A series of monoester catalysts has been studied, each catalyst prepared by the reaction of magnesium diethoxide with benzoyl chloride [BzCOCl, to produce ethyl benzoate (EB) in situ] in the presence of excess titanium tetrachloride. Solid product and catalysts obtained by subsequent treatments with titanium tetrachloride were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, BET measurement, and thermal gravimetric analysis. The catalysts yielded very high activity (above 20 kg polymer/g Ti h atm) for the polymerization of propylene in slurry reactions. From the results of polymerization as well as catalyst characterization, the effects of internal and external Lewis bases on the isospecificity and stability of catalysts are discussed in detail. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

We describe a method to improve the resolution of donor-to-acceptor distance distributions in molecules which are flexing on the timescale of the fluorescence lifetime. We measured the timedependent donor decays of two donor (D)-acceptor (A) pairs, where the donor lifetimes were substantially different. The donors were an indole residue (5.7 ns) and a naphthalene residue (24.4 ns). The same dansyl acceptor was used for both D-A pairs. The donor decays are complex due to both a distribution of D-A distances and D-A diffusion. Using the donor decay data for each D-A pair alone, it is difficult to resolve both the distance distribution and the D-to-A diffusion coefficient. However, these values are unambiguously recovered from global analysis of the data from both D-A pairs. The increased resolution from the global analysis is apparently the result of the complementary information content of the data for each D-A pair. The shorter-lived indole donor provides more information on the time-zero distance distribution because there is less time for D-A diffusion, and the longer-lived naphthyl donor is quenched to a greater extent than indole due to the longer time for diffusion-enhanced energy transfer. Simulations were also used to demonstrate the increased resolution of global analysis with different lifetime donors to obtain distance distribution parameters in the presence of D-A diffusion.  相似文献

A series of novel aza-BODIPY dyes substituted with p-(dimethylamino)phenyl groups were synthesized and their spectral and electrochemical properties were compared. In particular, the impact of p-(Me2N)Ph- groups on these characteristics was of consideration. For two aza-BODIPYs studied, a near-IR absorption band was observed at circa λabs=796 nm. Due to the pronounced intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) exerted by the presence of strongly electron-donating p-(Me2N)Ph- substituents, the compounds studied were weakly emissive with the singlet lifetimes (τS) in the picosecond range. Nanosecond laser photolysis experiments of the brominated aza-BODIPYs revealed T1→Tn absorption spanning from ca. 350 nm to ca. 550 nm with the triplet lifetimes (τT) ranged between 6.0 μs and 8.5 μs. The optical properties of the aza-BODIPYs studied were pH-sensitive. Upon protonation of the dimethylamino groups with trifluoroacetic acid in toluene, a stepwise disappearance of the NIR absorption band at λabs=790 nm was observed with the concomitant appearance of a blue-shifted absorption band at λabs=652 nm, which was accompanied by a prominent emission band at λfl=680 nm. The transformation from a non-emissive to an emissive compound is associated with the inhibition of the ICT. As estimated by CV/DPV measurements, all aza-BODIPYs studied exhibited two irreversible oxidation and two quasi-reversible reduction processes. All compounds studied exhibit extremely high photostability and thermal stability.  相似文献

The density of donor impurity states in a square GaAs–AlGaAs quantum well under an intense laser field is calculated taking into account the laser dressing effects on both the Coulomb potential and the confining potential. Using the effective-mass approximation within a variational scheme, the donor binding energy is obtained as a function of the laser dressing parameter, and the impurity position. Our results point out that a proper consideration of the density of impurity states may be of relevance in the interpretation of the optical phenomena related to shallow impurities in quantum wells, where the effects of an intense laser field compete with the quantum confinement.  相似文献

In this work, the change of reactivity induced by the introduction of two para-ethynyl substituents (CCSi(iPr)3 or CCH) to the organic electron-donor 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(tetramethylguanidino)-benzene is evaluated. The redox-properties and redox-state dependent fluorescence are evaluated, and dinuclear CuI and CuII complexes synthesized. The Lewis-acidic B(C6F5)3 substitutes the proton of the ethynyl −CCH groups to give new anionic −CCB(C6F5)3 substituents, leading eventually to a novel dianionic strong electron donor in its diprotonated form. Its two-electron oxidation with dioxygen in the presence of a copper catalyst yields the first redox-active guanidine that is neutral (instead of cationic) in its oxidized form.  相似文献

