We present results of calculations and experiments on electron–hole complexes in InGaAs/GaAs self-assembled quantum dots in high magnetic field (B). Due to hidden symmetries, the chemical potential of an N-exciton system at special B fields becomes insensitive to the exciton number as well as the magnetic field. This results in plateau regions of high intensity in measured magneto-PL spectrum. Theoretical calculations using exact diagonalization techniques successfully explain the measured magneto-photoluminescence spectrum with B fields up to 28 T. 相似文献

57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy is used to study the interactions, geometry, and the coordination characteristics of the Fe-complexes of biopolymers such as chitosan, glucosamine, and chondritin sulfate. In addition, a computational effort is undertaken for predicting the geometries and energies of the metal complexes by the Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods as implemented in the Gaussian 2003 quantum mechanical program. Both experimental and computational results suggest that the structure of the metal complexes resemble closely the structure of the active sites of metalloenzymes in 2+ or 3+ oxidation states and is at least tetracoordinated and can possibly have six ligands. 相似文献

Emission Mössbauer spectroscopy with the 57Co isotope was used to study very dilute rapidly frozen aqueous solutions of cobalt(II) complexes with low-molecular-weight biomolecules (aromatic amino acids – anthranilic acid and L-tryptophan) and within a sophisticated biopolymer, bacterial glutamine synthetase, a key enzyme of nitrogen metabolism. Abstract Fourier transform infrared (4000-200 cm1) and Raman (3500-50 cm?1) spectra are reported for metal(II) halide 3,5-lutidine (3,5-dimethylpyridine) complexes of the following stoichiometries: M(3,5L)4X2 M=Co or Ni, X=C1 or Br; M=Mn or Cu, X=Br; M=Cd, X=I; M(3,5L)3X2 M=Fe, X=C1; M=Cu, X=Br; Hg(3,5L) X2 X=C1 or Br. Vibrational assignments are given for all the observed bands. Some structure- spectra correlations are found. For a given series of isomorphous complexes the sum of the difference between the liquid and ligand values of the vibrational modes of 3,5-lutidine is found to increase in the order of the second ionization potentials of the metals. Hydrogen storage reactions on Pd-doped C60 fullerene are investigated by using the state-of-the-art density functional theory calculations. The Pd atom prefers to bind at the bridge site between two hexagonal rings, and can bind up to four hydrogen molecules with average adsorption energies of 0.61, 0.45, 0.32, and 0.21 eV per hydrogen molecule. With no metal clustering, the system gravimetric capacities are expected to be as large as 5.8 wt%. While the desorption activation barriers of the complexes nH2 + Pd–C60 with n = 1 are outside the department of energy (DOE) domain (?0.2 to ?0.6 eV), the desorption activation barriers of the complexes nH2 + Pd–C60 with n = 2–4 are inside this domain. While the interaction of 1H2 with Pd + C60 is irreversible at 459 K, the interaction of 2H2 with Pd + C60 is reversible at 529 K. The hydrogen storage of the irreversible 1H2 + Pd–C60 and reversible 2H2 + Pd–C60 interactions are characterised in terms of densities of states, infrared, Raman, and proton magnetic resonance spectra, electrophilicity, and statistical thermodynamic stability. 相似文献

Ortho phthalic anhydride was modified with long chain alcohol (1-docosanol) to its corresponding monodocosyl phthalate (22-Phth). Subsequently, three novel lanthanide (Eu3+, Tb3+, and Dy3+) complexes with the long chain monodocosyl phthalate were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and Infrared spectra. The photophysical properties of these complexes were studied in detail with ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra, low temperature phosphorescence spectra and fluorescent spectra. The triplet state energy of 22-Phth was determined to be around 25,000 cm−1 from the maximum phosphorescent peak at 400 nm, suggesting 22-Phth is suitable for the sensitization of the luminescence of Eu3+, Tb3+, and Dy3+. The fluorescence excitation and emission spectra for these lanthanide complexes of the three ligands take agreement with the above predict from energy match principle. 相似文献
