Influence of Nucleation Agents Concentration on Crystallization Structure and Properties of Glass-ceramics

Deep color glass-ceramics is prepared by using gold tailings as the main raw material, and Cr2O3 is added as nucleation agent. Influence of different Cr2O3 additions on crystallization structure and properties of CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 glass-ceramics has been discussed so as to select optimum additions. DTA is employed to determine optimum crystallization and nucleation temperatures; XRD and SEM are used to characterize microstructure of each sample; and performance indexes, such as water absorption, bulk density, flexural strength and so on, are also determined. Experimental results show that when 3wt% Cr2O3 is introduced, fine glass-ceramics with diopside as the main crystal and Ca-Fe diopside as the second-crystal is obtained, and its corresponding performance indexes are as follows: water absorption 0.12%, bulk density 2.56 g/cm3, and flexural strength 70.01 Mpa.     

Influence of Fe2O3 and V2O5 on Crystalline Structure of Mg-Al Spinel Synthesized by Waste Aluminum Slag

Mg-Al spinel is synthesized by using industrial waste-residue and basic magnesium carbonate in the aluminum factory as the main raw materials. The influence of V2O5 and Fe2O3 mineralizers on the structure, cell parameters and microscopic morphology of synthesized Mg-Al spinel has been discussed. The Mg-Al spinel is characterized by using XRD, SEM and relevant analytical software, such as Philips plus, Rietveld quantification and so on. The experimental results show that certain amounts of V2O5 and Fe2O3 are beneficial to the formation of Mg-Al spinel, and the optimum addition of V2O5 and Fe2O3 is respectively 2wt% and 3wt%. V2O5 has few effects on cell parameters of Mg-Al spinel; but Fe2O3 can form solid solution with Mg-Al spinel in which Mg-Fe spinel can also dissolve to form continuous solid solution. Therefore, with the increase of Fe2O3 content, the cell parameters of Mg-Al approximately present linear increase.     

Theoretical Study on the Hetero-Diels-Alder Reactions between 3-Pyridinedithioesters and 1-Phenylsulfanylbutadiene

The mechanism, catalytic effect and solvent effect of the hetero-Diels-Alder reac- tions between 3-pyridinedithioesters and 1-phenylsulfanylbutadiene have been studied theoretically using density functional theory (DFT) at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level. The results show that all of these reactions proceed in a concerted but asynchronous way. In some reactions the formation of C-S bond is prior to that of C-C bond and the opposite results are found in other reactions. The BF3 catalyst may lower the activation barriers by changing the energies of LUMO for 3-pyridine- dithioester. THF solvent has trivial influence on the potential energy surface of these reactions. With the BF3-catalyzed reactions, regioselectivity and stereoselectivity observed experimentally were predicted correctly by calculations and these results originate probably from C-H···F interaction in two transition states.     

Growth, Band Structure and Optical Properties of LiSrBO3 Crystal

The bulk crystal of LiSrBO3 (8.39 g) with a size of 21mm×20mm×15mm was grown by high temperature solution growth method. The relationship between growth habit and crystal structure was discussed. The transmission spectrum shows an UV absorption edge at about 300 nm. The melting temperature of this crystal was determined to be 942 ℃ by DTA-TG measurement. The band structure of the LiSrBO3 crystal was studied by means of the first principle method. An indirect band gap was found to be about 4.0 eV,and a low dielectric constant was estimated to be about 1.9 in terms of theoretical results.     

KINETIC ANALYSIS OF CO-CONDENSATION POLYMERIZATION OF AB2 AND AB MONOMERS

This work deals with the kinetics of co-condensation polymerization of AB2 and AB monomers, giving expressions of the two-dimensional molecular weight distribution function and the number/weight average molecular weights of the resulting copolymers. The two-dimensional molecular weight distribution depends on two indices, n and l, which are the respective numbers of AB2 and AB units in a copolymer species. The evolution of the two-dimensional weight and z distributions during the co-condensation polymerization has been evaluated systematically. Finally, the two-dimensional distribution was transformed into a one-dimensional molecular weight distribution with only one variable (the molecular weight of the products instead of the degree of polymerization). The calculated results show that the highly branched copolymer has a very broad molecular weight distribution when the co-condensation polymerization approaches completion.     

SYNTHESIS OF CROSS-CONJUGATED （p-PHENYLENE）S-POLY（p- PHENYLENEVINYLENE）S HYBRIDS WITH LOW CONTENT OF STRUCTURAL DEFECTS

The novel shish-kebab-type liquid crystalline cross-conjugated （p-phenylene）s-poly（p-phenylenevinylene）s hybrid was synthesized through Gilch polymerization. Their structures and properties were characterized by NMR, GPC, DSC, X-ray diffraction and polarizing optical microscope （POM）. ^1H-NMR investigation of the polymers indicates that the shish-kebab-structure has a strong ability to suppress the structural defects in the polymers. The polymers are enantiotropic liquid crystals. The melting point （Tm） of the polymers decreases when the length of the alkoxy tails of the mesogenic units increases. The mesophase was identified by X-ray diffraction method. They showed not only a smectic LC phase, but also a strong green fluorescence in chloroform. The maximum absorption band of the ＂kebabs＂ of the two, 5-bis（4＇- alkoxyphenyl）benzene at 280 nm did not appear in absorption spectra of the polymers. The same phenomena were also observed in the fluorescence spectra. These results imply that the polymers have formed a cross-conjugated uniform structure and achieved an extended n-conjugation polymer.     

MULTILINEAR CALDER(O)N-ZYGMUND OPERATOR ON MORREY TYPE SPACES——In Memory of Professor Yongsheng Sun

In this paper, the authors study the boundedness of a class of multi-sublinear operators on the product of Morrey, Herz-Morrey and generalized Morrey spaces, respectively. As their special cases, the corresponding results of multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operator can be obtained.     

Theoretical calculation of energy levels and radiative lifetimes of Tl I

Considering the perturbation, the results of theoretical calculation of five Rydberg series energy levels 6s2ns^2S1/2 （n = 7 - 20）, 6s^2nd^2D3/2 （n = 6 - 20）, 6s^2nd^2D5/2 （n = 6 - 20）, 6s^2np^2P1/2^0 （n = 7- 20）, and 6s^2np^2P3/2^0 （n = 7-20） for Tl I are presented using the weakest bound electron potential model （WBEPM） theory. Furthermore, the radiative lifetimes of this five series are also calculated. The calculated values of energy levels and lifetimes are in good agreement with the experimental results.
