Multiple insecticides’ residues after the mixed application of several neonicotinoids cause combined pollution and bring new challenges to food safety and pest control during agricultural production. In this study, three neonicotinoid insecticides, namely imidacloprid (IMI), acetamiprid (ACE), and thiamethoxam (TMX), were mixed and evenly sprayed on Brassica chinensis L. in the field. Then, the insecticides’ residues were dynamically monitored to determine the differences in their rates of dissipation and final residues after 10 days. The results showed that the dissipation kinetics of neonicotinoids still conformed to the first-order kinetic model for binary or ternary application of neonicotinoid mixtures, with all determination coefficients (R2) being above 0.9 and the dissipation half-life (DT50) being 2.87–6.74 d. For treatment groups with five times the recommended dosages (IMI 300 g·hm−2, ACE 900 g·hm−2, and TMX 600 g·hm−2), mixed insecticides had a slower dissipation rate, and the DT50 values of mixtures were longer than those of single insecticides. Moreover, the final insecticide residues with mixed application were higher than those of single compounds at 10 d after spraying. Thus, mixed applications of neonicotinoids may increase food safety risks as they increase the final insecticide residues in Brassica chinensis L., and care should therefore be taken when considering the combined use of such compounds. 相似文献

Contaminants of emerging concern (CEC) localize in the biome in variable combinations of complex mixtures that are often environmentally persistent, bioaccumulate and biomagnify, prompting a need for extensive monitoring. Many cosmetics include UV filters that are listed as CECs, such as benzophenone derivatives (oxybenzone, OXYB), cinnamates (2-ethylhexyl 4-methoxycinnamate, EMC) and camphor derivatives (4-methylbenzylidene-camphor, 4MBC). Furthermore, in numerous water sources, these UV filters have been detected together with Bisphenols (BPs), which are commonly used in plastics and can be physiologically detrimental. We utilized bioluminescent bacteria (Microtox assay) to monitor these CEC mixtures at environmentally relevant doses, and performed the first systematic study involving three sunscreen components (OXYB, 4MBC and EMC) and three BPs (BPA, BPS or BPF). Moreover, a breast cell line and cell viability assay were employed to determine the possible effect of these mixtures on human cells. Toxicity modeling, with concentration addition (CA) and independent action (IA) approaches, was performed, followed by data interpretation using Model Deviation Ratio (MDR) evaluation. The results show that UV filter sunscreen constituents and BPs interact at environmentally relevant concentrations. Of notable interest, mixtures containing any pair of three BPs (e.g., BPA + BPS, BPA + BPF and BPS + BPF), together with one sunscreen component (OXYB, 4MBC or EMC), showed strong synergy or overadditive effects. On the other hand, mixtures containing two UV filters (any pair of OXYB, 4MBC and EMC) and one BP (BPA, BPS or BPF) had a strong propensity towards concentration dependent underestimation. The three-component mixtures of UV filters (4MBC, EMC and OXYB) acted in an antagonistic manner toward each other, which was confirmed using a human cell line model. This study is one of the most comprehensive involving sunscreen constituents and BPs in complex mixtures, and provides new insights into potentially important interactions between these compounds. 相似文献

In the last few decades, organic solar cells (OSCs) have drawn broad interest owing to their advantages such as being low cost, flexible, semitransparent, non-toxic, and ideal for roll-to-roll large-scale processing. Significant advances have been made in the field of OSCs containing high-performance active layer materials, electrodes, and interlayers, as well as novel device structures. Particularly, the innovation of active layer materials, including novel acceptors and donors, has contributed significantly to the power conversion efficiency (PCE) improvement in OSCs. In this review, high-performance acceptors, containing fullerene derivatives, small molecular, and polymeric non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs), are discussed in detail. Meanwhile, highly efficient donor materials designed for fullerene- and NFA-based OSCs are also presented. Ionic liquids (ILs) have a wide range of applications, owing to their negligible vapor pressure, high electrical conductivity, and low melting point. However, the thermal hazards of ILs and their mixtures are also non-negligible. In this study, the thermal hazards of various binary imidazolium ionic liquids (BIIL) mixtures were investigated. The effects of parent salt components and molar ratios on the thermal decomposition temperature (Td) and flashpoint temperature (Tf) are investigated. It is found that both Td and Tf increase as the proportion of highly thermally stable components in BIIL mixtures increases. Furthermore, the decomposition process of BIIL mixtures can be divided into two stages. For most molar ratios, the Tf of the BIIL mixtures is in the first stage of thermal decomposition. When the proportion of highly thermally stable components is relatively high, Tf is in the second stage of thermal decomposition. The flammability is attributed to the produced combustible gases during the thermal decomposition process. This work would be reasonably expected to provide some guidance for the safety design and application of IL mixtures for engineering. 相似文献

A new strategy is presented here which integrates combinatorial library technology with the antitumor in vitro screening system at the National Cancer Institute in the search for novel antitumor agents. Mixture-based synthetic combinatorial libraries (SCLs) representing hundreds of thousands to millions of individual compounds were screened against the cell-based assay, which evaluates compounds for their ability to inhibit the growth of 60 different human tumor cell lines. Five different SCLs, composed of peptides, peptidomimetics, polyamines or small molecules were first tested against three cell lines to identify the most active SCLs. Two SCLs, namely the N-perbenzylated pentamine and the N-acylated permethylated triamine, were deconvoluted to yield individual compounds having significant activities against the 60 tumor cell lines. Active compounds were tested in mice to determine the maximum tolerated dose, followed by in vivo testing in a hollow fiber assay. Using this strategy, three different compounds identified directly from SCLs are currently being evaluated in human tumor xenografts. This study demonstrates for the first time the use of in vitro cell-based assays to identify antitumor lead compounds from mixture-based combinatorial libraries. 相似文献
