,从而有效地减小了实验的相对误差,提高了实验结果的可信度.     

关于变分不等式问题近似解的数值证明

基于文献[1]给出了一种数值证明变分不等式解的存在性方法。通过Hilbert空间中的Riesz表示定理,首先将变分不等式问题的迭代过程转化为一种不动点形式,再利用Schauder不动点定理构造了一个高效率的数值证明过程,即通过数值计算产生一个包含近似解的有界闭凸子集。非线性Helmholtz方程的算例说明这一方法的可行性和高效性。     

放疗3D剂量验证系统中光场相机点扩散函数获取

基于闪烁光场成像的放疗新型3D剂量测量中,需利用点扩散函数将每一个二维平面的真实闪烁光数据从重叠图像中提取出来.利用刀口法,结合光场数字重聚焦以及聚焦测距法,实验获取光场相机不同重聚焦位置处的点扩散函数,并给出棋盘格标定板在参数α=0.6时的重聚焦面聚焦在α=0.7位置处的高斯离焦点扩散函数表达式,研究光场相机点扩散函...     

Interferometric moiré pattern encoded security holograms with concealed phase object

This paper describes an interferometry-based scheme for concealing phase objects in a security hologram. The decoding process is based on geometrical moiré technique and requires a key for hologram authenticity verification. Decoding process is straightforward and could be carried out in white light, making it suitable for validation of security holograms. The method is described and experimental results are presented.