Starting from the tripodal tetradentate ligands ‐(3,5‐dibromo‐2‐hydroxybenzyl)(2‐hydroxybenzyl)(2‐pyridyl)methylamine (H2L1), (3,5‐dibromo‐2‐hydroxybenzyl)(2‐hydroxy‐5‐nitrobenzyl)(2‐pyridyl)methylamine (H2L2), and (3,5‐dichloro2‐hydroxybenzyl)(2‐hydroxy‐5‐nitrobenzyl)(2‐pyridyl)methylamine (H2L3) the new isostructural dinuclear zinc compounds [Zn2(L1)2]·N(CH2CH3)3 ( 1 ), [Zn2(L2)2]·2CH3OH ( 2 ) and [Zn2(L3)2]·C4H10O ( 3 ) were synthesized. Due to their enzyme‐like trigonal bipyramidal N2O3 coordination environment of the zinc ions and the similar Zn···Zn distances the complexes can be considered to be structural models for the active sites in phospholipase C and nuclease P1. With H2L3 also the dinuclear complex [Co2(L2)2(CH3OH)]·2CH3OH·0.5C4H10O ( 4 ) could be prepared. The new compounds were isolated and characterized by single crystal X‐ray crystallography as well as infrared spectroscopy. The cobalt compound 4 was additionally characterized by UV‐Vis spectroscopy and magnetic measurements. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a = 11.2814(2), b = 28.6154(2), c = 13.1866(3) Å, β = 96.995(1)°, V = 4225.2(2) Å3, Z = 4. 2 and 3 are monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 23.084(5), b = 9.232(2), c = 21.849(4) Å, &β; = 96.83(3)°, V = 4623(2) Å3, Z = 4, and a = 22.7834(3), b = 9.2463(1), c = 21.6351(3) Å, &β; = 97.592(1)°, V = 4517.7(2) Å3, Z = 4, respectively. 4 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group I2/a with a = 22.4680(4), b = 20.5517(4), c = 22.8910(6) Å, &β; = 111.938(1)°, V = 9804.7(4) Å3, Z = 8. 4 shows an effective magnetic moment of 6.72 μB at 300 K which clearly indicates the presence of two cobalt(II) high spin ions with Curie‐Weiss behaviour above 80 K. At lower temperatures a decrease of the effective magnetic moment was observed.  相似文献

The relationship between proton‐donor affinity for SmII ions and the reduction of two substrates (anthracene and benzyl chloride) was examined. A combination of spectroscopic, thermochemical, and kinetic studies show that only those proton donors that coordinate or chelate strongly to SmII promote anthracene reduction through a PCET process. These studies demonstrate that the combination of SmII ions and water does not provide a unique reagent system for formal hydrogen atom transfer to substrates.  相似文献

Directly obtaining kinetic and mechanistic data for the reactions of nitroxyl (HNO) with biomolecules (k≈103–107 m ?1 s?1) is not feasible for many systems because of slow HNO release from HNO donor molecules (t1/2 is typically minutes to hours). To address this limitation, we have developed a photoactivatable HNO donor incorporating the (3‐hydroxy‐2‐naphthalenyl)methyl phototrigger, which rapidly releases HNO on demand. A “proof of concept” study is reported, which demonstrates that, upon continuous xenon light excitation, rapid decomposition of the HNO donor occurs within seconds. The amount of HNO generated is strongly dependent on solvent and the rate of the reaction is dependent on the light intensity.  相似文献

The syntheses of organochalcogen-supported azacalix[3]arenes are described in a one-pot manner in satisfactory yields. A remarkably selective potentiometric response was accomplished for uranyl ions over a variety of other metal ions, including alkali (Na+, K+), alkaline-earth (Mg2+, Ca2+, Ba2+), transition and heavy metal ions (Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Ag+, Fe3+, Zn2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+) using an ion-selective electrode based on compound 3 incorporated into a polymeric (PVC) membrane.  相似文献

Three new dinuclear Zn(II) complexes [Zn(L)(μ1,1-N3)Zn(L)(N3)] · 1.5H2O (1), [Zn(L)(μ1,1-NCO)Zn(L)(NCO)] · 1.5H2O (2) and [Zn(L)(μ1,1-NCS)Zn(L)(NCS)(OH2)] (3) have been synthesized from a potentially tetradentate N2O2-donor Schiff base ligand LH, [LH = (OCH3)(OH)C6H3CHN(CH2)2N(CH3)2], which is the condensation product of o-vanillin and 2-dimethylaminoethylamine. All the three complexes 1, 2 and 3 have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy, TGA and fluorescence studies. Finally, their structures have been established by the single crystal X-ray diffraction method. Structural studies reveal that in complexes 1, 2 and 3 the two Zn(II) centers are held together by a μ2-phenolato oxygen atom and also by an end-on pseudohalide nitrogen (azide for 1; cyanate for 2; thiocyanate for 3) atom. Among the two deprotonated Schiff base ligands present in each complex, one acts as a tetradentate ligand (N2O2 donor set) while the other acts as a tridentate ligand (N2O donor set), having a non-coordinated methoxy group. All the synthesized complexes display intraligand 1(π–π) fluorescence and can potentially serve as photoactive materials.  相似文献
