A multiresidue method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of sulfadiazine, sulfathiazole, sulfapyridine, sulfamerazine, sulfamethoxydiazine, sulfamethylthiazole, sulfamethazine, sulfamonomethoxine, sulfamethoxypyridazine, sulfisoxazole, sulfamethoxazole, sulfadimethoxine and sulfaquinoxaline in natural animal casings by HPLC after solid-phase extraction. The sulfonamides were extracted with acetonitrile and the extract cleaned up with an Oasis MCX SPE cartridge prior to analysis. Separation was on a ZOBAX Eclipse XDB-C8 column using gradient elution with acetonitrile/methanol/0.1% acetic acid. The effect of separation conditions on chromatographic behavior and recovery has been studied. Calibration graphs were linear with very good correlation coefficients (r = 0.9983−0.9996) in the concentration range from 0.02 to 1 μg mL−1. The limits of quantitation (LOQ) for the 13 sulfonamides were in the range of 1.5–2.2 μg kg−1. Decision limits (CCα) and detection capabilities (CCβ) were in the range of 105.2–111.0 and 113.0–120.2 μg kg−1, respectively. The recovery for casings spiked with 1.5–100 μg kg−1 ranged from 65.2 to 85.9%. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) of the sulfonamides for six measurements at 100 μg kg−1 were from 2.2 to 7.7%. The applicability of the method to the analysis of salted swine casings, salted sheep casings and dry casing samples was demonstrated.  相似文献

A new micelle-mediated phase preconcentration method for preconcentration of ultra-trace quantities of beryllium as a prior step to its determination by spectrophotometry has been developed. Chrome Azurol S (CAS) and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) were used as chelating agent and cationic surfactant, respectively. The method evaluates and eliminates the blank bias error present in such procedures using mean centering of ratio spectra. This procedure gives more accurate results than the traditional approach using absorbance values against reagent blank. The optimal extraction and reaction conditions were studied and the analytical characteristics of the method (e.g., limit of detection, linear range, preconcentration and improvement factors) were obtained. Linearity was obeyed in the range of 0.9-18.0 ng mL−1 (1.00 × 10−7-2.00 × 10−6 mol L−1) of beryllium. The detection limit of the method is 0.51 ng mL−1 (5.66 × 10−8 mol L−1) of beryllium. The interference effect of some anions and cations was also tested. The method was applied to the determination of beryllium in spring water samples.  相似文献

The complexing (in CHCl3) and extracting abilities of 18-crown-6 type compounds (1–15) were measured with Li, Na, K and NH4 cations. The substituents on the sugar part affected these properties significantly (K a=103–107). Some substituents, like acetyloxy groups (3) decreased whereas others, like tosyloxy groups (10, 11) significantly increased the complexing ability and thus changed the selectivity. The compound with four tosyloxy groups (11) shows an excellent picrate salt extracting ability in a CH2Cl2-water system.  相似文献

A one-step solid-phase extraction procedure, based on a new silica gel adsorbent modified with cholesterol groups, has been investigated for measurement of cotinine in urine. Cotinine is the main metabolite of nicotine in the human body and is analyzed as a biomarker for assessment of direct or passive exposure to tobacco smoke. New cholesterol-modified adsorbents have been obtained by chemical modification of silica gel of different porosity with cholesterol ligands. Although recovery by this extraction procedure were optimum over a relatively broad range of sample pH (3.1–8.0), analytical conditions such as sample loading, washing and elution conditions, concentration of cotinine to be extracted, and the type of adsorbent used for extraction were found to affect the efficiency of the procedure and had to be controlled for optimum recovery. When these conditions were controlled, recovery of cotinine from spiked human urine was reproducible and depended on compound ionization. Quantitative analysis of cotinine was performed by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with UV detection. Silica gel-loaded (E)-N-(1-thien-2'-ylethylidene)-1,2-phenylenediamine (TEPDA) phase was synthesized based on physical adsorption approaches. The stability of a chemically modified TEPDA especially in concentrated hydrochloric acid that was then used as a recycling and preconcentration reagent allowed the further uses of silica gel-loaded immobilized TEPDA phase. The application of this silica gel-loaded phase to sorption of a series of metal ions was performed by using different controlling factors such as the pH of the metal ion solution and the equilibration shaking time by the static technique. This difference was interpreted on the basis of selectivity incorporated in these sulfur containing silica gel-loaded TEPDA phases. Hg(Ⅱ) was found to exhibit the highest affinity towards extraction by these silica gel-loaded TEPDA phases. The pronounced selectivity was also confirmed by the determined distribution coefficients (Kd) of all the metal ions, showing the highest value reported for mercury(Ⅱ) extraction by the silica gel immobilized TEPDA phase. The potential applications of the silica gel immobilized TEPDA phase to selective extraction of mercury(Ⅱ) from aqueous solution were successfully accomplished and preconcentration of low concentration of Hg(Ⅱ) (30 pg·mL^-1) from natural tap water with a preconcentration factor of 200 for Hg(Ⅱ) off-line analysis was conducted by cold vapor atomic absorption analysis.  相似文献

Components of hamster feces ranging from low molecular weight fatty acids through the expected range of triglycerides have been eluted in a single SFC run with simultaneous pressure and temperature programming. Temperature programming from 140°C to 240°C was required to provide optimum conditions for separation of the fatty acids and to move the elution region of the sterol esters away from that of the triglycerides. Data from chemical ionization and electron impact mass spectrometry of compounds separated by SFC were used to confirm identities suggested by retention measurements and to provide tentative identities of unknown compounds. SFC with flame ionization detection was used to compare Soxhlet extraction, off-line supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), and on-line SFE of the feces. Although samples obtained by Soxhlet extraction and SFE produced very similar chromatograms, SFE required far less time and consumed much smaller quantities of organic solvent.  相似文献

The main principles of solid-phase extraction techniques are reviewed in this paper. Various solid sorbents can be used as a suitable trap for direct accumulation of organic compounds from aqueous solutions. The trapped analytes can be desorbed by elution with suitably chosen liquid phases. These preconcentration procedures can be considered as low performance liquid chromatography and the efficiency of the procedure can thus be related to the retention characteristics of the preconcentration column. The main sorbents used for trace enrichment purposes are also reviewed. Besides, the concise methodology, sample storage, and automation are discussed. The advantages of solid phase extraction as compared to liquid-liquid extraction are given as well as some drawbacks of this method.  相似文献

The sequential extraction methods according to Tessier et al. [1], Borovec et al. [2], Zhang and Moore [3] and Hall et al. [4] have been tested for their suitability for arsenic fractionation in samples of artificially prepared mineral mixtures. Mixtures containing different amounts of As-containing phases were prepared so that their compositions corresponded to weathering products on As-bearing ore deposits. A comparison of different procedures on simple mineral mixtures containing calcium arsenate (CaHAsO4·H2O), As-bearing goethite (FeOOH) and arsenopyrite (FeAsS) showed that only the results of the Hall method satisfactorily correspond to the expected arsenic distribution. A detailed verification of the Hall method was subsequently carried out on most complex synthetic mineral mixtures with varying amounts of As-containing kaolinite and carbonate, calcium arsenate, As-bearing goethite and arsenopyrite. The results confirm that the Hall method cannot be fully employed for an accurate As speciation but may be applied for a route identification of As distribution between "labile", "medium-labile" and "residual" forms in heavily polluted soils.  相似文献
